We booked this via Expedia with flights. On check-in we were unnerved by a few mix ups over the room with occupancy (they thought 2 but we booked for 4 and a request to pay a charge for tax which was €600 but on checking was €36!). Nevertheless it's staff are extremely friendly, competent and keen to help, it is a very clean and central hotel. PC and printing facilities available. Downsides - no restaurant, building work noise all around from 9a.m. (temporary?), kids' room missing half a blackout curtain (odd!). Adriana's and Mozarrella Street across the road very friendly and good food too. Will definitely book this hotel again.
Hotel was well located with 10 minutes walk but hotel itself was totally average however it was over priced. Rooms decoration felt out dated and for breakfast there wasn't much options. Staff was ok, there were no bell boys to assist you for luggage. Stay there if you have to and you have no other choices.
My dad left his I-Pad in his room and we didn't realize it until we were at the airport. I called and a Mr Jacques Ramat helped us. He was amazing. He sent us all the information and kept following up with us. He made sure we received it and everything was good. There were some problems with the post and he kept on top of it. All the staff was helpful and always had a smile on their faces. The location was good too.
If you can, go get a Airbnb as this place is average at best. This is not a 4 star! Found body hair on toilet seat which only means the stuff did not clean it properly. There was no shower cap in vanity kit which means staff did not check properly. And not to mention the hair dryer is from the 50s. The only saviour was the helpfulness of front staff in terms of booking taxis and the restaurant ladies with breakfast. The accommodation itself is definitely more of a motel than a supposed 4 star hotel. If you MUST come here, then bring the following: shower gel, hair shampoo and conditioner, toothbrush, slippers and buy bottles of water! Oh and you can go to front desk and ask for a modern hair dryer, but they are few and far between, so fight for your life. Good luck!!
Bathroom badly needs replacing, too old to be cleaned properly and fabric shower curtain hanging in bath stained. Must be hard for cleaners to make it look presentable. Room itself and bed were clean, breakfast good choice. Convenient location for Croisette but a long walk to the Old Town for choice of restaurants. Will stay elsewhere next time we visit Cannes.
Good location close to the croisette, clean rooms. Bathroom was small en and getting out of the shower hazardous due to the high step. Breakfast was ok, but artificial with industrial eggs, croissants and muffins. I did love the balcony outside the room!
The positives: polite and well-informed staff; an excellent location just a few minutes from the super-expensive hotels on the front; a nice pool area with plenty of room to sunbathe (but look out for mosquitoes - we were bitten like mad! And the kitchenette, which despite some design oddities, was a God-send in expensive Cannes. Good air-conditioning, too. The negatives; our room was an odd shape and poorly laid-out (#419). It was basically a reversed "L" shape, with the (tiny) bathroom to the left and the bed (comfortable) straight-ahead. Firstly, the bathroom: the shower was powerful; that was good. But to use it, you had to stand in the tiny bath at an odd angle to get wet - had the shower been located in the obvious place - at the end of the bath - it'd have been fine. As it was, one had to contort oneself into an odd angle to use the shower. Similarly, the toilet was so close to the wall, that I had to sit at a 45 degree angle to use it. And whilst the bed was comfortable, to get past it to the window you had a tiny one foot (30cm) gap between the end of the bed and the wardrobes. Not a good lay-out at all. It would have made far more sense to swap the kitchenette location and the bed location. But despite this, we liked the hotel - it was certainly a bargain compared to most similar hotels in Cannes. And despite the dated rooms and (in our case) odd lay-out of the room, I'd recommend it to anyone on a budget who wants a pool.
The interior of the hotel was nice and modern and location wise the hotel is excellent. Rooms were cleaned daily eight fresh towels. The reception staff were also friendly and helpful. Down sides of the hotel were that only some rooms had balconys even though they were on the same row, wifi although free timed out every 15 mins and was hard to connect, breakfast was 19 euros and there were no staff dedicated to the bar, the receptionists made the drinks when they weren't busy at reception first. We also found a tool nail in our bed! Luckily we spotted that before any injuries were made. Fair room rates and good location but would not return
I've attended an event at Martinez on Tuesday and knowing that I would only need a hotel to change and sleep, did not want to pay Martinez prices. Clarion Suites is perfectly located just around the corner from where I needed to be, so I gave it a go. Location of the hotel is fantastic. I had a standard room, which was rather large - a very pleasant surprise. The decor was a bit dated, but everything was in a good state, everything worked and there was plenty of storage space. The small kitchenette they have in the rooms can be very useful. There are plenty of plates, cutlery and glasses, making an in-room dining an appealing option during the longer stays. The bed was a large double / queen size, and the mattress is a bit on the firmer side. Good quality bedding. Bathroom was fine. Same as the room, a bit basic, but everything worked. I've stayed on the second floor, and it was a bit dark in the room. The staff at the reception desk are rather indifferent. No one asks how your stay was and whether you needed anything. Check-out was long, long, long.. There was only one person processing the checkouts, and the second person just sat next to him, even though there was a queue of people. I've moved over to her to see if she could help to speed up the process, and she said I had to go back, as she wasn't doing the checkouts. Oh well. They offer daily breakfast at 15 euros per person. I just thought I would mention that there is an abundance of lovely cafes and boulangeries within minutes walk. I had a wonderful French breakfast for 7 euros just off the Rue d'Antibes. All in all, it was an adequate stay in a fantastic location. I presume the 4 star rating comes mostly from the presence of a pool and a spa, but certainly not from the service. I did not have any problems during my - very short, one night - stay, but it also wasn't the experience to write home about.
We were planning on spending 7 nights at the Clarion Suites Cannes and left after 3 nights, forfeiting our prepaid hotel room, because we hated it so much. There isn't much good to say about this hotel, other than the fridge is cold. Honestly, that was the best thing about this hotel! The front desk staff were friendly but their kindness could not make up for the rundown state of the hotel. Our room was dated, uncomfortable and grimy. I felt like there was a thin layer of dirt on everything. The washroom tiles were moldy, the shower head faced the wall rather than out into the tub. You had to close the door and shuffle around the toilet in order to sit down. Drapes were falling off the rod. One of our bed legs collapsed. The pillows were old and lumpy. Then there's the pool area!! Chaos! Kids were running and doing cannonballs into the pool. I pulled my child out for fear she'd get jumped on. People were smoking despite the no smoking sign. There were people coming and going who weren't guests of the hotel. They'd use a little door by the bar to come and go. The bartender was smoking as he made drinks for customers.. Yuck! This isn't a four star hotel. I'd give it two stars. I'll never go back not would I tell anyone I know to go there.
