My family chose Krystal because of the location where it is located at one of best beaches in Hotel Cancun zone. We knew from the review not to have high expectation that we normally receive when we travel to five star hotels or even four star hotels. Having said that, we still were disappointed in the quality of food, but most of all, it was service that disappointed us. some staff were courteous and kind but some were very rude to a point we never experienced in Cancun area. The hotel management should look into managing some of their staff better. good hospitality goes a long way...

I'm not usually a picky eater, but the food was definitely not great. Poor selection at buffet. Didn't restock water in our mini fridge even after calling. Didn't replace towels in our room. No hot water for 2 days. Not enough beach chairs.Jose the beach waiter was great as was the beach, but will go elsewhere next time.

The first room we had was very musty-smelling. To find out, the filter in the room was caked with mould, and a back piece behind the coffee machine came off, which was also mouldy. We asked to change rooms, which they accommodated the next day, not the same day, but it did not have light in the main sleeping area, so it was dark. It took a bit to get a lamp sent to the room. There was not much for young kids to do. They had 1 small kids' playground with 2 small slides, 1 swing, and a small climbing section. The hotel has some evening events that get loud and go until 10 or 11, and the hotel's echo carries them into the rooms. We were on the 11th and 6th floors, and it sounds like you are on the main floor. The pools were ice cold the ocean was warmer. These are some of the cons of this place. The Pros. The food and staff were great. Being right on the beautiful beach is super impressive. Being within walking distance of restaurants and shopping is charming. Only a 5-10 min taxi ride to the mall and aquarium. If you are going without kids, this is a decent place to go.

The customer service is terrible. The waitress get bothered easily when asked for simply things as utensils. The lobbies have a horrible aroma that comes out continuously from this machine, very strong and bad air freshener. The mattress need to be replace as they have no support or cushion. This was my second time staying here. Definitely not coming back here again.

Food was mostly awful, sad to report for this hotel to be in Mexico and not have authentic dishes is very sad and no shrimp. The grill should change its name, not really any grilled meats. French restaurant was ok, the escargot not so much, it was over cooked. Expected more from a taqueria and not just a selection of 2 meats. We stayed in the Altitude and I will not go back, not worth the money.

They did not have much food options especially the buffets very minimal options. Staff was not the nicest, been to Cancun multiple times and this is the first hotel that felt like I was a burden to the employees

I am writing this review after a deeply frustrating stay where nearly every fundamental aspect of hotel service failed. This was not about a single mishap, but a cascading series of neglectful issues that made our stay stressful and unacceptable. Here is a summary of our experience: · Check-In & Room Readiness: We arrived to find our room was not ready. When we finally gained access, it was clear it had not been properly prepared. Most shockingly, we found a previous guest's prescription medication still inside the fridge. This is a serious breach of basic cleaning and safety protocols. · Chronic Understaffing & Neglect: The theme of our stay was being ignored. The mini-bar was not refilled for two full days. For a group of four, only one towel was provided. We called for extra towels and waited 40 minutes with no delivery. A second call resulted in a total wait time of over an hour for a simple request that should take minutes. · Restaurant & Dining Issues: The on-site restaurant was consistently overbooked, making reservations impossible. When we did dine at the grill for lunch, the service was unacceptably poor, matching the overall theme of neglect felt throughout the hotel.
