Food options are lacking, and I’ve noticed other guests complaining to staff even during their dining experiences. During my extended stay, our room was only cleaned once. Additionally, there’s a need for more staff. One cook was yelled at during lunch because she had a line but was the only one serving and cooking the food. This was extremely unprofessional. Customer service informed us that they’d be closing for a six-month remodel. It seemed like they didn’t care about the complaints or good service since they’ll be closing soon.

Room and resort was spotless. All employees were courteous, helpful and friendly. The pool/ towel boys are always the very best. Even though we are not hall of fame or members they treat us like we are. Thanks so much to Tacho, Willy, Tony, Angel, and Edwin. Jesus ( the smaller guy) was our server by the pool and he was great!

When I checked in, my room was not ready. I waited 2 hours for a room which delayed my day of arrival at the hotel. They tried to make up for it with a 25 min free massage, but the room they ended up giving me was not what I paid for and it really impacted my stay and birthday experience. I really wish I would’ve been given a better room or had my room been ready from the beginning.

The service was good. The property is severely lacking and maintenance and upkeep. It’s very worn in my opinion. The gym facilities are an absolute joke too small. The food was OK. I went because of the brand expecting it to be better and was disappointed to be honest.

We had a very disappointing stay at Hard Rock Hotel Cancun. We traveled from London and arrived extremely tired, but after check-in we were forced to wait for 45 minutes listening to a staff member explain the hotel, despite clearly asking to go to our room to rest. The next morning, we were misled into attending a so-called “breakfast” to receive discounts on excursions and spa services. This turned into a nearly 3-hour investment/timeshare sales pitch. We were on holiday, not there to discuss investments. This felt misleading and intrusive, and honestly like a scam. Service throughout the hotel was poor. Room service never arrived after waiting over an hour for a simple tea and cake. Spa massage quality was very low. Reception refused a 2-hour late checkout, even when we offered to pay and explained our flight was at 7pm and one of us was unwell. Food was also disappointing: buffet poor, Italian restaurant below standard, Japanese was okay, Toro Steakhouse was good, Isla very limited and not a real seafood restaurant. Overall, the service and experience were far worse than Secrets The Vine next door, where we stayed last year. Definitely not the luxury experience this hotel claims to offer.
