Went on a vacation here with a group of friends. The conditions of this hotel are extremely outdated but the staff is awesome. Water damage everywhere, including rooms, the main lobby actually had part of the ceiling collapse, luckily no one was walking under it or they would have been seriously injured. Be careful in the pool, one of my friends sliced their foot open on loose tile that ended with getting stitches in his foot. Staff was responsive but this happened to two people the previous 2 days. All they did was have a life guard swim around and pick up loose tile and then throw it in the plants along the pool. Lifeguard at the beach is not friendly, got kicked out of the water numerous times when we were only waist high. This ended with him calling GP staff and them taking pictures of us. The tropical storm really put a damper on the trip but we tried to make the best of it. Overall I'd spend the extra $$ and go to a different resort if I had to do it all over again. Staff is really friendly and will give you whatever you want.

The resort was overall great. The food was good with many options to choose from. And if you don't go see Moses in the Sixties Club, you're crazy! Best bartender hands down!

Had a nice 5 night stay in early June.Awesome beach, plenty of Palapas and loungers.Pool was Allright.could use a good scrubbing but not real bad.Food was typical AI food, drinks didn't seem bad.For a nice vacation on a low budget this place can't be beat. Our room was very moldy smelling and they really need to do something about that. The staff was awesome and they really went out of their way to keep everyone happy.I'd return if I could get a mold free room.

This was my husband and I first trip to Cancun, we chose this hotel based off price. If you are looking for something affordable this is the way to go. The rooms are outdated but other than that it was great. The staff is amazing. Jose is wonderful as well as Martin.

If your on a tight budget then this is a place for you , the only reason I choose this place is because I paid for 8 people . The food was ok, Peir 12 and Shangri la was decent , the rest was average, no fridge in room, no bucket of beers on beach , no food service on beach or pool, they only had two beers on draft available, no can or bottle beers , no swim up bar , overall average resort. Pay an extra $200 and go to Me Cancun or Hard Rock

Only issues we had were no key for the safe, couldn't get a straight answer as to why. Excursion shuttle never picked us up but the representative at the resort corrected the issue and the excursion was a blast

Wonderful staff, fun hotel bars, rooms were good.

Maravillosa estancia, personal muy acogedor y amable. Muy preocupados de la comodidad y seguridad de los turistas.

Enjoyed spending time with so many of the people that I've met throughout the years here at this resort.

The check in process was quick. I was asked to sit in a comfy chair and they would come to me with my room key. When the clerk arrived she handed me my welcome package and said that my room had been upgraded to the 6th floor. This room comes with a jacuzzi tub in the room. The room was large and clean but the bed is short. I'm six foot and my feet hang over the edge. There is a mini fridge in the room that is empty. They provide two small bottles of water a day. Thankfully there is a gift shop in the hotel that sells water. I paid a dollar for a liter bottle. The resort is small and you don't need to make reservations at the restaurants. Only one of these required no shorts for men. I enjoyed my week stay and would go back.

Pros: location (right on the beach, pool overlooks the beach and ocean), extremely friendly staff, great view from upper rooms, affordable, rooms were cleaned daily, 24/7 room service, food in the Paradise buffet (breakfast/lunch) had a lot of variety and was tasty Cons: no free wifi, food in restaurants was not good at all, limited pool activities, cocktail waitresses around pool were slow and sometimes forgot drinks completely, older property and is needing some serious upgrades around pool/hottub area. For the amount of $$ to stay at this property, we were satisfied enough. Next time we will probably spend the extra cash and upgrade a little bit. Jose the bartender deserves a shout out- extremely friendly went out of his way to say hello and seemed to honestly love his job! Made it a lot of fun for us!

we had a lot of fun,the beach end drinks were great.thefood was fine

Gave us double beds when we ordered a king. Said sorry can't help. We have to call orbitz. Very unpleasant check in and stay

We stayed there for 4 nights, 5 days. Upon check-in the staff was amazing. It wasn't the typical standing at the front desk check-in... they seated us in the lobby and got the bartender to make us welcome drinks. They checked us in quickly! When we got to our room, it looked outdated... different from what we saw online but I think it's because we didn't have the beach view. Maybe the beach view rooms were renovated. The furniture in our room was older than most resorts we're stayed in the past. Our view was the parking lot, BUT a perfect view of the sunset. Food was all right. Drinks were watered/juiced down; didn't really taste the alcohol (which can be a good thing sometimes). They had a taco area by the pool, but didn't really get to try it because some of the condiments looked like it was left out for a long time and not fresh [or safe] to eat. There's just one main pool and a rectangular shaped jacuzzi. The pool is cute to be able to relax in, and then enjoy pool activities that the hotel throws on. I noticed the grout/tiling in the pool and jacuzzi was not attractive at all. But because it was alongside the beautiful beach, you really can't be mad. About 20 mins from the CANCUN airport, less than a 15-20 min walk to the La Isla Shopping plaza (which has really high ends stores like LV, Gucci, etc., and some rental car services)

The food was ok in the buffet, but excellent in the restaurants we tried (Restaurant Pier 12, Shangri-La, and Sumo). The staff were amazing and extremely friendly and attentive. The entertainment was good, but could maybe introduce more/new games to entice guests to join the fun.

First, I contacted the hotel to see if they could accommodate lactose intolerant diets as my girlfriend is highly allergic. Received all positive feedback from the staff. A could days before flying out they even took my name and confirmation number to spread word to the restaurants and I dispensed food allergy cards in Spanish upon arrival. Not one staff member had any clue what we were talking about when trying to dine which made things very difficult. Checkin was another problem as our room wasn't ready and according to Gustavo it was because they were overbooked. After waiting nearly two hours, our room was ready and I asked about getting comped some free wifi. Gustavo agreed to give me two free days. Upon checking out with Vanessa, she informed me I owed $15 for one of the days because they aren't allowed to comp two days and that Gustavo should have collected money when I received the 2nd pass. The $15 wasn't a big deal, but being lied to by Gustavo and having to pay before we could check out was very dishonest. Vanessa even tried to have the manager come talk to me but she never showed and talked to Vanessa on the phone and instructed her to stand by the charge. Only two bars open after about 10pm and they get very busy. Room service was our second option for dining safety but all 6 meals we ordered took 40 minutes to deliver and every time the plain chicken sandwich we ordered had cheese on it so we had to wait another 40 minutes for a new sandwich.

We recently came back from our 4th visit to Golden Parnassus. I never thought I would be the type of person to revisit the same place, but Golden Parnassus holds a special place in my heart. Awesome thing #1 ADULTS ONLY! Need I say more? Awesome thing #2 It's a smaller resort, so you are remembered by all of the staff and you never feel like you are far from anything. Awesome thing #3 (or maybe #1?) THE STAFF! Seriously the best of any resort I have ever stayed. They make a point to remember you, your name, where you like to sit at breakfast, what you like to drink and what you like to do. They are all friendly and easy to strike up a conversation with. We always look forward to eating at Sumo and The Old Barn. Sumo, their Japanese/sushi restaurant, was probably the best this time than any other time. The Old Barn is a fun little streak house. Lower your expectations just a bit and you will thoroughly enjoy the meals. We haven't eaten at the other 2 restaurants for the past few visits because we never feel like packing nicer clothes! We decided to save money and stay on the lagoon side this year, which was really great! Up high, it's a beautiful view of the lagoon with downtown Cancun on the other side of the lagoon, probably 2 miles away? And you get to watch the sunset from this side. If you prefer high luxury and huge resorts with 10 restaurants, this place is not for you. If you prefer a more intimate setting "where everyone knows your name" then look no further.

Too many alcoholics and drunk noisy people, but other than that it is good

The front desk/customer service was the greatest and all the other hotel staff was AMAZING!!! We had the best time, great people, hotel, and Food! We will definetely be coming back to visit very soon.

Overall the hotel was a nice hotel. Large hot tub but small pool. Room were out dated. Every time you walked in the room it smelled like old sewer. Tv was horrible in the second room we had. Room service- by the time it comes up the food is cold. Restaurants overall were good and Drinks were good.
