The food was ok in the buffet, but excellent in the restaurants we tried (Restaurant Pier 12, Shangri-La, and Sumo). The staff were amazing and extremely friendly and attentive. The entertainment was good, but could maybe introduce more/new games to entice guests to join the fun.

First, I contacted the hotel to see if they could accommodate lactose intolerant diets as my girlfriend is highly allergic. Received all positive feedback from the staff. A could days before flying out they even took my name and confirmation number to spread word to the restaurants and I dispensed food allergy cards in Spanish upon arrival. Not one staff member had any clue what we were talking about when trying to dine which made things very difficult. Checkin was another problem as our room wasn't ready and according to Gustavo it was because they were overbooked. After waiting nearly two hours, our room was ready and I asked about getting comped some free wifi. Gustavo agreed to give me two free days. Upon checking out with Vanessa, she informed me I owed $15 for one of the days because they aren't allowed to comp two days and that Gustavo should have collected money when I received the 2nd pass. The $15 wasn't a big deal, but being lied to by Gustavo and having to pay before we could check out was very dishonest. Vanessa even tried to have the manager come talk to me but she never showed and talked to Vanessa on the phone and instructed her to stand by the charge. Only two bars open after about 10pm and they get very busy. Room service was our second option for dining safety but all 6 meals we ordered took 40 minutes to deliver and every time the plain chicken sandwich we ordered had cheese on it so we had to wait another 40 minutes for a new sandwich.

We recently came back from our 4th visit to Golden Parnassus. I never thought I would be the type of person to revisit the same place, but Golden Parnassus holds a special place in my heart. Awesome thing #1 ADULTS ONLY! Need I say more? Awesome thing #2 It's a smaller resort, so you are remembered by all of the staff and you never feel like you are far from anything. Awesome thing #3 (or maybe #1?) THE STAFF! Seriously the best of any resort I have ever stayed. They make a point to remember you, your name, where you like to sit at breakfast, what you like to drink and what you like to do. They are all friendly and easy to strike up a conversation with. We always look forward to eating at Sumo and The Old Barn. Sumo, their Japanese/sushi restaurant, was probably the best this time than any other time. The Old Barn is a fun little streak house. Lower your expectations just a bit and you will thoroughly enjoy the meals. We haven't eaten at the other 2 restaurants for the past few visits because we never feel like packing nicer clothes! We decided to save money and stay on the lagoon side this year, which was really great! Up high, it's a beautiful view of the lagoon with downtown Cancun on the other side of the lagoon, probably 2 miles away? And you get to watch the sunset from this side. If you prefer high luxury and huge resorts with 10 restaurants, this place is not for you. If you prefer a more intimate setting "where everyone knows your name" then look no further.

Too many alcoholics and drunk noisy people, but other than that it is good

The front desk/customer service was the greatest and all the other hotel staff was AMAZING!!! We had the best time, great people, hotel, and Food! We will definetely be coming back to visit very soon.

Overall the hotel was a nice hotel. Large hot tub but small pool. Room were out dated. Every time you walked in the room it smelled like old sewer. Tv was horrible in the second room we had. Room service- by the time it comes up the food is cold. Restaurants overall were good and Drinks were good.

I would definitely come back to this resort. All the staff were so nice and really worked hard to make your vacation relaxing. The food is the best I have ever had at an All Inclusive. Drinks were great! The proximity of the rooms to the pool area and beach are super close! Only took about 1.5 minutes to walk from room to pool. The pool is great for hanging out in and drinking! Tons of lounge chairs. The huts and loungers down on the beach go fast, but around the pool you never need to reserve a chair.

Good location. Staff is awesome! Enjoyed the shows. Martin is the best and the MC (forgot her name) great job! Hotel is average. It is clean & comfortable. Food is good. Shout out to waiters Pedro and Roberto. Oscar too, made our stay extra fun!

I got bad experience at Golden Parnassus Resort & Spa, Cancun last week. I booked hotel which was Deluxe Room, Ocean View. On 12/28, my daughter came in and I asked to change a 2 beds room and they did. However, they finally charged us additional $185, $45 internet fee and $140 for Ocean View room. 1, My booking was covered ocean view, should not charged again; 2, I never got any info for the internet usage and no one gave us a password.

All kitchen staff are awesome. Food was great. Reception staff need Extensive customer service training, housekeeping staff were so amazing and attentive. Facilities theme selves were really great everything worked at all times and staff really cater to your needs. Pool and spa always clean and they close til 11pm. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Located a walk away from aqua world, marina del Rey, and water activities.

We had never been to an all-inclusive place, so can't really "compare". But being slightly older allows for a wide life experience and we found the Golden Parnassus not only charming and relaxed; but the fun they put together through their entertainment staff was authentic and accessible to the child in all of us. The daytime activities and the nighttime entertainment were so much fun, many of the guest felt able to converse about it and enjoy it together. The bars, both indoors and out by the pool and on the beach, were natural "mixers" - even though I really don't drink alcohol at all. Just ordering water and occupying a seat or standing around allowed for easy conversation with fellow guests from all parts of the world, but mostly US & Canada. Very difficult to convey, but we felt we were at a big party or classmate reunion where everyone was relaxed and open to talking and laughing. The food was absolutely fresh and the entire hotel - from room to lobby to beach - was perfectly clean. There was plenty of variety in the onsite restaurantes; and while it can be said that the chefs were not from New York's finest schools, the food was very nicely done -and well above average. Unusual for us, we never left the property. We had our 20 year old son with us on winter break from college. He joined in all the beach and pool volleyball, beach soccer, etc -even did karaoke at night. Altogether a highly memorable experience. We plan to make this Parnassus an annual tradition.

We had a wonderful time, met some very nice people. Staff was excellent. Good food and spirits, all inclusive, adults only. Will be going back in the future. My wife and I had a great time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4th time here. I never tire of the GP. I do feel however that the entertainment staff was very disappointing. I do not like the way the bartenders are moved around either. Also feel like the bar managers are very unfriendly. Food and service at shangrila was not top notch as usual but pier 12 was amazing. Chairs were hard to find but not impossible. I also missed the hammocks. Many chairs are in need of repair. As always my most favorites of the week were Jose, Carlos, fonzie, Maria, Oscar and gamma. Fernando in the barn was also very sweet. Rosa our room maid was amazing as well. The gift shops are prices fairly. Concierge were hard to find. David the photographer was also awesome. Lifeguards were always on the lookout as we had red flags all week.

was there for 6 days, great stay, wonderful staff-very friendly and helpful. Older crowd of people there. great size of place, not to big, not too small.

All in all, it's anice resort. We did have problems on check in. Our reservation was for a king size bed. When we got to the room, there were two double beds. Not a big deal for most, but we were staying here for our anniversary & didn't want to sleep in separate beds. We went downstairs to the concierge and explain our situation. We were told the room requests are not guaranteed during reservation. She said to come back tomorrow and they would switch rooms for us, but we would have to check out & check back in again. We went back down the next day and no one had any idea what we were talking about. We tried to explain ourselves, again, requesting the king bed and were told the hotel was full but they would do their best. The hotel was nowhere near full. We were able to switch to a king bed later that day, checking out/checking in again. The king room was more updated/modern and had a much nicer bed. The restaurants/bar service are excellent, drinks are definitely watered down but still very good. Wait staff are amazing! The biggest problem I had with this resort was limited ocean swimming. We had Red flags up for most of our stay which meant the surf was rough and the lifeguards only allowed us to go up to our knees. Seriously, up to our knees. We then walked about a mild along the shoreline in front of our hotel and other resorts. Not one other resort had the same restriction, people wave jumping, etc.

The resort was beautiful and you are made to feel welcome as soon as you arrive. The front-end staff were very courteous and helpful. The staff throughout the resort was amazing and made me feel at home. I wish that I could remember everyone's name, but people like Diego, Carlos, Jose, Jesus, Fermin, Moises, etc. I really wish I could name everyone. Yolanda did a fantastic job of cleaning the room up. Really whole the hotel and restaurants are fantastic it was really the amazing staff that made my stay special. I was legitimately sad to leave and would definitely visit again! Thank you to all of the staff at the Golden Parnassus! I'll miss you guys.

This was our 8th time at the Golden, The pool was turned into a topless area. To the dismay of a lot of first timer's.

Very good quality....less congested compared to other hotels...great food choices...good entertainment....fun stay :)

We had a wonderful time at this hotel--breakfast was fantastic, the restaurants were super nice, all food was terrific, pool and beach picturesque, all staff--all of them--were always friendly, quick to help when needed, and a joy to be around. Albeit not the hotel's fault, the extreme humidity left the room floors perpetually wet, and thus a little dangerous. All the floors are tiled, which makes them slippery. Hotel does its best to warn people to be careful when walking around.

Wonderful Amazing Staff!!! Beautiful Beach!!! Smaller more personal hotel. Lots to do at the hotel and around the area! Stayed at the Golden Parnassus 6 times!!! Love it there!!! Alfonso, Jesus, and Moises did an Awesome job as usual at the Beach Tiki keeping customers entertained and refreshed!
