As others have noted decor is from the 70’s! Furniture was comfy. Bed not so much. I’ve never seen a kitchen that well outfitted in a rental! However I was there for the view and it did not disappoint!

Great spot for a getaway

This was a really great spot for a weekend getaway for me and my friend. The view from the deck cannot be beat. The beds were comfortable. The furniture was a little worn, but perfectly serviceable. The property manager responded quickly whenever we had a question. Would absolutely stay here again! It's not a palace, but we didn't need one.

Simple home, spectacular location

Lovers of lavish accommodation may find this house a little lacking. The features are simple and by no means fancy, but the house met all our needs with ease. The location is absolutely amazing. Winter views of the Cascades and changing skies were mesmerizing. My brother and I are both children of the 1970's, so some of the details that might seem out of date to others were a delight to us. We would definitely stay here again.

Just right

The cottage was just right for the two of us! It feels like visiting a family property, well-stocked for cooking and easy to find supplies for the bathroom, etc! The only suggestion would be for the owners to leave the place a tad warmer for guests. It took a couple of hours with the electric base heaters to get the place to a comfortable temperature. Other than that, it was just perfect. We loved sitting, watching the tide roll in an out and wandering the beach. We’d recommend to friends!

Very dated and uncomfortable overall

Where do I start? The pros: The neighborhood was lovely and the area by the water was very peaceful. We really needed a place to relax and it was really nice to get away from the noise of the city. The cons: I was very surprised at how dated this house is. Brown water, etc., okay, we can rough it for a weekend, but the beds were so uncomfortable, it made it very hard to get any rest. Like ‘injury inducing’ kind of bad where you might as well bring your own beds, which defeats the purpose. Considering the price we paid per night, I found what we got vs. what we paid for to be a huge discrepancy and disappointing. And the last pain point was the booking itself. It’s NOT the owners fault but I booked through VRBO and it was handled through Vacasa. I never signed up for Vacasa and found it to be very confusing, both for check in and checking out. I now am being spammed by some 3rd party I never signed up for, not to mention it made asking any questions beforehand impossible because my message never got to the actual owner of the property, so it was just a lot of red flags I tried to ignore because I really needed a weekend away. We enjoyed the place in spite of these glaring issues. It’s really quiet and we didn’t even have anyone home next door so totally private. But it wasn’t worth the back pain and not having anywhere comfortable to sit all weekend.It’s totally fine for a quiet weekend if you like really, really, REALLY firm mattresses, otherwise skip it.
