I had such an awesome stay at this hostel! the people are great, the food is great, the staff is great. Especially Samantha Sloan, at the travelers desk is just a jewel. She helped me out so much with the rest of my trip and her positive energy just always made my day. would always come back here <3
Great pool and bar spaces, they have a travel zoo come visit so you can hold pythons and Crocs in reception! Regular free shuttles into town but the highlight was the staff. Shoutout to Marvin who sorted out everything efficiently and with a smile which is always great to see. All the staff though were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend
I mean, here you really get what you pay for. Great budget accommodation for backpackers and alike. Decent rooms with great aircon. About 95% of the staff are awesome, helpful and a real asset to the company. Would recommend if you’re looking for somewhere to sleep and shower. Bar on site has great deals and cheap drinks!
Great hostel with a bar and pool. Clean and comfortable. Rooms were very spacious. Staff all very friendly. Shout out Travel Sam who helped me book a lot of my tours and spent a lot of time with me, much appreciated! Definitely recommend
The hostel is very dated, it’s dirty and The rooms are so cramped I have never seen so many beds squashed in such a small space. There is one plug socket in the room for 10people to share I asked reception for and extension they just said that it would be a good idea for them to get some but that they don’t have any! Also miles away from anything but they do offer a free shuttle every couple of hours
Room was alright for what was paid, simple yet sufficient, but felt somewhat deceived that the advertised free shuttle to and from airport wasn't free and had limited hours of operation. Staff were good and helpful to deal with however. Was glad there was some air-conditioning but had no control of the temperature. Overall though, was happy to have a roof over us for minimal price.
Good room , bed was comfy enough, the shower was real nice, the only downside was the water spilled out onto the bathroom floor. Staff were always nice and the pool was nice to be around , clean kitchen area but it seems a bit cluttered though
Recently stayed for three days over the weekend and had a wonderful stay. We ran into a bit of an issue with our room and the staff was so quick to help us take care of it. The general manager was absolutely incredible. She was so quick to take care of us and make sure we were happy. Thank you for the wonderful stay :) I would definitely recommend this hostel.
No hot water, can not bring alcohol on to the premises and the bar is very expensive for crap alcohol. Staff were very friendly and nice, but generally incompetent. The other guests were PIGS. seriously. No cutlery (lucky we had our own in the car) or cooking things not washed. I think a lot of young long timers on work visa's that have had mummy clean up after them their whole lives. Complete lack of any respect for fellow backpackers. Pushy in the kitchen, and just sit around on their phones. You have to pay for a blanket (seriously!! Lucky we had our own in the car). They control the air con and run it 24 7 and it's freezing and wastes sooooo much energy. If we hadn't told them to turn it off it would have ran for 14 hours in an empty room while we were in the tablelands. Crazy. After 7 years of backpacking through most of Asia, Africa and Europe and only being back on home soil for a few weeks, this hostel is embarrassing to say the least. It would be in my bottom 5 mainly because of the guests and crazy rules. Staff had great smiles, but not a lot going on behind there in terms of running a good efficient hostel. And trust me, I've stayed in some pretty dirty places in some rough areas that have been a better experience.
Not the best hostel I stayed at. Overall not really clean, with random wet spots on the floors of the hallways, and poor service. the kitchen was kinda gross and closed earlier than convenient. The buses into/out of town were nice, but inconvenient, so I had to walk home in the dark if I wanted to be back after 7 PM but before midnight. The guests were not very friendly, and the bar was very loud at night. They advertised free WiFi, but only in the bar between 7 PM and 9 PM, and I could not connect to the internet to save my life... the only saving grace was free AC in the rooms, though you have to request the front desk to turn it on every day. I would recommend a smaller hostel that you could probably get at a similar price, where you would have better company...
