Worst Hotel Stay of My Life

We checked in at 5p on 7/3 and were told all of the kitchen items - coffee makers, etc, were all given out and there were no more available. Our room was dirty when we arrived and had a strong odor. At 10:45p a hotel employee entered our room without knocking, using a master key card and scaring me to death. We were told he meant to go into a room further down the hall. At 12:15a, the oder got stronger and we noticed raw sewage in the shower. We were moved to another room at 12:30a that was also very dirty (see photo of shower door) and had a strong smell of sewer gas. We were afraid to use the shower in the room because we thought the possibility of sewage backing up was high due to the smell. I repeatedly asked to speak to a manager and was told he wasn’t available. We left early in the morning and stayed with friends for the day. We stopped back at the room around 5p and noticed the bed was covered with white particles - it was pieces of the popcorn ceiling that was falling. I took some of the pieces of the ceiling to the front desk and asked to speak to a manager and was again told he wasn’t available. At this point, we packed up the car and left. We returned to speak to the manager and return the keys at 9a on our scheduled check out day and was told again that there was no one that could speak to us about all of these issues and we would not be refunded and money.

Convenient to major routes. Staff very friendly, but after 1 week we had to ask for clean towels. We also had to put our garbage outside the door. Never notified as to how often rooms are cleaned. It wasn't done unless we asked. We were staying there for 2 weeks and a few days and when we arrived 1/2 hour early they wanted to charge a fee. I refused and we waited until the proper time. When I questioned why and since we were spending a lot of money there I felt it was inappropriate, the clerks response was they don't care and upper management won't care about my complaint. We also had to evacuate 3 separate times for fire alarm going off and the fire department had to give the all clear. The web site says breakfast included. What a joke. Breakfast consisted of coffee, muffin and oatmeal. No fruit, no juice, no cereal, no toast, not even a waffle maker. I would never stay here again.

Basic stay

This hotel for me served its purpose which was proximity to the airport. Other than that, I wouldn’t recommend it for a normal night stay. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and very helpful. Our door did not close all the way, and even though we could lock it with the deadbolt, we couldn’t use the security lock. This wasn’t the gentleman‘s fault at the desk though, and he was very apologetic. Breakfast was very limited. It’s only a couple of prepackaged muffins, granola bars and oatmeal. So don’t expect too much there. No restaurants around the area, but they do have a small store which had frozen meals that were fairly affordable.

This was the dirtiest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. The sheet was stained, the floors were dirty and sticky, there was a stray pill on the shelf, there was garbage on the floor, my dog found a used qtip, there was a dead bug squished on the wall, and the counters were not clean. The room also smelled like cigarettes and dog pee. Then when I went to complain and got new sheets, I pulled off the old sheet and the mattress was covered in dog hair. Completely disgusting. Will never stay again.

You wont sleep

The hotel is literally next to the airport so you hear the airplanes landing and taking off at all hours. The walls are very thin so any bit of noise in the halls will wake you up. My floor next to the air conditioner was wildly warped and felt like it was going to cave in. Finally there was a moment where I was returning to my room after a long day and accidently went to the wrong room. Normally this wouldn't be anything but my key card actually worked and opened up a strangers room. This was a terrifying realization.

I found that my double room was clean. While it included a full sized refrigerator, induction cooktop, microwave, kitchen sink, good kitchen cabinets and ample closet space, they room lacked table space, seating for more than one. The double beds were quite comfortable. There is a pool available. The location was convenient for grocery shopping, fast food, dining and other shopping. We were able to easily drive to the US side of Niagara Falls and also the Canadian side. This hotel does not earn a 5 star rating, but in my experience, I can gladly give them a 4 star rating.

The location and basic services were fine, but it was a really pathetic free breakfast—hot water for powdered beverages and packets of oatmeal, small, empty calorie muffins—that was it. No fruit, no yogurt, no real milk; very disappointing. Also, very noisy from nearby airplanes coming and going from the airport.

My wife and I stayed for one night. I drove in from Oswego NY to pick my wife up from the airport at 1am on Sunday and we decided we would stay the night and drive back home in the morning. I checked in at about 8 pm and stayed until her flight arrived at 1am. I called the front desk to tell them that I didn’t have a tv remote for my tv in my room. The person that answered the phone said he would look into it. I did not hear back from him again. So we were unable to watch the tv. In the morning my wife took a shower and noticed the hair dryer did not work when she went to use it. Upon checking out I let the gentleman at the checkout counter of these items and he acted like he didn’t hear me at all. I would like a call from management about this.

This place was adequate. I think that sums it up completely. Adequate. The air traffic overhead settled down about 11:00. The noisy neighborhood settled about then as well. There was a tub and I was able to have it hold water for a while by covering the drain w the plastic that the soap came in. Not very adequate just adequate.
