Soho Boutique Hotel

This is in no way a 4 star hotel. The rooms are minuscule and dirty. The towels in the bathroom are warn out and very tatty. Our shower head was broken which meant water spurting out in all directions and drenching the room. Asked for this to be fixed and was told 'no'. Very rude and unhelpful staff. We paid a lot of money for a '4 star boutique hotel' experience - boutique in Budapest obviously means tiny and 4 star is more like 2. A total let down. Rooms are probably suitable for a lone traveller for 2 nights max. Would NOT recommend this hotel.

The hotel is located in a central area, close to New-York Cafe, and a walkable distance to the shopping district. The rooms are tiny, but we moved to the suite, which was quite large and clean. The breakfast is also average, could have been better. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Recommended for the short stay.

Myself and my friend stayed here on a recent trip to Budapest. I unfortunately wouldn't stay here again. Negatives *There is a lot of attention needed to repairs. The handle of our bathroom door was broken, this meant that we could not shut the door. *Soho hotel is not what I would consider a 4 star hotel. It is a very basic hotel which is fine if that's your thing. *The hotel bar closes at 10pm. *Rooms are very small and extremely warm. * Although it states that Soho Hotel offers room service they don't. When I had rang down to order drinks to our room I was rudely told to go down stairs and bring them up myself. * Our room was facing the street and both day and night it was very loud with traffic. Positives * Soho is central with loads of bars and places to eat. * There is a store next door which is great if you want to pick up water, beer , snacks etc. Suggestion to tourist If you plan on sightseeing and want a quick way to get around you can avail of a 48hr ticket for the hop on hop off bus. This is a straight forward mode of transport and there is plenty of representatives throughout the city at each of the stops to help you along the way.

We visited this Hotel for 3 days and we really enjoyed it, the staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are a bit small but well designed and clean, breakfast was nice and had many choices to chose from. plus they had a safe in the room which made it safe to leave our official documents and money. It wasn't that far from many sites but we had a metro station 3min walk away which was awsome!

We found this room on the website Between9and5.com when searching for a place to rest after a long overnight train ride from Poland, until we we got a taxi to the airport later that evening. The hotel was a bit difficult for us to find until a kind person saw us with our map open and was able to direct us. The hotel is in walking distance to the metro and tram and bus lines. We decided to pay cash at the hotel, and were required to leave an additional deposit, which they refunded when we checked out. The room was huge and the bathroom spotless, and faced the street, but was quiet. It was accessed through a glass door into a courtyard shared by an apartment building. The only downside is that we actually got stuck out in the courtyard when trying to leave to go out to lunch, and were unable to re-enter the hotel through the glass door (card needed for re-entry). There was no answer when we repeatedly pressed the call button next to the door. I was about to go knocking on some apartment doors for someone to let us out onto the street, when fortunately my husband found another hotel door where our card worked. It was a bit frightening for a few moments, though. The price for the room was fair, we thought, and even though they were swamped with a group check-in when we wanted to leave, one of the receptionists saw us standing there and checked us out and they also called a taxi for us, which we appreciated.

Location is excellent. Ideally situated between Hero Square and the Danube it is a perfect base. Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was continental but loads of it. If using taxis get the hotel to book then for you, as we got very badly caught with a taxi from the airport to the hotel when we arrived and the driver would not let us out of the taxi until we paid over €100, (for a €20 journey) very frightening. Rooms are small, but as its a city break, you probably don't spend any time in them. They were spotlessly clean. Ideal location, would stay there again.

Not a 4 star hotel. Recently renovated, but a lot of short comings has been made apparently. People behind the reception varied from very helpful and service minded to a bit grumpy. Rooms are small. Our shower head holde was damaged upon arrival, we told the reception and it was fixed the same day, although the old one was just laying not the floor in the shower :) In a hurry guys? The location is everything about this hotel. Great location! Did not go for breakfast, we prefer eating on one of the many fine places nearby.

This is a really nice hotel, extremely clean (we stayed for 4 nights and they cleaned our room every single day-bling bling) and with lovely staff (they helped us with everything we needed). I would definitely recomand this one! The only downside is the room dimensions.. a little bit small. Ah and also.. if you don't have the breakfast included, u should not waste your money in the hotel; there are lots of amazing places to eat in Barcelona.

As a frequent business traveler I had stays in many hotels around the Europe. THIS IS NOT 4star at all. I am surprised that SOHO hotel has 8.2 rates on the booking.com. In the reality it is very far from true. First of all, pictures you see on the trip advisor or booking.com are misleading. Standard rooms are super small and narrow, dirty and damaged. Since I made complaints I was upgraded to the junior suit, which was just bigger, but nothing special! Staff is unfriendly, mold is in the bathroom, doors are not secured, in the dusty, ddirty parking spot, which is super TINY you will always find trolley with fresh towels, which you use after shower. And as a bonus they charge 100 eur per night! Enjoy your stay there :)

My partner tells me I'm a hotel snob and true I do like to do my research, but this was a last minute job booked just before the deadline of a BA sale so I had my doubts. Ultimately though we have loved our stay here, yes rooms are on the small side but it is boutique but they are clean and comfortable and pack everything in you could need. The staff are very friendly and helpful, but best of all was the location, excellent for the evenings entertainment and right near the nightlife. Any negatives ? Well the breakfast was a bit basic and very congested but it's got the essentials to set you up for the day and you won't want to spoil your appetite for the local food anyhow. In short I would not hesitate to recommend this for your stay 😀
