Stayed here for 3 nights with another couple. As already said numerous times yes rooms are small and compact. We were on the second floor with a view of a building site. Breakfast was good and they give you a choice of eggs. Tried poach eggs and a omelette both fine. Not all waiting staff speak English. Very good wine bar next door Veritas Wine bar please see separate review for this. Hotel central to Jewish quarter and hop on off tour buses. Nearest stop New York hotel. Would imagine if your room is on the front could be an issue with traffic noise. There is a bar in the hotel but never saw it open. Used the airport transfers arriving to hotel was good, however our journey to the airport was scary. The driver was on his mobile the WHOLE journey and I don't mean hands free!!! Loved Budapest so many sites and history to see. We were not there long enough to do everything.
We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel. The room was small but very clean and had everything we needed. There was a very nice breakfast buffet every morning, including fruit, meats, cheeses and hot items. The location was great- access to taxis and the metro- easy walking to many sights.
This 4 star Hotel deserve it. The staff is very helpfully and the Hotel location is excelent. Close to restaurants, bar, shopping, atractions and to the metro. Eveey body complain about the room size but it's OK for vacatiin; it includes tv; phone. Wonderfull shower stream and minibar. The surprize was that guests got a free of charge mobile phone to use during the visit. Helps to use it as a map and free data for updating soxial networks and free call abroad too. The breakfeast is very good will large choices of bread, saladas, chesse, meet, eggs and fruits. I will back
Although the room at the hotel was fine, lovely and clean and the breakfast was sufficient please be careful. I returned from a short break at this hotel to find that the details from two of my bank cards which were usually in the safe (except on the last day when they were in my purse inside my zipped bag) had been stolen. Somebody had been using these details to spend my money in Budapest. I would never normally dream of accusing the housekeepers of doing such a thing but these two cards did not leave the room at all during my stay whereas my other bank card which I took out with me at all times whilst away has not had a problem. I struggle to believe that this could purely be coincidence. I have spoken to the hotel who refuse to acknowledge that their staff would do such a thing. They say I have no evidence even though I have offered to forward on the relevant card statements as proof. I am absolutely astonished that anyone would even consider doing such a horrid thing and would urge everyone who stays there to be extremely vigilant so that the same thing does not happen to anybody else.
The hotel is good, nice staff. The location is ok,near Keleti train station and some interesting places to visit while in that part of the town. The breakfast is well served with some good varieties of fruit and also big cold meat option. The room itself is small and has not many places to keep a small cabin trolley open if necessary. The matress felt like in a need for Change, once you would feel the springs. Everything seemed to be clean enough and organized! There are better options for a 4 star hotel, this one feels a need for renovation despiste all the como design Details it has.
This is a lovely little hotel very convenient for the Jewish quarter. Our room was overlooking the Main Street but we had no trouble with traffic noise. The desk staff could not have been more helpful, ensuring we got the best deals for seeing this beautiful city. They sold us tickets and passes with no commission added, which saved us considerable time and effort. They were truly lovely-thank you! The breakfast was also very good, with plenty of choice for both hot and cold options-although don't go expecting a "full English "-you are in Hungary! Plenty of cereals, cheeses, egg options, Hungarian sausage, veg, fruit, breads, jams, toast, croissant, muffins, tea, coffee & juices-all self service buffet. The room was cozy with heating/air conditioning controls, and a hair dryer. Unfortunately there are no tea/coffee making facilities, which would have been nice, but all in all, this is a lovely little hotel, ideally situated for touring Budapest-we would definitely stay there again. Oh, and they also arranged airport transfers for us at a cost of around £25 each way-VERY welcome and absolutely hassle free. Thank you Soho Boutique Hotel !
A good place to stay in Budapest, within walking distance of the main area. Reception team were very helpful, very friendly when we arrived, suggesting a few places to eat and tickets for buses without pushing or making us feel we had to buy them. All round a good place to stay.
The location is great, walking distance to the New York Café (a must see). Great shopping centers, restaurants, as well as Metro Stations right around the corner. The room was not very big, but very clean, comfortable bed, a little fridge for our soda drinks, a very clean bath and even a magnified makeup mirror! Breakfast was ok. The staff in general was very helpful and courteous. We had a 5am flight to catch to Amsterdam and the receptionist made all the taxi arrangements to have us picked up from hotel at 3am. Very professional staff!!! Last, but not least a BIG thank you to our angel guide Miss Kinga from the front desk! Always there to help, answering all our questions with a big smile! So sorry we forgotten most of the names, but you are much appreciated as well> THANKS!
Centrally located making it great to get around the city. Easy to use transport. The hotel was clean and well managed especially by the receptionist (KITTI) who seemed to do many things other than the reception. She was very helpful with information about local shopping, restaurants and transport as well as making coffee and getting drinks. The rooms were small but adequate, quiet and comfortable beds, small refrigerator for our drinks etc. Shower with good water pressure and plenty of hot water but I would say bring your own toiletries. The breakfast was a bit lacking but taking in to account the price, fair. For a city break very good value but if staying longer maybe somewhere with a bigger room .
A centrally located hotel with very friendly staff and 5-star service. This hotel has underground parking, the cost being 20 euros per night. For parking, access is with a lift going to the basement. From the basement you have to take a lift to the body "B" and to the "zero" level, change to body "A" if you stay in the body "A". From this hotel, you can walk on foot to any destination. We felt great!
