Great idea , poor realization ! I was so excited. Hate seeing this one go to waste. - unreasonable amount for deposit at the check in - breakfast area missing heat source / always had , at least, 2-3 layers of clothes / -minibar menu doesn’t match ( price list)with the items that are in ... minibar??? - unfriendly stuff ( maids) !!! And so many little things that could’ve been better!
Stayed 8th dec till 11th 4 couples, very good hotel great location breakfast not the best. better to visit a local eatery for breakfast. The weather is freezing this time of the year so get wrapped up vast amounts of bars and restaurants. A beer will cost average £1.40 a pint. An expensive one £2.00 many sights to see and the Christmas markets are very good would recommend the hotel and would stay again 👍
We had a lovely spacious room at Soho which was clean, airy and warm. Staff were friendly, breakfast was great everyday and the location is close to tube lines, bars, restaurants and some cracking architecture. Would recommend. NB: Make sure you don’t get over charged for room service on the way out.
Hotel have a taxi transfer that they pre-booked for our arrival at the airport. Hotel reception where really helpful during check in, given us lots of information about Budapest and we booked the hop on, hop off bus in the hotel. Reception area is nice and bright. When we got up to our room it was very small and cramped. The sheets and curtains had stains and marks on and just didn't seem very clean in general, bathroom drains quite smelly during night time! The hotel is central to everything and easy to walk to all local attractions. Breakfast was standard. Salads, bread, eggs and a selection of cakes.
The hotel was a disappointing as Scots we could not eat anything at breakfast it was rotten the staff weren't nice I asked how did I get to into town and the guy on the desk told me to walk it would only take 15 min how on earth was I supposed to know what way to go in a strange country. No I won't ever go back to this hotel.
We stayed here for 4 nights this week. The room was very small but cosy. The bathroom was basic, only a shower no bath. At the end of each day a soak in the bath would have been Lovely. The location was a minutes walk from the New York cafe and quite central. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was super clean . Breakfast was very limited and not worth the price. But all in all i would stay here again.
We stayed 3 nights here in December. From the moment we walked in the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but have everything you need and there is a large selection of food for breakfast. The location is perfect, right in the centre of the Jewish Quarter and just a few minutes walk to all the main attractions. We often finished our evening at the wine bar right next door, again really friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again.
Mid range hotel with basic bathroom. Good location in Jewish quarter of Budapest, close to restaurants, bars, shops, and attractions.Metro station a 2 minute walk away from the hotel and a good wine bar next door.
Myself & my husband recently stayed there as we traveled for Christmas Markets. I got a great deal of €200.00 with breakfast for 3 nights, however I did book it back in January hence the price. The hotel is located 10 minutes walk from the "main square" therefore great location and literally 1 minute walk from the famous New York Cafe which is a must by the way (prepare for a queue) The rooms are small, therefore if you are somehow about the average size (not to offend anyone) this would not be a comfortable place for you. The rooms are small, and there is a frosted glass between the bathroom and bedroom so again this would not be suitable if you are two friends traveling. There is no iron/ironing board in the room and what's disappointing is that with 40 TV channels not one is in English. (i didnt go there to watch TV however its nice to have something on in the background while you're in the room) The breakfast is plenty and you will find something that will suit you from cold buffet, to hot items as well as sweet things and their regional food. The bar isn't REALLY a bar, it's couple of seats and the receptionist serves you and it's only open until 10pm. Pity, as it would be nice to return to hotel after a cold day outside to chill in residents bar.
Just come back from budapest we stopped at the soho boutique and it was very good value for money ,we had a brilliant time in a lovely city ,eating out is not to expensive but the Xmas markets are a rip off
