Korona Hotel Panzio3.0 out of 5.0

We stayed in Korona Panzio three days. There are two buildings. One is about 100 metres from another. The average price, average service. Breakfast every morning was one and the same. I was unsatisfied because they took an additional charge , Nobody told us about it at the beginning, they demanded tax on check out time .It is not fair.
So a quirky hotel to say the least! Arrive at reception to check in to be told your not here, we own a building about 100 metres up the road and your staying in that one. Initial thoughts were not as you'd expect. Room was basic as I'd expect! Cleaning wasn't too great with some stains on the mattress and duvets. Breakfast was served in our building and was a very run of the mill continental breakfast. Everything was as basic as you'd expect but very reasonable considering the price. I would stay here again just on that alone. However the favourite part of my visit here was the Lady who was the night receptionist. Her personal service and warmth towards me just made the custom that little bit better. When wanting to use local transport she wrote down all the bus numbers and stops where I'd need to get off. She even researched the best place to eat Langos for me. Wrote it in a piece of paper and gave me directions. That lady was very nice and willing to help you find what you was looking for! Every morning I'd see her at breakfast and she come over and say hello and to have a nice day. On the service received alone from this lady I would highly recommend people to stay here!
We booked in advance so it was very cheap. However next time I would think twice whether I want something cheap or a place where I feel good. We were accommodated in a separate building not in the main one. It was a flat house actually, and our room looked like an ordinary apartment. And it was cleaned only after our arrival. (After already having been waited for 2 hours...) what I liked is that it was very warm inside, and the location is peaceful and silent. There are some grocery stores and a big bus station not too far. The breakfast was very good: wide variety of food (pastry, Omelette, veggies, fruits, cheese, sausage etc) I would say it is an avarage place.
The hotel is divided in two separated buildings, one where you'll find the reception and the other at 50 meters away, where you will find the restaurant. We stayed in the building with the restaurant. The room was warm, spacious enough and pretty clean. The balcony is interesting, with a pretty view. The Wi-Fi signal was poor, despite my room was near the router, maybe because the hotel was full. I didn't realize how to make the TV receiver works, so I watched the few local channels. The breakfast is quite good, not very varied. The city fee is 400 HUF / night / person and you will have to pay separately.
ok . The room is small . Traffic and people passing all night. But the staff were all lovely.Reception very knowledable and helpful. Breakfast good. Plenty buses outside so easy to get around to site see. I would go there again.
I had a paid reservation in october for 30 november and Korona Panzio have not honored. They did not announced us throw any phone or email. Arrived at hotel the receptionist told me that the hotel is full and they send us to another hotel choosed by them . It was a terrible experience that we will not repeat
I stayed twice at this hotel with may family. It is a comfortable hotel, good position, near the exit from Budapest to Wien, and near the big comercial centre zone. The room was good, the breakfast was good also.Maybe they can to clean more the room.It is a correct value for the money i payed.
The hotel it self its old and from outside not welcoming much . Check in was just ok . Room was ok for overnight . Room and furniture is run down . Bathroom is old and simple . Small shampoos and soap is provided . Breakfast served in other house - few steps away , was not so delicious , restaurant look very unclean and the aquarium inside restaurant didn't saw fresh water and cleanings for ling time . For overnight was ok - price is low .
They have a very tasty restaurant with warm service. The service of the hotel is really good, kindly people they worry about the tourist, give advice etc. I rcomend to try the goulash, . They haves special recipe for this. I would like to go back to this place. I really recommend it.
For the ones who dont wanna spend too much money for the "staying" it's the best choice! O loved the warm environment, they alsp served breakfast, tasty but a bit poor. The thing that i would love the most would be heat in the room, it was a bit cold :)
