Had a fantastic time in this hotel ! up there with the best we have stayed in ! Champagne reception on arrival the staff couldn’t have done more to welcome us. Gorgeous room, great bathroom , huge bed. Hotel is situated in a perfect location just far enough to be quite but a very short walk in to the hustle and bustle of St Stephens basilica and surrounding square, about 30 minuets walk to the castle over the chain bridge and 15 mins to the parliament buildings. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!!!! Fantastic !!!!!!
Staff very friendly and provided a warm welcome on arrival. The room itself was fantastic and had everything you could ask for. Breakfast very nice, but service could be slow on occasions. Bar on the evening wasn’t a choice to stay for a few hours as the area was small and tall bar stools so not a comfortable environment
Stunning entrance & ultra modern rooms with glass bathroom. Everything is very clean & modern, & all food & drinks sensibly priced. The only criticism would be the ravioli & bisque soup. Ravioli was wonderful but the bisque was thin & lukewarm. Paella was better than average with succulent large butterfly prawns. Excellent wine list & the staff were confident & knowledgable with their recommendations for Hungarian wines both red & white. We tried both recommendations & now have added them to our “must get” list when we go home.
Stayed here for 4 nights with female friends. Lovely friendly welcome when we arrived & a complimentary glass of champagne while checking in. All staff were very helpful & friendly. Hotel is beautiful only had 2 complaints 1 is that you get coffee in the rooms but not tea & when 1 of my ladies asked for teabags she was told she would be charged other complaint is the heat in the bedrooms. It was very hot & no matter what we did we couldn't get it cooler. Would recommend this hotel, it is beautiful
the hotel is centrally located, right next to the park and the cathedral. the Christmas market and lots of restaurants are right around the corner. the rooms are beautiful and have a great view, the bathroom is spacious and very clean. the staff is very nice and helpful. highly recommended.
We stayed at the Iberostar Grand Hotel in Budapest and checked out yesterday, we only stayed for 2 nights but it was absolutely fantastic and I couldn’t pick a single aspect out to complain about. The whole experience was fabulous, we were handed a glass of champagne on arrival and shown to our rooms with a detailed map of the best places to go and see, we also paid £40 to hire out the spa for a night where we got a bottle of champagne and a fruit platter to share in the jacuzzi, which was lovely and I would defiantly recommend doing! The staff were all helpful, welcoming and friendly- especially Adam, and if we ever return to Budapest we will definitely be returning here. - oh and the location was outstanding!!! Right next to the Parliament building!
Checked out today ☹ This hotel is simply fantastic we had a great stay and would highly recommend this hotel. The room was great with a fantastic rain water shower the staff were very good and cater for your every need and had 24hr room service. The only thing I could suggest was to have real English tea in the room as only had espresso coffee machine but apart from that we couldn't fault it. If you like a spa this is the place to go it was amazing will definitely stay here again.
Wonderful hotel in a good position for getting around to see the sights All staff really friendly especially the concierge Loads of food outlets around the area Can walk to all attractions, Chain Bridge, Castle, Parliament from here
Without doubt the best overall hotel experience I've ever had. Everything was 5 star. Location - centrally located without crowded streets while containing numerous restaurants and a five minute walk to the cathedral. Rooms - spacious, well appointed decor with a very comfortable bed, large bathroom with a separate over sized tub and rain shower with great water pressure. The shower was almost as large as some hotel bathrooms. Food - breakfast was excellent but did not have any other meals at the hotel. Small bar with reasonably priced beer and specialty drinks. Service- The phrase - personable, knowledgeable, and eager to help - does not do justice to the staff. Everyone including front desk, restaurant & bar, and housekeeping were great. Finally, I must mention two people who deserve special attention. Kinga, at the front desk went out of her way to assist us. Zsombor, the concierge was incredible. I truly feel that he treated my wife and I as family members. I cannot praise him enough, he was so helpful. He also gave us excellent restaurant recommendations.
After a full day in the air we arrived in Budapest not knowing what to expect. The Iberostar staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. We were offered refreshments prior to being taken to our room (502). The first and only occasion this occurred during our five week trip. Our view over Liberty Square and its water feature was stunning, and the surrounding buildings were seen to their best in the early morning and late afternoon sun. Walking distance to the Danube and the Parliament, we spent three ecstatically happy days in a beautiful city, ending each day with a quiet drink in the beautiful square. If we were ever to return we would certainly choose the Iberostar again. Three cheers, and special thanks to Zsombor. David and Sheryl from Doncaster Victoria Australia
