Me and my wife spent 4 amazing days in this lovely hotel. We were a bit sceptic because we had a lot of bad experiences nowadays with accommodations, but this hotel truly demonstrated that we should find some hidden gems. Staff was extremely helpful and nice. Congratulations for the manager! I can highly recommend this beautiful property!
Nice, comfortable, clean hotel, central location. Walking distance to many places. Very comfortable bed. Likely foam, not spring. Nice breakfast, with standard European fare.....if the small European coffees are not enough, ask for a "hosszu cavee" (tall coffee) or Cafe Americano. Close to main metro where you can buy tickets to local buses, or the subway. Luckily, I spoke Hungarian, so it made getting around much easier, but there were English-speaking people in most tourist-type locations.
The hotel is located in the city centre, however, in a quiet neighbourhood. The Astoria metro station is near by the hotel. The hotel has a bar counter in the lobby. However, plenty of bars and pubs around Kazinczy Street just a few minutes of walking distance from the hotel if you were looking for different nightlife. The hotel staff was polite, nice, and helpful. The double bedroom we have was relatively small. The room has a minibar, a writing table, a TV, a safety box, and basic toilet amenities. The room was too dim and no table light for writing. Besides, the towel hanger was 'far' from the shower enclosures without wetting the floor after a shower. The hotel management could have a look on these matters. The hotel provided fairly good choices for breakfast. Worth to mention, the hotel provides good coffee during breakfast. In short, this is a nice hotel in good location and near to the Hungarian National Museum.
Nice hotel close to the city center. It offers big rooms (we had the 702), under the roof with a nice view of Budapest roofs. Breakfast was good with hot and cold dishes, unfortunately without fresh fruit. A good option.
Went to Hungary for a friends wedding and after the wedding we spent two days in Budapest. Our stay was excellent! Pool was nice and quiet, staff were soooo helpful! And the room was perfect! Extra plus for making the bed for our toddler!
Hotel was situated in a quiet street yet still near all attractions, had air conditioning and the room was large, airy and clean, with a safe and fridge. Breakfast was fabulous! Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Stayed here 4 nights in June 2017 on B&B and found hotel and location excellent for visiting Budapest for first time. Close to very good transport options ( we used tram system most) and and hotel in a quiet street , meaning sleep came easily !
Stayed as couple for 6 nights. Hotel has clean, modern feeling to it. Initially stayed in standard room, but due to plumbing issue (shower not draining well) we had to move rooms. Staff were great at handling this, initially getting maintenance to have a look and then volunteering a room change when they couldn't resolve it. They gave us a superior room with complementary drinks without us even suggesting this. Rooms wise the standard is fine, but go for the superior if you can for more floor space. The spa/wellbeing area is fine - not amazing but okay for 30mins relaxation though I can see the pool/jacuzzi getting crowded. We did not go for any treatments, but speaking to the masseuse he seems fine. Available robes are sparse so not guaranteed. We didn't go for breakfast - there are plenty of nice cafes nearby so wouldn't recommend it. Location is great for the more hipster parts of town like the ruin-bars. The Danube river is about a 15min walk away with the nearest tourist bus stop 7mins away. Overall happy with our stay, good for the price range and decent location. What the hotel lacks in character is made up with proficient staff.
We've just had a lovely few days staying at the Hotel museum Budapest. The staff were great fun and happy to try and teach the odd word of Hungarian. The room was spotless, the bed was very large and comfortable. Our room (710) was a good size with nice quoted air-conditioning. There is also a small bar fridge with so you can keep milk or a snack in it.( it is stocked with the usuall bits but they leave you space) There are no irons in the rooms but the housekeeping staff will for a small charge iron your clothes for you. Wifi works well.
Can't praise this place enough. Location excellent, yet on a back street, so very quiet. Staff brilliant even down to replacing a duvet with a sheet. Even with air con the room was too warm at night. Nice to have a wellness centre, but we were too busy sightseeing to use it. The gallery was a nice touch, but only featured one artist so was a bit limited. Breakfast was brilliant, no complaint whatsoever. Should we visit again we would arrange transfers and possibly excursions through the Hotel. The transfer was the only downside of our trip and was down to lack of research by yours truly. Finally bear in mind that much of the city closes on Mondays.
