Erzsebet Hotel City Center

The hotel's location was very convenient to the river and to some of the attractions on the pest side. The room itself was very basic and small. The beds were pretty basic, low and soft with only one pillow. We only stayed there one night so it was okay but for people that may have back problems may have an issue if staying more than a couple of days. The breakfast was excellent.

Clearly, everyone experiences "the world" in a different way, so our experience at the Erzsebet Hotel City Center is of course ours and ours alone. As one reads through older reviews about this hotel, there are some negative things written, which certainly supports my previous statement. Bottom line, from the time we checked in until the time we left we were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. Was it perfect? No, my wife would have liked better pillows, but that is a minor issue all things considered. In sum, we were treated very kindly by all staff we encountered, the room was comfortable and clean, and though some might consider it kind of small the fact is that is normal for Europe. The location of the hotel is excellent, just a few blocks away from the Danube, and the neighborhood around the hotel was safe and filled with restaurants and other stores, including a grocery store that we visited a few times. So, based on this experience, should we return to Budapest we will be staying at the Erzsebet Hotel City Center again, for sure. A hearty "Köszönöm" to the hotel's manager for operating such a nice hotel, and to the staff for being so kind to us.

The Hotel Erzsebet is well located within Budapest for a tourist. It is a short walk to the subway system, which provides easy access to all tourist sites, and has many restaurants close by. The hotel has comfortable rooms.

Comfortable hotel in a very good location. The staff is service-minded; the breakfast delicious. Nice neighborhood, in walking distance from the Erzsébet bridge and Gellert hill. I would most probably come back again when in Budapest next time.

Convenient quite location, 2 minutes walk to metro and close to Danube. Excellent service by smart reception staff, helpful and friendly. Breakfast a shambles! Can't cope when busy, had to wait everyday for somwthing usually bacon or eggs, food cold, had to hunt for cutlery and cups. Room basic and run down slightly no kettle or drink making facilities but spotlessly clean. Ok but skip breakfast! I didn't book to have it but was upside to me which I regret.

Very enjoyable stay, in walking distance of everything. Hotel staff very helpful, really nice hotel very quiet and peaceful. A beautiful City with lots to do and see. Plenty of space to walk , and really good transport to get you around.

We stayed three nights at Hotel Erzsebet. The breakfast buffet was lovely; the location was very convenient to walking to sights and to public transportation. Enjoyed our stay very much, and would recommend the hotel.

Friendly staff who speak very good English, clean basic accommodation with no no frills, a very good breakfast with lots of choice, fantastic central location would come again and would recommend cannot fault 👍🏻👍🏻

Rooms are really small but clean. Although the shower was rather old, it worked ok. Breakfast was nice and personal was pleasant and helpful. Location of the hotel is excellent, with lot's of nice restaurants in the neighborhood.

Excellent Location, very Clean Hotel, Friendly staff, Excellent Breakfast choices. Rooms adequate size. Great access to tube and Bus rotes, including the Hop on Hop off Tour Buses. That said could walk to any part of Budapest from this location. Near to Erzsbeth Bridge and Danube Boat collection point.
