Burg Hotel3.0 out of 5.0

On my third trip in three years to Budapest, I recently spent 12 nights at the Burg hotel for what was primarily a long dentist visit. I chose the Burg for convenience, as the dental clinic is located in the hotel and is open from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM. The Pros: Location of the hotel in the historic Castle District is perfetc. Excellent views, freee wireless internet, feee breakfast from 7 to 10 AM. With the exception of one rude night clerk, the staff was excellent and spoke fluent english.. The Cons: No, climate controlin room, no elevator, no valet or laundry service, no king bed availability, beds are way too hard and comforters way too short. The bath was tiny and the shower stall uncomfortably small and high off the ground. Very noisy bus stop in front of hotel, lots of traffic noise from 6 AM to 11 PM. I could recommend the Burg for short stays of 1 or 2 nights. Anything longer and one would be wise to spend a little extra and stay at one of two luxury hotels within a 3 minute walk from the Burg.
