After staying at the ramada plaza, a splendid 4 star hotel in sector 1, we decided to book another 4 star hotel called the Golden Tulip Times. It was a total disaster. No facilities as a swimming pool, spa or fitness. The room had a weird smell and didnt isolate noises from the outside. The bathroom was really unbelievable dirty, not to mention the breakfast with cold english breakfast and awful eggs. A hard boiled egg is impossible and you even have to ask for water! Can someone explain me how this hellhole got 4 stars????? For people who can still laugh after this experience, you can also buy a towel as a souvenir for 30 euros!
Booked in for 7 nights, room big but bed and pillows so uncomfortable, carpet covered in stains which is very off putting, they did offer to put me in another room but told me it would be very noisy because of the bar so I stayed put. My room was never vacuumed. Breakfast was very poor, on check out they told me I could have ordered off an Al a Carte menu, one waitress at breakfast who never interacted or acknowledged me. On day 4 I moved to another hotel. 4* it is definitely not...
It was my second stay there. That time I had a room with a beautiful view through the window wall, previously chosen room was small and dark. Restaurant offers good choose of meals; however, it is overcrowded in the morning
Good ratio of location, price and accommodation. Near to subway. If you like a walk then the old city is in walking distance. Spacious rooms, clean, nice bed and good sitting area. Airco works well. Shower a bit small. Staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a safe, quiet and relaxing stay.
Hotel is located close to subway station, rooms are comfortable, clean, but not very new. Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was rich and ok. Hotel is suitable for short business stay at reasonable prices.
Check in was quick and the hotel in a good location for bars and restaurants but its in the business district. The rooms are a good size but the mattresses and pillows are in desperate need of updating they are hard, worn and uncomfortable. The air conditioning is good but keeps beeping when on so keeps you awake at night. The shower was good but sadly leaks all over the bathroom floor really badly. The best thing at the hotel was breakfast. This was the best we had whilst staying in Romania. They have certainly got this right so just a little bit of money spent on the rooms and this would be a marvellous hotel.
Stayed a couple of nights on business due to location. Hotel is quite basic, but rooms clean and comfortable enough. Reception was very efficient and friendly and checked in in record time even though i arrived around midnight. Room very hot even though it was -18 outside, and couldn't seem to turn the heat down. This was the only compliant really. Internet free and wired fine, and TV had loads of channels in English to choose from. No bottled water in the room however, unless you paid for it from the mini bar. Breakfast fine although again very basic. Would stay again if for a short business stay.
The room is a good size with an area for seating Bed was comfy, shower and bathroom adequate Mini bar - but a little pricey, good news a garage is just outside Location is ideal with a few restaurant around, close to the subway, only metres away so fast access to the city, Gara du Nord and other areas. It is not in the city but if you want a taxi it is less than 10 lei to the old city Breakfast was fantastic, enough choice for all - superb Would stay again and in fact did only a few days later Good value, good friendly service, good size rooms, free wifi, quiet enough even though the room faced the main road
Very good choice best to metro and sbus and transfer lines, cloee to any place.very big rooms ,with windows you can half open to change air, everything looks new in the room exept the carpet, free coffee tea facilities,, breakfast area very nice good really good kind personel!
Not fancy, no great food, no great bar but a very efficient hotel in the center of the city, so you can enjoy the city by foot. The rooms are not big, but the beds are excellent. Special mention for the receptionist who was extremely friendly and helpful.
