I was on business trip & stayed in this hotel with Two more Colleague from Houston, observed some Pros & cons, Pros, 1. Near to old city 2. Lots of Indian, Turkish, Lebanese, Italian restaurants nearby 3. Close to many Super market & Pharmacy shops Cons, 1. Rooms are small & Bathrooms are even too small. 2. Bathroom tiles are too slippery 3. Beverages & food is too costly 4. Italian restaurant is not serving that tasty food or might not stop you going outside. 5. No English speaking Room service staff 6. Hotel Gym & Cafe too small Overall weekend stay is preferable in this place, long business stay should be avoided
Great place to stay just off the radar of the tourist areas so great for a business stay. Easy access to other locations, staff were great and the restaurant food was excellent as was the Romanian wine!
I didn't realize that breakfast was included with the stay. I was not informed when I checked into the property. I didn't know until I checked out & that was 4 days too late. Be sure to ask! The hotel was great, however!
I am Hilton Honors member. They appreciated my membership - e.g. I received complimentary high speed internet and room upgrade. It was Queen Suite. Nice view from windows. Very clean. A lot of space. Big queen bed! Typical for Hilton amenities, but better than usually coffee! Quiet. Everything was good.
I think the hotel reasonably located close to the heart of downtown. About 5 min drive. Grocery shopping is close by and parking is available at the hotel and it is free. Mattress are not within the Hilton standards in North America however better than other Hilton brand mattress in Europe. Breakfast is really excellent and worth it to have it included with your room reservation. Lunch and dinner really great and reasonable pricing. Staff very nice and would try their best to please their clients. I gave 4 out of 5 because of the mattress (just because not within North American standards). Also my HH points were not delivered to my satisfaction.
The hotel staff were very helpful, nothing too much trouble. The hotel is in a good location and fantastic views from the restaurant, wish I had known and would have asked for a room at the top. Usual high standards of room and cleanliness for Hilton. Would definitely recommend this hotel if travelling to Bucarest.
Overall stay was very good. Bed comfort quality was 5 star. Staff was friendly, especially the room service staff, and the staff working in the day time cafe downstairs. I was dissapointed in the gym because the photos shown on booking.com are not at all accurate, and in fact the gym does not hold the same equipments shown. So, this was my only reason for not giving excellent rating. Small room but efficient for solo traveler. Very good for 4 star hotel.
Nice hotel to stay at. Lovely breakfast. Close to the main town for all the sight seeing. Please use uber rather than taxis as u r bound to get ripped off. Beautiful city to have a nice holiday. I enjoyed my stay and time
Wow is this literally the WORST DoubleTree I've stayed at anywhere in the world! While the folks who work there are friendly, the rooms are absolutely cruddy and so cramped I could honestly not believe it. When I say these rooms are small, they are as small if not smaller than NYC and Hong Kong rooms on the small side. Everything about the room felt run down. It's not like the hotel is gross but this feels like a 2-star hotel being billed as part of Hilton. This is a farce, sadly. The furnishings are a bit old and the bathroom is truly awful at best. Even a medium-sized person would have a hard time showering in there with the size. And there is so much wasted room in the bathroom where the shower could be extended. The aircon would hardly work even with assistance from the staff. Carpeting is dingy. The location is not a selling case for this hotel either. This is a fine place for a 2-star hotel but for the price they are charging I cannot BELIEVE they get away with this. I am ashamed, as a Hilton Honors member, that this is part of their collection :(
I had a comfortable stay during my visit to Bucharest. This hotel is located in proxmity to many significant places around including a Mall Vitan. This allows easy access to many places in free times. Service is class and staff are courteous.
