It was great! I prepared a special celebration for my couple with full cooperation of the staff in the hotel.I recommend it 100%. Room, cleaning, decoration, restaurant, attention, check in, check out were the best.
Stayed 4 nights. Check in good. Night 2 had a meal in the ground floor bistro they ran out of red wine- no alternative offered no effort to get a bottle from the restaurant on 9th floor. Ate in the 9th floor restaurant next day . Service was good a bit pretentious for what it was. Has stunning city views they say - yes of a scene straight out of war torn Syria. Location is wrong - 15 minutes from the centre through some horrendous traffic and architecture. Night 3 mentioned the room was stifling at night , expected maintenance but a housekeeper with limited English turned up. Night 4 tried for over an hour to print boarding passes through Reception. The receptionist Alex was more focused on his cigarette breaks right outside main door. All in all Service brings back customers not the 4 stars on the door - this hotel has a very carefree service attitude in all areas which us surprising for the Hilton group.
Personal was friendly and collaborative. The rooms are clean and well equipped with all necessary to have a pleasant stay. Breakfast was delicious and rich as a variety of assortment for choice. Fitness center is well equipped with performant machines. Overall was a pleasant and relaxing stay at this hotel.
This is a very well managed hotel. Staff are consistently helpful, polite and attentive. The hotel is also good value by local standards. The hotel is in need of refurbishment though. Good choices at breakfast but this is spoiled by the fact that all the hot food is actually cold, I thought this was maybe only a problem on the 1st morning but it was the same on each of the 5 mornings I was there, probably the hot storage units need replacing. Also as a Hilton Honors Gold member I expect to have my room upgraded and this did happen here apparently but to a twin room (?) which is not an upgrade at all. The hotel did have plenty of premium rooms available during my stay but didn't want to give them away. This hotel needs to treat its premium customers a little better.
A bit too old and not refurbished hotel, theoretically close to everywhere, in fact far from everywhere. Water was cold (sth broke down); reception said sorry and nothing else..; staff in general was Ok and friendly
Good room with comfortable bed, great breakfast, as any DoubleTree by Hilton in Europe. Just got frustrated as people from the front desk did not send my postal cards to my nieces, even though I had paid a fee for it, as required by them. That was the first time I had this issue in a Hilton hotel.
As I was only staying one night in Bucharest before moving on to Sibiu the following morning, the DoubleTree was the perfect hotel for me to see the sights of Bucharest, but also get a quality night sleep. As I had taken an early flight out of Berlin and arrived in Bucharest with a need for a nap, I was pleased to find the bed very comfortable and the AC working well. The staff at the front desk were also very friendly and helpful. What I liked the best, however, was that this hotel is not too far from most of the main attractions - just one long stroll or one cheap Uber drive away. If I ever find myself back in Bucharest, I will definitely consider staying here again.
What I appreciate the most at hotels are good beds - this one definitively has good beds, which are important for a good night sleep!!! We had a room on the 7th floor and it was very quiet and no noise at all! The rooms are very spacious and the housekeeping is very good, as well is the Room-service! All in all a very good hotel for a very good price!
We stayed for one night at this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and check in was quick. We also received a cookie too! The parking is small and just outside the hotel but sufficient and we had no trouble finding a space. We stayed on the 6th floor in a double room, there was only a shower and no bath in the bathroom - this was perfect for us. The beds are comfortable, our room was very warm and even with the window open we couldn’t get the room any cooler. We had a lovely dinner in the hotel restaurant and the food was beautiful and inexpensive. We walked to the Old City which took us about 20 mins but there are closer shops which are only 5 mins walk away. If we come to Bucharest again we will stay here again! Thank you DoubleTree Hilton for a lovely stay.
Good location, kind staff, neat rooms. I will definitely choose Double Tree Hilton on Nerva Train, Bucharest, Romania on my next visit again, i kept visiting the city and tried many hotels, Definitely found good pricing and selection combination.
