I stayed there for two nights on May 2017. It is literally outside of the Brussels Midi Station. + Location + Cleanliness + Service + Restaurant of the hotel - Breakfast could be improved more - Price I would definitely recommend it. -
Outstanding hotel overall regarding the premises and the facilities offered. Very comfortable rooms with tv, free wifi, double glazing, air conditioning. On a different level you even have a room to do some gym and fitness. The staff are absolutely lovely and deliver high standards of customer service
This hotel is perfectly placed opposite the Grand Midi station (use the Ave Fonsny exit) and with the inner courtyard at the entrance it is so quiet inside the actual hotel. The check in staff were friendly & helpful. The rooms are large and comfortable & breakfast was great. Would stay here again if visiting, as it was so central for the metro & made exploring the city very easy.
Nice hotel itself, fresh, clean, good location. But at late evening wasn't nice reception. We had to wait quite long time while they will make magnetic cards and there wasn't kind attitude. Also, we asked for breakfast, they took 25EUR per person, while there was nothing special and in words he told that breakfast costs 12EUR pp. We recommend to have breakfast somewhere else.
While not in the downtown city center, the hotel is a great value for the money. It is steps from the Midi train station and only 2 stops from downtown. Trains to Brugges and other areas leave from this station also. The not to be missed Cantillion Brewery is just a few blocks walking distance from the hotel also. Our room was quiet and clean and a great value if you don't want to pay downtown hotel prices. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel due to the high cost (18 EUR pp I think) but went across to the train station and there were plenty of fast food type places to eat.
I enjoyed my stay at the Park Inn. Good location, and nice, clean rooms and facilities. However, on check out, I was surprised to be told that the total cost of my stay was outstanding, as I normally pre-pay my hotel room reservations. I duly paid up, but made sure to check my records as soon as I got home. Sure enough, they had already charged me. Interestingly, when I wrote to complain, they copied me on an internal email regarding the matter, also copying in another previous guest. The other guest emailed me to tell me that he, like me, had also been charged twice by the hotel. My conclusion is that I would make very sure to watch out for being overcharged and if, like me, you have a busy enough life without this kind of hassle, stay somewhere else.
Stayed here on a trip to multiple meetings in Brussels. Good location in terms of transport connections. Not great to have the army parked outside all day, but understandable considering recent events in Belgium. Quite seedy outside, since it is directly across the street from midi station... so, not ideal for an evening stroll! Accommodation was ok, but not good value.
It's biggest plus point is it's right opposite one of the exits from the train station. The basic twin room was standard small size. Hot drink making facilities with no milk. Single beds are very narrow and one side of it was really very soft, mattress way past it. Receptionist very helpful and friendly.
A friend and I stayed at the Park Inn on Sunday night in two separate rooms before a business meeting. The lift has a card lock which doesn't work properly. On both occasions when we went up to our rooms we had to try one key after another about ten times before we could get the thing to work. On checkout we complained and the manager was very defensive, saying he'd had it repaired only two weeks ago. I suggested that he just disable the lock function and he was most put out, saying that they needed "security" because it was so close to the station. Now I work in security and don't believe this at all. If there's an issue with vagrants trying to get in to sleep in the corridors then it's the reception staff that should deter that, and in any case teh hotel is set back from the station entrance behind a private square, which is probably fairly decent as situational crime prevention. This seems just a bad architect's decision about which the line management feels it has to be defensive. I won't be staying here again; there are plenty other hotels within five minutes' walk of the station.
Excellent hotel for those, who leave a rented car at the station or arrive by train. Connection with the airport is also very comfortable (train+bus or flibco shuttle). Located just opposite the Central station. Very nice and tasty breakfast, gluten-free meals are also provided (for those, who care). For us location was of the utmost importance. 20-minute walk from the central square of Brussels. If you want to walk to the central square, be prepared for multinational crowds. As always, the surroundings of the Central Station have a concentration of various people, sometimes not quite pleasant ones. However, it does not affect the comfort of the hotel itself. The hotel fully met our expectations!
