Very nice resort. Beautiful area, good staff, close to nice beach, and close to Calabash, which has good restaurants. My only criticism is the the activity center closed early, 6 PM on Sunday! It is nice, has outdoor and indoor pools and a fitness center, we would have liked to use it Sunday evening.

Very relaxing... And, Had wonderful and peaceful time!!

We were greeted in our room by a cockroach and had stains on our bed's sheets. The bed was not comfortable and if you as little as sneezed it would bang up against the wall.

My son wanted to have one last summer trip to the beach and we stayed at this resort. I have stayed here a few times before, but this was my first time using the pool. I loved how they had an indoor and outdoor pool AND towels to use. We had a great last "mommy and me" vacation!

It is really awesome! Wish to be back next time :)

Very nice place, but it took us a while to locate where to live!

I enjoyed my stay at this resort. The location was convenient and close to the beach. I liked the set up of the room and parking area. Looking forward to staying here again.

Wonderful the whole resort.will be coming back to stay.

ALL I CAN SAY IS WE WILL BE BACK! I loved every second spent there!!!....very relaxing and peaceful...

The place is ok, not as it is presented though. When I arrived around 5:00 I was told no rooms are ready. So, I had to wait somehwere for hours. The room that I was assigned had no frige and microwave as promised and mind you I paid $129.00, when I complained about the problem mgt did move me to a better room, guess an upgrade because I had a 9 yrs old daughter with me. They said, they were overwhelmed with guests, but too many of us were tired of staying in the lobby or in our cars for over 3 hrs. Next I would not count on this kind of treatment. However, the front desk was trying everything... it was the room service that was not ready.

The room was not the cleanest especially the bathroom where the shower curtain was full of mildew. When we asked for it to be changed it took more than 24 hours and a second call. Also there was no outdoor lighting to climb the stairs to the suite after staying three nights and 2 requests. Sunset beach was great and Myrtle beach was within driving distance which we thoroughly enjoyed. (I was looking for accommodations in Myrtle Beach at short notice).

A last minute booking as we wanted the saterday of the 4th July weekend and we wanted to go to Myrtle Beach. It is a little far to South Myrtle (about 50 minutes drive), but Sunset Beach was a great alternative. The room was clean and we had no complaints. Only slight annoyance was the vertical blinds were missing a few, so the light came in the morning. Please was clean and had everything we needed. Will go there again.

The hotel was rated as 4 star. The unit assigned does not meet this rating. The blinds were broken and were placed in a corner. Maintenance is prompt but did not fix the problem. Noisy air conditioner

We were looking for something close to the beach but a place where we could just relax. We found it at Sea Trail. I would definitely go again. We didn't visit the activity center. It would have been nicer if they had provided us with information about the resort and nearby area., We had fun and look forward to another visit soon.

It is a very large area, the golf course runs through out the land scape, and it's hard to find exactly where you check in at. Once you've checked in and get settled it's great. The room was a little smaller than i expected but it was comfortable and nice. There was no wifi, which is a disappointment. overall it's a great value.

I went to check in and had paid this totally and they still insist on a credit card? The first complaint is it says kitchenette. Well a microwave, a beer fridge, a toaster and coffee maker is not a kitchenette. First room had no living space and a puddle in front of the fridge. We called the front desk and waited 1.5 hours and got no response if they were moving us or not so we went to the office and they found another mini suite. Same kitchen setup but much better for living space. No WiFi? Are we still in the 90's. One pool for resort renters which was very close to the first room but a 1 mile drive from the second room. 2 pieces of dinnerware for 4 people and when we asked for more they do not have them. Dvd player advertised didn't work and light in main room did not work.

I have to say that the location of the resort was beautiful but the Guest Room that we stayed in was not really good. The room and the bed was too small, there wasnt any extra linens in the room, the coffee pot was falling apart and for a couple days the room was infested with ants. When the staff came to do their daily cleaning of the room they never left enough towels, etc. The price that we paid for the room was way to overpriced. My recommendation is dont get the guest room. Get the Villa rooms, I havent seen them but Im sure they are alot better.

Pro: Nice location, well kept grounds, staff was very nice and helpful, good price. Con:Basic room/bathroom. No mini fridge/microwave. Only ice machine was at the main desk a mile or so away. Ran out of linen for 2 days, reused towels 1 day, they took them the next morning and finally replaced about 6 that evening - but - it was a very busy holiday week.

We chose Sea Trail to extend our week at Ocean Isle Beach one more night. It was one of the lower priced options - and now we know why. As another reviewer mentioned, we drove quite a bit to find check-in. We stayed in a "Guest Room" about a half a mile or more from the front desk. When we opened the door to our third floor guest room (no elevator option), we were assaulted with the overwhelming smell of mold. We tried calling the front desk but kept getting a busy signal. So I drove back to the desk to let them know of the problem. They did assign us to a new room, and at least this one didn't smell of mold when you walked through the door. (Just the bathroom). The rooms are furnished by the person who owns the villa, so the tackiness of the furniture is dictated by the owner of the villa. Our second room was outfitted with white melamine and a ratty old stained comforter. The room seemed clean (minus the mold smell in the bathroom) other than that, but it was nothing "resort like". Since it was just a place to lay our heads for one night, we could deal with it, so we headed to the pool. Yes, they have an indoor pool, but don't confuse "indoor" with "air conditioned"... it was more like a sauna in the indoor pool and the water temperature was even hotter. The water in the outdoor pool was hot as well. Overall the whole stay was extremely disappointing. Would not stay there again.

Everything at the room was great, fridge was loud every once in a while. I would stay there again.
