Stayed here for 5 days April 2018 Warm welcome by reception staff a rather eccentric, quirky, but very nice gentleman. Rooms were comfortable but could be cleaner . Bath with overhead shower took several attempts to figure out how to use to fill bath without getting drenched by shower, small button on the back of the tap !. Water very hot and good pressure. Tv receives two English stations. Hospitality tray not kept stocked had to keep asking for extra coffee and milk sachets. Coffee machine tempremental not the easiest to use. Food good, selection very varied. Inadequate staffing in dining room ,two coach parties in during our stay, not enough staff on duty. hotel a long way from Central brugge .
Excellent hotel just outside Brugges. Lovely clean comfortable rooms.Staff all very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Restaurant food is good. Recommend for a short stay. Easy access to city centre by car or bicycle.
Whilst the restaurant staff are very helpful and the food is good. This hotel lets itself down badly ☹️ The rooms were not clean. Chairs very badly stained. Unable to adjust the heating in one room ended up like a sauna in the middle of the night There was a light outside the window that the curtains couldn’t shut out 4 stars. Pfft. Not sure who’s scale they used to rate it
All staff members were perfectly friendly, I've had the warmest welcome ever in a hotel. Plus they provide you with helpful and interesting information for visiting Bruges. You can buy Taxi vouchers at the hotel for your trip back from the city centre, it worked out very well. I will most probably return.
Room was nice, enough and well equipped, but heating was not working in the whole building. Bed was comfortable and cosy. For the breakfast, at 15 EUR, I didn't felt it was worth it having it at the hotel.
Outstanding hotel, the rooms were perfect and the restaurant was also great. The offered buffet was with a large choice of dishes. And most of all the staff of the hotel was very helpful and kind. Will come back in a near future
Reading some of the other reviews feels like I must have stayed in a different hotel to some guests. Modern looking building but certainly not modern interior, bedroom was dated as was the bathroom. Certainly the whole room did not feel clean. Walls are paper thin, was disturbed a few times in the night by other guests and coughing from adjacent room. Bed is very uncomfortable and creaked everytime I rolled over. Location - very far to main square, I am in my 30s, fit and a keen walker but its over 30mins at a good pace as the route is not very direct. It's also down some road which has been dug up and along busy main roads until you reach the nice old parts after 20 mins. They have a deal with a taxi firm for 10euros in to town and 10euros back. Staff were reasonably welcoming, nothing more than what you'd expect from any reception. Would never stay again and wouldn't recommend.
Was very impressed with the hotel, clean, tidy and well presented. Rooms were everything you need, decent shower, comfy big bed, the only thing that could better it is having more plug sockets in suitable places. The staff were helpful and the hotel.has a good taxi deal in to town. One of the receptionists Geerk was absolutely hilarious, he probably made me go from a 4 star to a5 star rating alone. All in all you wont be disappointed.
This was my 2nd time staying here. They upgraded me to a Suite as i had stayed before which was fantastic. Great staff, lovely atmosphere. The breakfast had a huge selection. A mix of local foods and international ones. Very good. Will book again
My husband & I recently spent 4 nights at this hotel with 2 other couples on a Shearings break. The best part of this modern hotel is the lounge & bar area with welcoming fires & comfortable seating. We found the rooms to be slightly shabby in parts, marked floors & furniture etc. They reminded us of a Premier Inn but of a poorer quality. We had breakfast & an evening meal every day during our stay. Both were on a buffet basis which was fine although the hot food was rarely hot. This was because there was a draught coming through from the hotel entrance which we also felt sitting in the dining room ! The NYE gala dinner was far superior to food on other nights & we enjoyed dancing after our meal & celebrating the New Year twice, once on Belgium time & again on UK time ! I particularly enjoyed the lovely selection of bread at breakfast time. We found the staff to be very friendly & mostly efficient although our friends asked for their in-room safe to be fixed three times which was never done. The taxi service into the centre of Bruges was very efficient & cost effective at only €10 for 6 of us. A phone call for the return trip also worked out well. My husband used the sauna but this couldn’t have been very popular as it had to be switched on & he had to return to our room whilst waiting for it to heat up. He found it to be in need of some maintenance as one shower wasn’t working. He thought it was shabby & needed to be refurbished. The gym was fine though. We enjoyed our New Year break in Bruges.
