We enjoyed our two day stay at this hotel last September. It is quite walkable from the train station but a bus stop is right in front of the hotel as well. Not much on the exterior view of this hotel to reveal its character but once inside you appreciate that it is a very beautiful facility. It is a very old building I'm sure but totally upgraded throughout. The room was spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed the breakfast along with a large tour group that we shared the hotel with on our stay. A short hop across the square brings you to the wonderful old city that is easily walked.
We were really surprised by the beautiful interiors of the Hotel which looks like a small museum. The staff working there were very friendly. No private parking. Bar opens only as from 17H. Free WiFi.
very nice hotel in the centre of Brugge, nice breakfast, booked a twin room very spacious,,,good bar in the evening, Glen the bar man was very good, great knowledge of local beers,, in fact all the staff were very helpful,,great service,,,Il be back
A nice hotel, a former monastery I think. 10mins from both the station and the central market square, although it is right on another square with plenty of restaurants. Room was comfy and well kept, breakfast was good, and there is a nice little bar for a drink in the evening. We were allowed to check in 3 hours early which was really convenient, although they also have a luggage storage room. Nice little touches include favoured water and sweets in the lobby, and interesting decor. They have a restaurant and room service, but we didn't try either.
We had booked one of the cheapest 4* hotels we could find so we weren't expecting much when we were trying to find the hotel upon our arrival. We walked into the lobby and straight away we knew it was better than we thought. It is a very beautiful building on the inside. We got the keycards to our room and again, we were very surprised with the room. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Yes there were some maintenance issues like the silicone being slightly mouldy and generally looking 'tired' in places, but this did not affect our stay at all. The water pressure in the shower was weak but I haven't been to a hotel yet where the water pressure is good! There was a building site outside but this is outside of the hotels control and we were at the back of the hotel so did not hear anything and were not disturbed at all. The hotel is perfectly located, a short walk to the main centre and a short walk to the train station from where we arrived. The staff were always very helpful and smiling. Happy for us to leave our luggage after we checked out so we could enjoy the last few hours of Bruges before heading home. If we visited Bruges again, I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it to anyone visiting.
This hotel is a real find. Excellent location in the old part of the town. Staff are amazing and the free breakfast is excellent. A smaller hotel but huge rooms. On Saturdays there is a market behind the hotel.
We booked a room for 2 nights and it was really cosy and spacious .The price was affordable. Clean rooms ,pleasant and helpful personnel. The location is good ,you can go to the historical centre on foot in a few minutes. Although a renovation would be a good idea !We recommend it!
Got here late, took an age to find as the whole front of the hotel is a massive building site. Still the receptionist Ronny was really funny, I liked him a lot. The rooms were tired like the rest of the hotel, breakfast was average at best the location should issue toes tectors and a high vis for getting in and out.
Unfortunately, we got a room with two single beds even though we opted for NH BECAUSE they were promising a double bed online. Also the shower was a little unhandy and the staff didn't seem to care much for our requests.
My partner and I, accompanied by our 2 boys, stayed in a family room here recently. The first room we were in was very clean and spacious but smelled unpleasant in the bathroom ( I assumed this was due to the roadworks taking place outside). When the staff were informed, we were moved immediately without hassle to an equally clean and spacious room. In the morning, we went to the restaurant for breakfast which was lovely and filling. The only thing that let down the experience was one waitress who was particularly rude and aggressive in her approach. The rest of the staff were attentive and polite.
