We stayed at this hotel as we were part of a bus tour for 1 night. Loved this hotel it was very clean and the decor was well suited to the era it was built in. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was well designed with a bath located in the room. The breakfast was very good also with a good selection to choose from. The fruit was very fresh and tasted like fruit which I loved. Highly recommended.
We stayed for one night and was very disappointed with this NH hotel. It looks impressive at first sight, but once you go into the lobby and rooms, it smells stuffy and really needs a good refurbishment, or change of carpets and furniture. The big disappointment was when we were checking out. We booked a double room where the price includes breakfast. The guy at the reception (be careful when you visit, his name is Dominique) insisted that we should pay extra for the breakfast for my wife, because I missed putting 2 persons at the booking form, although this doesn't matter because the price rate including breakfast does not charge for the number of people, it is a fixed rate you pay whether you actually eat the breakfast or you don't. I kept explaining to him, but he was rude and refused to listen to what I am saying at least. A good hotel staff would listen to the complaint at least. I don't know how NH management would keep hiring such person. I stayed 2 days before at an NH hotel in Amsterdam, but after this experience I would say goodbye for all NH hotels. We end up paying the extra price he asked for, and I couldn't argue more because I had a train to catch.
It was great staying at the NH Brugge, great rooms, and the personal is very kind. Also the hotel is about 10 minutes walking to the center and very near to the train terminal as well. We were very happy
Our recent stay in Bruges was extremly dissapointing regarding the accomodation in the NH Bruges Hotel. We know the hotel from recent stays and were shocked about the recent conditions. The hotel needs an urgent refurbishment in most parts. The superior room we have booked was large enough for a city trip. The beds were comfortable but the carpets and the damaged furniture as well as the bathroom need an urgent update. Dark colors give a claustrophobic feeling and can be updated. The breakfast was a dissapointment. Sitting on old rotton chairs with dirty covers, the staff in the restaurant gives you a feeling of having breakfast in a trainstation takeaway. The quality of the food is average, the variete fairly ok but artificial scrumbles eggs out of a pulver in a 4 star hotel? No No No. Do chefs in the kitchen dont know how to make scrumbled eggs out of fresh eggs, anymore? The noise the staff have made with filling up plates and cups as well as shouting through the hall is unexaptable, no need to mention their service and visible bad attitude. Nevertheless, at check out we were overcharged. Our reservation confirmation gave us a 6 Euro lesser price than they wanted to charge us. How can that be? One system for reservations and charging the guests should come out with the same price? The front office clerk couldnt do anything about it but giving us a small paket of pralines....thanks for that.... So, well, I have to admit that I will delete this hotel from my travel-list and advise to my clients, untill it has undergone a full renovation. Tell me when its time to come back....
Great holtel love this place staff look after you very well food is out of this world , the holtel position is a 5 minute walk to the main square and 10 minutes to the train station, went here for our honeymoon and had a great time
Lovely hotel punching above its weight, fantastic food and friendly staff. If you ever need a birthday celebration use this place, their chef will give you a real treat. It is right across the square from the maze of streets in the old part of town.
2nd time staying here, can't fault anything. Staff so polite and friendly, lovely room, bar great - nice atmosphere, food was plentiful at breakfast and huge choice (constantly re-stocked too). Looking forward to next stay (Xmas!!).
Stayed here for the weekend, hotel was ok with good location. but had a few problems which the NH happily addressed for us with a free breakfast on our next stay.... Woke up to what sounded like someone running the bath in the ensuite but was someone on the floor above us, reception advised it's an old building and to be expected (it was 3am) The bath water was a merry brown to start with. The hotel was ok for what was paid but could be better and probably would stay somewhere else next time.
NH Brugge hosted my husbands birthday celebration on Sat 9th September. We had 40 guests - most of whom stayed at the hotel. We stayed 7 Sep to 13 Sep and our room was lovely; the staff warm and friendly; the breakfasts and dinners outstanding. The catering for the party exceeded my expectations. Jeroen, the Sous Chef, created the most delicious chocolate mousse birthday cake. Our special thanks to Jens, Dominiek, Jeroen, Friedell and Glen who made our stay so personable and enjoyable
We stayed here as part of a P&O mini cruise booked through Superbreak. We did not have a choice of the hotel as this was the one that came with the package. The hotel was in a great location for the bus stop that the coach from the ferry drops you off at - about a 10 min walk. It was also only a 10 min walk to the main squares so seemed quite central for what we needed. On check in the hotel staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. The room we had was quite dated in the style of the décor but was very spacious. The view was of a car park but we didn't mind as only stayed for 1 night. We have stayed in NH hotels before and found them to be quite modern so was quite surprised at this one. I probably would not stay here again just because of the style of the hotel but it was in an ideal location for us for the 1 night.
