Stay here as a party of 13 for a 60th birthday. The hotel is in a great location and the reception area is fab (lemon water and jelly sweets which are always a nice welcome!). The rooms on the other hand could do with a revamp. It's all a bit dated and small features (skirting board coming away from wall, old hairdryer, scruffy shower curtain) stop it from being 4 star. That being said, we only stayed 1 night and it was good value for money so these are outweighed. Breakfast was good, large selection but the soft boiled eggs were borderline completely raw which made a few stomachs turn! Staff were pleasant.
Was ok, if you just need somewhere to rest you head it's fine, the bed was super comfortable. In room 325, there was no milk for tea tray (yes could have asked, but never anyone on reception). The bathroom light didn't turn off, the carpet was duc taped down. Carpets treadbare in main areas. Location was ideal for walking into the main area of town and short walk to the train station.
On a Grand Circle tour, we were put up at the NH Brugge hotel. It is old and charming, clean and close to everything that you want to visit. Unfortunately, the downside is a bad air conditioning system in the rooms. In the hallways and the other areas, it was great, but in the rooms, we had to,open the windows to cool down the room. Complaining did little to resolve the issue. Just be careful if you pick this venue.
The location is a very convenient location. I stayed on a Friday night to visit the Saturday market. The market is just outside the hotel. Convenient as you can put the shopping back to the hotel. The t' Zand underground car park (EUR8.40/24 hr) is just about 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel. If there is no construction work in the square, it will be just 2 minutes walk. The high street is just another minute walk from the car park. Breakfast is good. Different type of cold meat. They also have a waffle machine (not the normal one that people have at home) to make sure you do not miss any chance to have waffle in Belgium. For the room, I do agree with some other review that the room do need some update. The bathroom need to get some deep clean as some sealant around the bath do turn black. Overall, if you prefer a proper hotel (not the ibis budget type) and good location, I would say NH Brugge do tick your box.
I have stayed at the NH Brugge over a number of years, sadly it is now starting to look very tired and dated, the rooms are starting to show more wear and tear, in particular the bathrooms, on the plus side breakfast at the NH Brugge is excellent but a little pricey.
The best hotel I've stayed in, in Brugge. Very accommodating and extremely helpful staff, from check-in to check-out. Front desk staff polite, friendly and efficient. Housekeeping staff were able to provide us with extra amenities to make the stay more comfortable. The room was clean, spacious and just as described. One downside was the construction work currently taking place in the adjacent square but that's not the hotels fault and who needs a lie in when in Brugge!
Stayed for a long weekend for our wedding anniversary. Beautiful hotel short walk from city centre square. Woke up Saturday to find a lovely market outside the door. Lots of great restaurants within a stones throw. Hotel room perfect. Bed very comfy. Tea and coffee in room. Hair dryer. TV with many chanels. Would definitely stay again. Well worth the money.
Hotel borders busy Vrijdagmarkt Blvd so crossing it to go to city center took a few more minutes. Came while Concert Hall was still under construction. It was very dusty outside and made part of the walk to city center bit more dangerous . Hotel room decor was charming with marble color tiles in the bathroom. Luggage and reception staff services waere excellent. Room was not very well insulated so was a bit loud when neighbors open and close doors. Breakfast buffet was pretty good with bacon, sausage, hard boiled eggs, cereal, sliced fruit, coffee machine, juice and waffle machine.
They are currently redecorating the lobby. The hotel dinner was very good, and the staff was friendly. My daughter left her wallet in the room. Your staff located it and mailed it, and the contents back to the US. Thank you!
The hotel was in a good location being 10 minutes walk from the centre. Car park was just across the road so very handy and good value. Room was spacious and comfortable. Service from staff was good and friendly. Breakfasts appear to be a bit pricey but plenty of choice and was very nice. Would stay here again. Very nice city with plenty to do.
