This is the second time I have stayed at the Mercure due to work commitments in the Broome area. All staff from the manager to the cleaners are very polite and always happy. I enjoy the room service service offered after a long day working and to be able to sit in your cool room and enjoy a meal is great. My workers and I enjoyed the cooked breakfast which was a great start to a long day and very tasty. I have no intentions of staying anywhere but the Mercure, a special thanks to the manager (CK) who organised the accommodation for myself and the guys.

This was our seventeenth stop of our trip around Australia. We stayed here 5 nights. Rooms are clean with comfortable beds. Motel has 2 swimming pools, great restaurant. Staff are fabulous and go out of their way to accommodate guests. We left there extremely happy.

Stayed a few nights in a room on the ground floor with access to the swimming pool. Quite a large hotel spread out, 2 swimming pools, BBQ area, attached is a pub and bottle shop. Easy 2 minute walk across the park to Matsos or in the opposite direction a great little cafe bar called 18 degrees. Room was very spacious. The only negative was school holidays and a group a children playing knock and run all throu the night. Other than that was a very pleasant stay.

My husband & I recently stayed at the Mercure Broome, we were visiting to participate in the Rotary Dragon Boat Regatta and there were quite a few of us staying in varying accommodations in Broome so we were able to view a lot of other accommodations of varying prices and I must say we were very happy with our choice for value. Upon first arriving yes, it looked a little tired and dated BUT we soon realised that this added to the Broome experience - the building itself fits in very well with the real Broome it is the perfect location for access to Town Beach and Downtown easy walk to both in either direction. The staff were second to none with their friendliness and couldn't be more helpful - we were upgraded to a room overlooking the park & bay, the room was clean and the bed very comfortable which was cleaned thoroughly each day - Anything we asked the Staff were so obliging - Thank you Craig and the Team at Mercure Broome - and just as a footnote in comparison to what our friends paid in other accommodation we were the WINNERS !

Stayed at the Mercure as part of a 100-strong cycling group (TourXoZ) which rode from Perth over an eight-day period. Decided to extend my stay by one night. Big mistake. When making the phone reservation a few days earlier, I was quoted a price of $179 which included breakfast. I received the bill on check-out to learn the quoted cost included breakfast whether you take it or not. A refund of $40 ($20 per head) would be appreciated. This was minor detail compared to the following complaints from room 309 where my partner and I stayed. The following are the problems I encountered: Air conditioning failed to work - no cool air. Bathroom was old, stale, grubby and way past its use-by date. Bugs and insects were seen crawling from inside bath drainage at night. Toilet was stained with a ring around the water level. The swimming pool is fine and relaxing but the tiles are tainted while the overhead sun sails are filthy. Breakfast room lacks atmosphere. The only favourable item ot report from the breakfast room was the juice machine where the best orange, apple and carrot juice was consumed. So, not much positive news to report for a hotel chain that has a worldwide reputation. Expectations were high, but very disappointed with the outcome. With so much competition in Broome, the Mercure would best be advised to lift its game as the experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. So many other options to consider on my next visit.

Craig, Sharon and our friends in the restaurant Corey and Caitlin offered FANTASTIC service!! Even the Housekeeping Manager was so thoughtful! When she found out we were travelling with newborn twins she arranged approval to buy a baby bath and set it up in the room, we were even lent a microwave to help with feeding the little ones! Choice of two pools and lush green grass for my son to run free on as we are our buffet breakfast every morning! Fantastic!!! Craig, you should be so proud! We'll be back!

We stayed there for one night before flying out from Broome and we were all disappointed in the standard of accommodation even though we were upgraded This place needs upgrading to keep in line with the Mecure group standards I am sure there is better accommodation for the price available in Broome

The good points first: friendly and helpful reception staff; quiet ground floor room; hotel is close enough for a 20min walk into the centre of town (there are buses too); choice of two locations for dinner; comfortable bed and good aircon; Roebuck Bay across the road. But I was shocked to find the bathroom had not been properly cleaned, with urine droplets down the tiles beside the toilet. An older hotel building can be perfectly fine if it is kept spotless and well maintained, but not in this case. I expected better from a Mercure hotel and for the price. I'll be looking elsewhere for my next visit to Broome.

We stayed at the Broome Mercure before heading off on a trip through the Kimberleys. Spacious comfortable room in a tropical setting. We had a nice view overlooking the park and coastline. Friendly helpful service and welcoming attitude. We didn't dine there at all, however the bar didn't look very appealing, it seemed rather down at heel. Perhaps an upgrade might be in order. Matsos is close by just across the park and is a great choice for a drink or a meal. Overall, the Mercure is a good choice for leisure travellers, we would be happy to stay again.

I stayed at the Mercure on two seperate occasions in August. For the price paid for the room and quality you would normally associate with the Mercure name, the cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired. The first room had a sticky substance in several locations on the floor with a trail of ants. The second room looked better in terms of furnishings but the bathroom had not been cleaned since the last guests. I had to pick up the empty shampoo bottles from the shower and throw them in the bin myself. The basin and surrounds were dirty. The positives were that the staff at the front desk were friendly and there was a decent selection for breakfast. However, it's not enough to make up for the uncleaned rooms and I wouldn't stay there again if I was in Broome. Friends stayed at other accommodation with much cheaper rooms in Broome and reported that they were clean.
