Esta casa es una hermosa totalmente amueblada de 3 habitaciones, 2 1/2 baños, con capacidad para 8 a 10 personas. Está completamente amueblado y equipado con cable, TV, vajilla, utensilios de cocina, parrilla de carbón (traiga su propio carbón y líquido para encendedores), combinación de refrigerador y congelador, estufa y microondas. (Por favor traiga bolsas de basura para recoger toda la basura). Los baños están equipados con toallas, paños. Tiene dos habitaciones que bajan las escaleras con camas queen size y una arriba con 5 camas individuales. Puede sentarse en la terraza y disfrutar del atardecer y tiene una hermosa vista del agua. Si estás buscando escaparte a un lugar tranquilo y pacífico durante unos días, ¡aquí es donde quieres estar! Esta casa está ubicada en una cala protegida donde se puede pescar, kayak, paddle y esquí todo el día. Traiga sus juegos de jardín como herraduras, arandelas, etc. Como estamos en medio del Bosque Nacional, está a pasos de disfrutar de kilómetros de senderos para practicar senderismo y observar aves. Luego refrescarse en el lago.

Beautiful location BUT!!

When we arrived there was still poop in the upstairs bathroom unflushed. The internet had been cut and the owners refused to refund the fee for the internet we paid for and had no access to. The clothes washer and dryer was out of service and not mentioned when booking. Could be a great experience if the owners cared about customer service

Overall Good Stay

The house was clean and comfortable, but smelled of pets. The A/C was great and kept the house cold even when we were in/out of the front door. The porch area was great and could easily accommodate 10 guest or large get together, but we couldn’t get the ceiling fan to work.The washing machine was out of service and we weren’t told that, so it put us in a bind not being able to wash clothes/towels. There are dogs that roam around the area and one in particular that would start barking every morning around 6:30am, so no sleeping in. The dirt road to the house was very well maintained. The host were gracious enough to allow us to check in early and we appreciated that. We booked this house on short notice, so we weren’t expecting perfection and overall were happy with the property.

Amazing property!

We loved it! Our kids still talk about going back here!..the neighbors were so nice and great people..we loved that it was away from town..the only thing that was an issue at night was the cable and internet did not work..during the day it wasnt an issue but my toddler likes to watch a movie to fall asleep..but other than that it was amazing and we plan on rebooking with them!!

Nice place to stay need better direction

Need better direction to get to the cabin but it was a nice cabin the owner did help us out on the direction when we contacted the owner the cabin was clean my family had fun

Do not rent the house needs attention

I don’t know what your standards are to post rental properties on this site but I will never rent from here again , that place we rented the sinks did not have running water the bottom restroom did not have any water and could not flush . Had to use a bucket to fill toilet to be able to flush. Had to use bottle water to wash up and brush our teeth. The dishes we had to wash with water that we took to drink.

Great home away from home!

Everything was great while we stayed in this home. The home offers everything you need while there. The description is very accurate. The pictures don’t do the home justice as the home is beautiful in person! The only thing I can recommend for future renters is that if you’re going in summertime bring an outside fan for the porch. There was a heat advisory during our stay and the beautiful porch was hot! Thank you to the owners, who obviously have a lot of pride in their home! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely want to book again!

Not as expected

The family had more fun at a 200$ cabin then this lake house that didn’t even have a yard for the kids to play . There wasn’t even a spot to fish . We had to ask the neighbors for access to there personal boat ramp just so my kid could fish . What a waist of money

Research area before you go

I have rented many vrbos through the years. This house provides the bare minimum. Pros: nice home, secluded friendly neighborhood, Sam Rayburn reservoir good fishing, great for electronic free time. Cons owner cant control: house in front blocks view of lake, small rooms, 5 mile unpaved road to house, internet is low, low cellphone reception, swimming area is grassy, no fishing piers or bank fishing, 45 minute drive to clean swimming area Powell Park and boat launch. Cons owner can work on: couches smell like pets, mattress has sink in middle, pillows are flat like pancakes, towels are old, shower curtain upstairs is brown on bottom also mildew, showers are clogged with hair, pots and pans are scratched on bottom so they burn food. Overall, house is good for those who dont want to do electronics, and do not mind driving to boat launches or swimming holes. Hope this helps.

Great fun place but owners very strict paper said check out was 12pm but was told to be out by 11 parking is confusing not sure what is grass or parking felt like we couldn’t relax due to the elderly man riding around on the side by side watching us

Location

The accommodations are nice but the drive to the location is made for a truck. Don’t forget anything because the stores are a long gravel and dirt ride away. A boat launch in the subdivision would make this a prime location for fishermen.

2020 Sam Rayburn trip

Property and neighbors were all nice. We even had a mishap with losing the house key and one was provided to us real fast. Everything was perfect we all had so much fun. Can’t wait to return.

Spring break

Beautiful House

Loved the property. Very quite neighborhood. Launching the boat on the property was not possible but we we were able to pull our boat up and leave it. The view was not quite what was pictured, Thought it would be a bit more secluded. But all in all great place to get away.

Very Misleading

From the pictures it seemed like the house was the only one there in a quiet little area but it is not, it is also not as close to lake as picture shows. Kids are riding ATVs all day through there which is fine, but it was not expected. My family has never been to a lake house before so from what we knew all we needed was food and trash bags. We were not informed about needing to take our own drinking and bathing water. Even the water coming through the fridge system had stuff floating in it. We were not able to use the showers or sinks because the water was brown and had a sewage smell so overpowering that you could still smell it on your skin afterwards. We had to buy jugs of water to rinse off or bathe the kids. In the small stores around the area everyone informed us we needed to boil the water at the lake house before using because it is lake water coming through, thus the brown color water. Several of the sheets were stained so we did not use some of them and a few of the beds are so sunk in, you roll right to the middle. Unfortunately, it is a complete dead zone so we really could not inform owners of any issues. We found enough signal to request kayaks for the kids, but the rest was not important since it we were stuck and not able to get our money back either way because per their contract there are NO REFUNDS. We will not be returning.

No coffee pot ?

Nice and comfortable, but there was one role of toilet paper, a coffee maker with no coffee pot , no filters , the towels and sheets had yellow stains . (Probably from the water) but we really enjoyed the place once we got it provisionally equipped.

We enjoyed our time here!

We had a great time while staying at this property. We had a large group and we had plenty of room to stay comfortably. The father of the owner lives close and was very nice and helpful throughout the entire weekend. I would have a backup plan to launch your boat somewhere other than the property due to guidelines from what we were told. The house was very nice and accommodating! Luckily, we were prepared and brought extra things such as toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap etc or we would have had to make a run to the store. Overall we had a great time and would likely return to stay here. The owners were very nice and accommodated all of our needs.

In the Midst of Such Beauty!

We were a party of 8, ranging in age from 15 to 81, and this lovely home was comfortable for all of us. We took day trips to the woods to hike and had a lovely walk on the trails at East Texas State University in Nacogdoches. The trees may very well have been at their peak of fall colors, as they were losing leaves rapidly, leaving a carpet for us to walk on. The colors were just breathtaking - vivid yellows, reds, and oranges, amidst the dark green of the pines, and we drank it in. The lake was calm and almost mesmerizing to watch - such a serene break from city life. We found it very easy to give thanks in such a beautiful location!
