Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
This is the most wonderful hotel I have ever had the pleasure to stay in the UK. It really is exceptional, from the stunning building / decor and five star service from staff. It’s like stepping into an episode of Bridgerton and the bed & bathroom had the WOW factor.
Highly recommend.
Courteous and welcoming reception desk.
Very well appointed room with lovely period furniture.
Superb food in the restaurant, both for dinner and breakfast.
Huge room with all the usual amenities and lots of character. Attached bathroom was nearly as big with a roll top bath and walk in shower.
Excellent service in the restaurant at both dinner and breakfast. Food was very good.
Would definitely stay again
Slept away from the main house, up some very rickety metal stairs in a different building. A lot of noise from the room next door late at night. We could hear them going in and out. We could hear them in the bathroom.
No bath. No chair to sit and do hair and makeup, and tv was in front of mirror anyway.
The hotel and the grounds were full of character. The bathroom was incredible.
However, the issue was the noise. Needs some serious sound proofing. The room was above reception and was incredibly noisy. Also, the room lacked services considering the price per night. Limited drinks available, and had to ask for bathrobes.
A really comfortable stay, and a great night's sleep, that felt miles away from the hustle and bustle of Bristol, but still close enough to other amenities that you don't feel isolated. I didn't have dinner on this occasion, due to other commitments, but the menu looked very enticing. Breakfast was well presented and tasted amazing. Just what i needed whilst working away from home.
Friendly from start to end. Good food. Good atmosphere
in lovely rural setting, but just two miles from M5. We were travelling down from the north west to the West Country and back, and it was a perfect breaking point for our journey.
Room was very clean and spacious with the biggest cosiest bed. Nice variety of drinks in the room. Bathroom facilities very good. We used the hotels restaurant and the food was outstanding. Lovely cosy fireside seating to relax into. We will definitely return.
