Room service cost an arm and a leg and was incorrect, cold and honestly the driest club sandwich ever. Bathtub had someone else’s hair in it so that was gross. But the concierge and check in staff and service were amazing; friendly, helpful and kind. Organised a baby cot for me. Just the kitchen and cleaning staff need to meet at the same quality.

Room and bathroom were dusty, they needed a thorough clean. The breakfast on the Sunday was a shambles, no tables available so we were told we could go and eat in the reception area. The coffee was awful, so many diners were leaving it after one taste. On the Monday we decided to go down later, hoping that most people would have eaten, which they had so plenty of tables, however, when we got there at 9.45 we were told to hurry up as they were clearing things away at 10.00. We were told when we arrived, by reception , that breakfast was served up to 10.30. As I was serving myself at the buffet the staff were right behind me clearing everything away. The coffee was still awful. It’s a nice hotel with some great period furniture but it’s been neglected.

The staff were very friendly and always willing to help, which made the stay feel welcoming from the moment I arrived. The location is great — close to everything I needed and easy to get around. Breakfast was delicious with a good selection of fresh food to start the day right. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I’d happily return and recommend it to others.

The room was in good condition except the phone did not work the 4 days we were there we could not call reception after complaining three times one of the staff members an asian female just smiled, we found out later it was because the 3rd highest asian was staying there I think it was a poor excuse and they should have advised us that there was going to be limitations on the building due to this member of parliament visiting. Sorry but asians are very loyal to there own race but when it comes to Australians were they live they have very little respect I don’t appreciate how they handled the matter by just ignoring the situation. This did not solve my problem
