This resort is horrible and uninhabitable should be tored down. Outdated and bed was like sleeping on springs. The furniture was just old and rooms. Smell like it had been closed in for months. Spider webs everywhere.
The facility was convenient location. It was clean but definitely a very old site. A throw back to the 80s for sure. At least there was an elevator to get to the 4 the floor. It may not always be available I read though.
Our reservation called for a one bedroom and that's what we received. This was very much like an apartment with a bedroom, full kitchen, 2 TVs, etc. The only thing that was missing for our week long stay was a clothes washer and dryer. They had them, but not in the room and cost extra.
I booked a two bedroom condo through my RCI timeshare account to bring a few friends with me to Branson for a long weekend. We wanted to be close to the downtown area and Branson Landing which is why I chose Roark. I wasn't sure what to expect with such mixed reviews but ended up being very happy with my choice. Yes, there were a few stains on the carpet and it is a tad dated, but the condo was clean. We had plenty of towels, bathroom items, and kitchen items such as paper towels, dishwasher soap, etc. We enjoyed our patio/deck area every morning with our coffee and even saw several deer walking the train track. You can walk to the downtown area from the resort but with the very warm temps this past weekend we did use the free trolley several times which was a big plus. The staff at this resort is exceptionally nice and our issue with the air conditioner was handled promptly even with it being after hours. The outdoor pool was still open so we were also able to spend some time in the afternoon relaxing and cooling off. My friends have already requested that we plan another long weekend and we will definitely be booking a condo at Roark again next year. Thanks for taking such good care of us!
Very dated. Toilet in master cycled a few times throughout the night. Weird alarms going off at odd times. Space of the room is nice. Many tiles in the kitchen broken. Accordian door in guest bath didn’t stay closed.
This place needs a complete remodel. I don't mind a dated places as long as it's clean. This place had stains all over the carpet. My family wasn’t comfortable taking off their shoes in the unit. There was no shower head in the master bath, just a tub and the beds were extremely uncomfortable. We were told there was a dock we could rent for $25 per day. We weren't told that the dock is inaccessible to any boat that has a motor during low water. We had a pontoon boat we couldn't get through the channel to the hotel dock so that was useless. We won’t be staying here again unless I get an email about a complete remodel.
Loved the accommodations, was close to Landing. We were able to navigate around the city easily from this location. This was my wife's first time staying here but I had previously. Kitchen was stocked with all we needed
This is a well run resort with friendly staff that will help with anything requested. On the edge of downtown and the Landing shopping center, close enough to walk. Large pool well maintained. Grounds are clean and groomed.
We came down to Branson on a Capital Vacation invite (time share). We were jerked around a couple times with where we would be staying but ended up here at the Roark. The resort itself is very dated, but our room was spotlessly clean and spacious. Sure the decor is out of date, but all we really did in the room was get ready in the morning and go to bed at night. We were only here for 2 nights and didn't have much time to use the pool or workout facilities. Great location to Branson Landing and historic downtown Branson. Overall, we had a comfortable stay, but not sure it's somewhere we would have picked on our own.
The staff are friendly (those we talked with). The resort is in terrible shape. If the owners are paying for maintenance, they are being cheated. The carpets are very badly stained. The icemaker doesn't work. The outside area wasn't cleaned the entire time we were there. Outside the elevator was dirty from weeks of neglect.
