This is a very basic hotel room. Nothing fancy but a clean room to lay your head down. It was close to the Mammoth Caves which is why we stayed. Staff were friendly enough. The man at the front desk recommended a nice Mexican restaurant nearby.

Conditions were sub-par but everything else was good. The room was clean and the area is safe and quiet with many restaurants and gas stations nearby. Breakfast was a little lacking- they had toast, yogurt, donuts, danish, fruit, juice, coffee, oatmeal, and cereal. It was fresh though. Overall, good enough at a low price that I'd go back.

I was suprized when I checked in shortly before three P.M. to hear that you must ask for a ground level room when making your reservation. I specifically arrived early to secure our two rooms on the lower level. At least 95 % of the rooms were unoccupied at my check in time. For anyone needing a lower level room you shoud request this prior to arriving.

The hotel was what you would expect in that price range for an older hotel. Rundown, dirty, grout, dumpy lobby actually rat traps outside the building, sticky floors. But the continental breakfast was good and the TV was also very good.

The room we were given had black mold and cockroaches. We told the staff and he did give us a new room, although this one was better there still was stains on the bed and walls. The rooms seem to leak a little water from the walls. The pool was dirty and not working.
