Comfortable beds, air conditioner worked, good tv, great coffee and breakfast!

Quaint hotel with fresh baked goods at the front desk all day. Wonderful staff, we had a lovely stay.

Superb breakfast and quiet rooms. Ours had its own fireplace. The dining room and reception area also had comfortable seating, lighting, and fireplaces in operation during our January stay.

We enjoyed being just outside the city and right by Boulder Creek where we walked on a great trail every morning. The breakfasts were exceptional and the historic B&B quite interesting. It is for sale now and needs some TLC, but I would certainly recommend it as a fun place to stay.

This place is beautiful, simply gorgeous and it doesn't hurt to have hummingbirds great you in the morning along with the hospitable staff. The easy-goingness of the whole property doesn't just give you a place to rest your head for the evening but one that includes a pleasantness hard to find in this day and age. Thank you!

Traveling with my daughter, we checked in and were greeted with fresh baked pastries and coffee at the registration desk--nice start! The lodge is cozy, full of rich woods and antiques, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Delicious breakfast included. Only criticism: entrance to inn not well marked, easy to fly by in the mountain highway.

We are very happy we chose The Alps when we visited Boulder. It is only a few minutes outside of town and is so quiet and relaxing that we would not consider staying anywhere else when in Boulder. The rooms are comfortable and charming with real character. From the moment you walk in there is much to see and enjoy from the beautiful decor, the fireplaces, to the comfortable porches to sit and relax in the evening....with your homemade dessert available every night! The staff is delightful and the breakfast is yummy. We enjoyed the beautiful setting in the Boulder Canyon that made us feel we were in a more natural setting. I would highly recommend The Alps to anyone who is looking for a quiet and enjoyable place to stay in the Boulder area.

If you love an Inn with Character and History, you will love this hotel. We came to Boulder to drop off our daughter at CU, and wanted something more interesting than a chain hotel. The Alps was perfect. Located just outside of town up the beautiful canyon, it is full of charm. Arts & Crafts buffs will enjoy the antique furnishing. GREAT breakfast - all homemade. Lovely setting. Will stay there again!

We overall enjoyed our experience at the Alps Canyon Inn, though for the price paid ($!64/night for their smallest room) it wasn't really worth it. Our room was small, though adequate, and clean, but just looked faded and plain - from the virtually gray wreath on the wall above the bed to the zero color and decor in the bathroom. The outside had lots of projects in process, including broken front steps and equipment sitting around. But the location is good, the staff is friendly, the cookies and complimentary dessert offered at night great touches, and the breakfast nice. It's just overpriced for the quality of the experience.

I first stayed here 9 or so years ago. It was truly wonderful. Since then the property has gone down hill and suffers from obvious deferred maintenence and inattention to detail. The carpet in my room was very spotted and dirty and the bathroom not cleaned well. The flagstone at the front entry and steps was broken with large pieces missing, an obvious safety risk. The location is great (in the mountains but not too far from town). Breakfast was wonderful, as was the dessert served every evening. Staff were friendly and efficient. Overall, however, I left saddened by the deterioration of a formerly outstanding property.

I arrived at the hotel (just getting into the place was an interesting task) only to find that my cell phone did not work at ALL. My cell phone rarely is unable to pick up a signal but apparently 'no cell phones' work there. As I was in Boulder on business and use my cell phone all day - this was not a workable deal for me. Sooooo there I was - in Boulder - late in the day - with no place to stay. The owners refused to give me a refund and after numerous heated conversations with Orbitz I got the last night of my stay refunded. Again - there I was - no place to stay - already a night's fee in the hole - tired - frustrated..... The lady at the front desk kindly referred me to the Bradley Inn in town. There was cell service there, a friendly greeting and snacks available upon arrival! Pooooo on Orbitz for not disclosing pertinent information. It IS 2009. Most people depend on their cell phones for business. If you are in an area that has not service - make CERTAIN it is BLATANTLY obvious on your website!

This is a beautifully furnished, very comfortable inn with a lovely dining room and an excellent hot breakfast. The setting in Boulder Canyon right on Boulder Creek is spectacular and yet just 4 miles from downtown Boulder and the University of Colorado. My only complaint is that a few small things didn't work right. There were bulbs in the recessed lighting that were burned out, a shelf in the bathroom was loose and coming off the wall and my door to the adjacent patio was broken so I couldn't use it to go out to the patio but had to walk around through adjacent hallway. Also, my bed was not "pillow topped". Fix those few samll things and this place is truly stellar.
