Hyatt Regency Cambridge, Overlooking Boston

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

I book and paid in advance for a room with river view and was looking forward to the experience of overlooking Boston over Charles River. However, when I arrive the hotel, I was told no room with river view was available anymore and I was offered a room with a balcony instead. When I was asking for the refund of the difference for a room without a river view versus a non-river view, I was offered in hotel credit of $30/night. The reason I booked Hyatt Regency Cambridge at the time was for the river view. How could the hotel bump a guest who has already paid from the room with a river view. Isn't this breach of contract? If I knew I might not have got a room with river view after having paid for it, I would have considered another hotel that can guarantee the room with a river view. I felt being tricked by Hyatt Regency and do not know if they are trustworthy.

Sticky carpet, middle of nowhere, flooded bathroom with leaking shower and sink, dust everywhere! Only saving grace are the nice concierge and shuttle operators.

Good value except the $40 parking. Health club good- though have to go the parking lot area for it- and room, staff, restaurant and environment all good. Only issue is room temperature control. Generally too hot and couldn't cool enough. But room was good. East of access to highways a real plus.

We were comfortable and rooms are nice. Uber has good access for pick up and drop off.

Very Nice. Hotel staff was very helpful. Liked the shuttle, used it several times. Did not like a security deposit of $50 a day taken out. We have excellent credit and are not used to this charge.

it was great to sleep with my family. it was great to sleep with my family. it was great to sleep with my family.

I did not have an experience I stayed in a Hotel!

The staff was very friendly and our room was very confortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was excellent but the dinner meals weren't so good for the price.

The room was lovely. Clean, organized and bright. No heavy bedding -- a big plus.

Great location to watch the Head of the Charles. Not the most convenient in terms of being able to get food.

hotel desk staff were average. valets outstanding.

I liked the location, and facilities. Some staff are friendly, but not all. I didn't like that Hyatt won't give me points (as Hyatt member) because I reserved via orbitz

great stay, will definitely come back. offered shuttle to Fenway. nice staff.

Three days, no bed sheet was changed. My hair stayed on the bed for days

Very comfortable & fancy hotel! Professional & warm services! The location is good, with overview of Boston, & Charles Rover if you are on the right side! The free shuttle to Harvard Square & Kendal is convenient! A good choice of staying here!

The staff is cordial and helpfull the facility is very old, outdated and very expensive.

Comfortable hotel. Nice restaurant and lounge views. Not much of a lobby though.

They were very acomadating and friendly. They took care of all my needs

This hotel did meet my expectation it was clean, in a great location, and the staff was great.
