I was underwhelmed by this hotel. The room was tiny, there was a standard double bed, not at least a queen size. Probably 10 feet x 20 feet total space. Small bathroom with a shower that did not drain properly. Will never use this hotel again. Not recommended.

Room was clean - only issue is that there was no place to sit down besides the bed and one desk chair. Another chair would have been nice. Loved the complimentary 4 o'clock "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" snack food. Staff was very helpful.

Decent room, but cozy. Parking is limited on street, but valet is available and quick for $25/ night. I'd starry here again.

Rooms were very clean. Hotel was quiet. Complimentary tea and coffee in room.

Intimate little hotel with green out the window, a block from river, the T right there... 10' walk from lots of restaurants. For anyone who wants to experience calm at the end of a day in the city.

Great personnel, great location, attractive boutique hotel near several universities. Loved my stay.

The people who are staffing and managing this modest hotel are extraordinarily helpful. Dining is a bit of a challenge, since nothing is nearby - although the T rolls right by the front door. That is a blessing and a curse, because the rumbling of the above-ground subway line can be heard throughout the building all through the day and night. Avoid rooms at the basement level or fronting Huntington Ave.

I stayed here for a few nights while visiting HMS for work. The room was amazing--enormous, spectacularly clean, and incredibly comfortable. Public transportation is conveniently located right outside the door.

Needed a place to stay for two nights close to the Harvard Medical School. This hotel is about 1 mile away, which made walking an option (I also found a couple of nice breakfast/coffee shops along the way). It is very clean and well appointed. A nice touch: each evening I would find on the bed a couple of really good caramels from a local company. There was also a social with appetizers and desserts from local chefs one evening unfortunately, I was busy elsewhere and couldn't take advantage of it. If I have to go back to the area, this hotel would be my top choice.

This is the second time staying at this hotel and can't wait to come back. Very conveniently located to mass transport, groceries, good restaurants, places to run, you name it. Nice additional touches to make it seem like more than the typical chain, like a refrigerator/microwave, comfortable lounge with newspapers. Safe, easy for solo travel.

My wife and I went up to Boston for the night to visit a relative who lives in Jamaica Plain. We didn't want to sleep on their floor, so needed a nearby hotel. This place fit the bill perfectly. Very clean, very convenient (to JP). We checked in around 9:00 pm with no problem. Our room was right over S. Huntington, which gets some loud traffic and may be too loud for some, but we live in the city so the noise wasn't a problem for us. No bar/restaurant in the hotel or very nearby (15-20 minute walk) though there is a mini coffee shop in the lobby, as well as free drinking water and apples. I was conflicted over what to rate for Value--certainly not what you'd get for $200+ in most place (including several major cities), but for Boston it's actually pretty reasonable. I went with a 3, but I could see the argument for a 2 or a 4. All in all, perfectly acceptable hotel and I will likely stay again next time I visit this relative.

We were in for one night because we had some things to do in Boston. The hotel is lovely, and the staff are extremely helpful. We're locals, but I heard the staff give tourists the sort of useful (and accurate) information that I like to get when I'm in a new place. The value was great. We'd definitely stay there again.

We had a very pleasant stay at the envision and would re-book in the future. The staff was excellent and extremely accommodating. Even though it is not in the heart of downtown Boston the location to the T is very convenient and it was easy to get around. It was very quiet and peaceful. Great place to stay especially if you're going to see the Red Sox! Parking of the car was also easy and safe.

the staff were very helpful and kind. The beds are very comfortable. The hotel is quiet and cozy. It is a short distance to downtown and on the T line. We would stay again.

Great location for daily commute to Longwood medical hospitals if visiting for work. Hotel is clean, friendly and great value.

it was a great. we had a pleasant stay. the little kiosk is particularly convenient.

Beautiful rooms with all amenities. Very helpful staff. Would go again.

Girlfriend and I spent a weekend in Boston. This hotel was less than a block away from the T and very convenient to pay $18 a night to leave our vehicle in the hotel garage parking (with valet parking). The room was clean, had a microwave & fridge, and large tv. Staff was super friendly and helpful! We would stay at this place again!

This was a business trip, so keep that in mind. The neighborhood was, at first glance, sketchy, but I did walk around some (no car) after dark and it was fine. Location was important for my trip so that is why I picked this property. I had business at the nearby New England Baptist Hospital. Bright, clean, small, but homey, the physical property was nice. Small rooms, but big city. Staff was very, very friendly and helpful with local dining recommendations and directions. When they had trouble calling for a cab and time was getting a concern for me, a staff member went out in the street, in a light, cold rain and chased down a cab for me. The only issue at all, and not a big one, was I was given a "downstairs" room and you could occasionally hear walking overhead, but it was not a big deal. All in all, would go back for a similar purpose OR to go to a Sox game, as Fenway is about a 15 min. walk away.

The neighborhood is fine, there was plenty of street parking available nearby, and the hotel is close to pretty much everything. Clean and comfortable hotel, with a fridge and microwave in the room, to boot. Will definitely stay there again.
