Good location, clean beds and towels. The doors were loud, you could always hear someone coming and going. Overall good stay

The staff was great and provided exceptional service but the property itself left much to be desired. First, they have four floors but no elevator. Bathrooms are not in individual units but are shared on each floor. They assign beds, not just rooms, which is really annoying. Its in a very noisy area. At at all hours of the night, people are outside shouting and you can hear tires screeching and police sirens. I realize they have no control over that but it was still a problem. Overall, it was not a horrible place but I am not sure I can say I would stay here again.

affordable; close to attractions; clean for a hostel; highly recommended

For a hostel, it was extremely clean. Boston is quite expensive; this place is quite affordable when it comes to places to stay in the Greater Boston area. Great location!

I arrived very late as my flight was delayed and getting through customs was an absolute disaster at Logan Airport. My suitcase was heavy and 4 young men helped me up the steps into the hostel. There is no elevator but there is storage for suitcases on the ground floor. My room was basic but very clean with a comfortable bed. The shared bathroom was immaculate. A towel and toiletries was provided. The morning breakfast consisted of toast, cereal, yogurt, tea or coffee, muffins and juice and the mostly students, in the dining room were friendly and interesting. The young man on desk duty was very helpful, carried my suitcase to my room and called a cab the following morning. This would not work for anyone who had a problem with stairs but I found it affordable and comfortable and would stay there again.

Never agreed to stay at a Hostel. It wasn't nice, and they said that I had to share a room with men and women

We had a basement room that was very clean but so noisy it was impossible to sleep. Everytime someone flushed a toilet the pipes in our room made a HUGE noise. It was also cold having our bed against the window.

Zero thrills. But it's a cheap place to sleep and it's clean

Dont think to stay there, please.Dont waste your money to stay there. My friend and I felt like convict.Everything was bad.You can feel staying in prison if you decide to stay there.

"You get what you pay for" comes to mind. The location is simply amazing as its close to so many things (the Westin and the Back bay Hilton are right around the corner). You cannot beat the price. If you never experienced college-style dorm living perhaps it's worth it so you know you didn't miss out... But that's where the positive ends. They do not check anyone in before 3pm. You have to wait in their miserable hot lobby for the time to roll around. When I got to my room the bed (on the top bunk which has no guard rails and is very narrow and no easy way for older people to climb it so def ask for bottom bunk if you're older!!!) was unmade. I felt filthy so I went to the bathroom to see if there were at least showers. There were but the bathroom was similar to one at the beach in the sense you'll get clean just to get filthy again. I did later find a shower on a different floor that not many used so stayed decently clean. The roommates have no decorum. One night they burst into the room loudly at 2 am - one even came In at 4am. They turn on the lights sometimes. Turn off the AC even when it's so hot on the top bunk. Have no understanding that you need to sneak around not explode into the room in the middle of the night. The "continental breakfast" was a joke. When I went to get a drink from the vending machine it charged my cc even though nothing came out. They sprayed raid all over the water dispenser because there was a fruit fly infestation. And The AC broke..

I chose this hostel because I needed a reasonably priced place to stay near Hynes Convention Centerr for 5 nights. While very basic, it was inexpensive and in a great location near Hynes, restaurants, and the transit. It was loud at times (due to other guests and also traffic outside the hostel). I recommend ear plugs.
