Charming farm home

Wonderful experience. Our host and owner Pal ( pronounced Paul) was delightful. The farm home built in 1624 was amazing. The halibut dinner Pal prepared was one of the best meals of our trip.

We received such a warm welcome and exquisite hospitality from the owner, who shared so much knowledge of Norwegian life with us. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. This stay has been a highlight of our trip to Norway.

Rustic Retreat Style in vintage farmhouse

Late 1800s style decor, shared restrooms, and rustic setting and approach to facilities. The owner is very helpful and the staff is very polite. Other lodgers very friendly and it adds to the experience. Communal dinners are served but we were sightseeing so didn’t partake.

Warm welcome

We have never had such a warm and friendly welcome. Don't be put off by the dirt track leading to the house, perfectly manageable on a motorbike. We were greeted with a smile and a cup of tea which was very welcome. There is the opportunity to have a meal and it was one of the best meals of the holiday. Beautiful house in a beautiful area hosted by wonderful people. If we are ever lucky enough to return to the area we will definitely return.

Absolut fremragende ophold.

Det var helt igennem en fantastisk og hjertevarm oplevelse at besøge den historiske Skagen Gaard. Stedet er en tidslomme. Værten var jordens mest gæstfrie og service mindede herlige person man kan møde. Han er både en fantastisk kok og tjener tillige med. Ja vi elskede vort ophold, værten og stedet. Väldigt trevligt ställe med underbara ägare. De fick mig att känna mig som hemma och tipsade om vandringar och annat att göra i närområdet vilket var mycket uppskattat. Själva rummet var charmigt inrett och alla rum verkar vara unika vilket är roligt. I och runt huset finns även flera djur vilket var mysigt och hjälpte känslan av lantlighet. Huset i sig ligger även nära till en mysig strand för den som vill ta sig ett kallt dopp. I det stora hela ett toppen ställe som jag vill återvända till för fler Norge resor!

Gammaldags charm- prisvärt!

Ett mycket charmigt pensionat på landet. Vi serverades nyfångad hälleflundra när vi kom rätt sent på kvällen- vilken service! Trevlig värd som gav tips och hjälpte oss jämföra Norge och Sverige.🙂 Läget på landet är lugnt och nära vattnet med fint sejfiske.
