This property was lovely and very pet friendly. A little welcome card and treats were even left for Luna on our arrival. :) Everything was clean. There is a beautiful view of the lake and it felt very private amongst all of the trees. The sauna was so nice. We had a wonderful mother/daughters weekend. We would recommend this nice HideAway.

Beautiful private getaway

A beautiful hidden cottage with a stunning view of Lake Huron. The sound of the waves is so calming. The layout and decor of the cottage interior is so nice. The wood fired sauna is very unique with a beautiful view of the forest. Perfect for a fall getaway.

We had a beautiful view in a gorgeous cottage-thank you.

The cottage is stunning & the view was gorgeous. It was easy to locate the cottage & we were close to Grand Bend & Bayfield. Would love to return here again sometime. The Cottage Stays staff were wonderful to deal with. Highly recommend Cottage Stays & this property.

quiet retreat

This was an amazing quiet getaway. Property was actually more beautiful than advertised. Breathtaking views, very comfortable accommodation with everything you might need.

Perfect Getaway!

We loved our little stay at “The Hideaway”. The cottage was private, clean, nicely decorated and had all the amenities of home. The view from the upper level was phenomenal. We can’t wait to book again, hopefully in the summer months.

Wonderful Fall Getaway

Everything was clean and ready to use when we got there and they even left treats for my dogs which was such a personal touch. We had a great time walking the beach, watching the sunset, sitting by the fire pit and the fireplace on the cooler days. Thank you for the beautiful cottage to stay in to make memories with my family!

Paradise, as always!

We have been coming to Hideaway for 5 years, now. Every year, we so look forward to our lovely holiday at Hideaway. It is truly a special place and gives us so much joy and peace. The cottage is upscale and has everything you can ask for! Jennifer and team surprise us each year with more upgrades :)- to the cottage. They pay so much attention to every detail and make us feel so welcomed! Love our time here and can’t wait to return next year!

A Peaceful Escape in Beautiful Bayfield

We had the most amazing week at the Hideaway! From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect retreat. The Hideaway was peaceful and cozy. It felt like a tree house (in a good way!) with a view that can't be beat. After renting for many years in the Bayfield area we know that this is a true gem. We loved the location; private and serene, yet just minutes from Bayfield. The sauna was a perfect addition for some cooler days. Cottage Stays were also great hosts; very responsive and kind. We are definitely planning on returning!

Beautiful cottage overlooking Lake Huron.

We have just returned from a terrific getaway at Jennifers cottage. Jennifer was great and easy to communicate with from the time of booking to checking out. This beautiful cottage was very clean and had everything that we would’ve needed. The views were spectacular overlooking Lake Huron. The property was very private and very quiet. We look forward to visiting again.

A lovely relaxing vacation hideaway.

From the very helpful app we received before our arrival to the welcoming music and Christmas tree upon our arrival, we knew we would enjoy our stay. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable with a beautiful Lake Huron sunset view. The property is also nicely landscaped and provides access to a great beach. Jennifer is a thoughtful and very helpful host and was always quickly available to answer any questions we had. We definitely are planning on a return visit!

Perfect Week!

The Hideaway was absolutely perfect!! Check in was smooth and the cottage was ready and welcoming, with lights on, music playing and a lovely welcome package. We spent the days on the secluded beach, hanging on the lake mat, kayaks and paddle boards. At night we watched the sunsets and sat by the fire. We hit some great little spots nearby for dinner, shopping and exploring as well. Every detail has been thought of for guests, and the cottage is stocked with everything you could need. The sauna is also a lovely addition, as is the outdoor shower. The pictures truly do not do it justice. We will be back!!

Paradise, again!

This is the 2nd time I returned to Hideaway with my friends. It's my favourite cottage and I cant wait to go back there! Jennifer and team have done an awesome job renovating and transforming the cottage this year, which made our experience even more rewarding! Everything is perfect at this cottage - the kitchen, the comfy couch, the bedrooms, the furniture on the balcony, patio and deck, the firepit, and I love the spacious washrooms. Will return again next year!

Superb cottage overlooking Lake Huron

I can only echo the many positive accolades from other reviews! This is a stunning cottage, full of thoughtful touches, stylish without being pretentious, comfortable, quiet, private and family friendly. All modern conveniences, well stocked and ready to enjoy your time at the lake. Lovely beach, sandy bottom to the lake, private. Fire pit, raised balcony off living area, two baths, outdoor hot shower, comfortable outdoor chairs , nicely landscaped, shady all around property, quiet lane to walk on. Wifi, tv, games, this place has it all!

I love the layout of this cottage. With 1 bedroom upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs there is enough separation for privacy. The beds are super comfortable which has not always been the case in our past rentals. You can see that the place was well thought out, with the very comfortable seating area outside of the lower level where you can bbq and relax, then there’s also the firepit area closer to the beach access. I have been dealing with Jennifer for a few years and she is extremely professional and eager to make your stay a wonderful experience! Great property, great customer service, all in all a super stay at hideaway!

Wonderful, relaxing cottage!

Hideaway is the perfect destination to disconnect from the outside world. Being surrounded by a forest of trees brings a stillness to the air that we had never experienced before. The cottage is beautiful inside and out! The smell of the cedar sauna greets you as you walk down the path towards the front door. The beach is quiet and private. Once on the main level, you feel like you are nestled in the trees with panoramic views of the lake beyond. Bayfield and Grand Bend are just a few minutes up the road. However, it is truly difficult to leave the tranquillity of this location. Our family hopes to be back again next year.

Cottage of Serenity

Jennifer, what an awesome relaxing cottage you have. We stayed here for 8 days and could not have asked for a better place to stay. The minute we walked in we felt the serenity. The owner Jennifer is absolutely amazing - she is quick to responded and pleasant to deal with. This cottage is located right on the water, with beach access directly from the property. The cottage is nestled back off the road creating a ton of privacy. You have everything you need in this cottage to enjoy your stay. There are many walking / hiking trails in the area that you can enjoy as well as a few good breweries and you also have the option of having bonfires nightly. If you're looking for some quite relaxing times, this is the place for you. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning. Jennifer, thanks so much for sharing your cottage with us. Simply Amazing!

We just finished spending a week at The Hideaway, and we cannot wait to return! The pictures of this place do not do it justice! The new reno's inside and out, make this private little hideaway a luxury retreat! The cottage has everything you need and then some! From kitchen items, inside and outside games, you name it they will have it. The location is perfect! It is a private little section of the woods yet a quick drive to anything you need. Beaches, restaurants, parks, groceries etc. If you have the windows open you will love napping or falling asleep to the sound of the waves in any of the rooms and bedrooms The views of the lake and sunsets will blow your mind from the top of the hill you are on. Check-in and check-out were a breeze! Jennifer is super quick to respond to any questions and concerns and will make sure you have everything you need. Don't hesitate and book the Hideaway now!

Summertime Paradise 😎

Yet another wonderful stay at the beautiful Hideaway cottage! Every year, I can’t wait to return to this heavenly home for my week of tranquility and rejuvenation. Everything is so perfect at Hideaway….. the therapeutic sound of waves, the chirping of birds, the rustling of leaves, the beautiful and cozy outdoor choice of furniture either upstairs on the balcony or downstairs by the patio or beach area to rest, relax, read, have conversations. Inside it is so tastefully decorated. The beds, living room sofa, dining seating are all so comfortable and of premium quality. The BBQ facility on the deck is top notch. The stairs to the beach are excellent and so easy to manage. Loved the water mattress! The cottage is so well stocked with amenities as well. We don’t miss anything. I love it here. This cottage truly makes wonderful memories happen! Thank you Jennifer for what you do for us to give us such an awesome experience each year!

Perfect weekend getaway

My husband and I stayed here for two nights with our two dogs as a small baby moon and it was everything we were looking for. Very relaxing vibes, very clean and great location. Would definitely come back

Very cozy cottage

A great winter destination. The cottage had everything we needed for a delightful stay. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with high quality dishes and cookware. The gas fireplace was delightful. I would highly recommend this rental.

Picture perfect getaway

Stunning views make you feel like you are in a painting. Warm and welcoming cozy cottage experience with very friendly hosts. The hosts were really great in making sure that our stay was a memorable one. Will definitely like to visit again soon
