For a budget hotel for one night our stay was fine. Our room was clean, lights work, AC works, wifi works. I would not recommend for an extended stay or for families. The workout room equipment and hot tub are broken. The lobby is clean and shiny, but other public areas are not. Not many guests were here, probably due to all the bad reviews.
This's a dump, tv blurry old model 20 inch, this room must be 20 years since a remodel. Cigarette stains in bathroom, hole in carpet!!!! Wyndham travel said 4 out of 5 stars .people say it's clean. It's a dump worst place I have seen, front door's open seems unsafe. At least the tv could have a picture. #223 dump , lock broke on door. Book Graduation for I.S.U. 6 months out. Avoid -10
We were walk-ins on a Friday night. They accepted a discount coupon from a travel guide, so we got our room very reasonably. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. They even offered free Wi-Fi at the dirt-cheap cost of the night. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. When my mother went to the room while we were bringing in the luggage, the young man from the front desk walked her down to the room, made sure the key worked and when the door opened, he turned the light on for her so she would not have to enter a dark room. She was very impressed. The breakfast was a little blah, but everything else was great.
We booked this Hotel because it was the only one available for ISU Family Weekend. I read the review and some were bad. However it did have some good ones and it was mentioned that the Hotel was having some remodeling done. When we pulled up the outside didn’t look inviting and the lobby looked nothing like the pictures you see online. We went to the room and had to push the door to it open. Once inside we noticed a dead bug at the foot of the bed. The room was supposed to be suite and again looks nothing like the pictures on the internet. The few lamps were broken saying on the table and some didn’t have bulbs. When we opened the fold out bed and there were some many crumbs it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. My daughter was so grossed out and scared that she wanted to stay with her sister in the dorm. When my wife and got back to the room later that night we couldn’t look the door using the “security Lock” because it was put on wrong. We asked for a different room and got something a room were again lamps were broken, the TV didn’t work and it smelled like smoke and it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. We were supposed to stay two nights but were lucky to find a room on the other side of town and checked out in the morning. I would give this Hotel a -10 rating but 1 is the lowest you can go. Anyone who says this is nice place has GOT TO OUT OF THEIR MIND! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!!
I have never previously been to a hotel/motel that skipped maid service for 4 straight days. We had to beg for towels and sheets at the front desk. I was also somewhat taken aback by my fellow human beings staying at the Econo Lodge. I was sitting in the breakfast area when they put out a tray of pastries. A fellow resident immediately took the entire try back to their room. Other people took the shared juice bottles and creamers to their own tables for exclusive use of their families while at their breakfast. There were several other incidents involving our fellow "guests" that made me think I was staying at a zoo.
We were on our way back to Wisconsin and stayed for one night. Our room was extremely clean, bed was very comfortable and pillows were great. The only downfall was that the phone didn't work in our room. Breakfast was ok and the Heated pool and hot tub very relaxing and clean. Our room was $48.00 for two queen size beds. The front desk person "James" was awesome. He is very pleasant and knowledgeable, put us on the bottom floor so we could watch our camper. He answered any questions I had without hesitation. The type of person that you feel like you have known for years, a real people person. His Manager should be really happy he has a person like that at the front desk. Fantastic job James, Thank you for the great stay and we will stop again without hesitation if going through there.
This hotel was one of the worst we have stayed in. Very dirty. Food stuck on TV stand, Hole in wall around shower nozzle. Back door on hotel doesn't shut. We changed rooms. Terrible stay. I would not recommend this At all
I was just there on march 11,2016. Unfortunately, there were a lot of kids in town for the special Olympics that weekend. The hotel is extremely nasty. they tried to change us to 6 different rooms as we had booked two rooms per our two night stay. first room no. 214 had bloody sheet on one bed some kind of still wet yellow stains on the second bed. immediately got my kids out that room! next rooms 215,217 dirty floors night stands no fridge or microwaves the manager went who knows where to find some! they look like they were bug infected. the beds once again were covered in what looked like blood and who know what kind of stains! we go back to the manger who gets on the phone with the owner who then accuses us of putting the stains on the sheets and "being too picky" he suggests that to make up for the trouble he would "upgrade" us to suites rooms 237 and 239. after traveling down hallways that take you outside we reached the "suites" and they are worst than the other rooms! there was feces and definitely blood on the sheets the kitchenette obviously had bugs. the furniture was old and dirty to the point where you would be scared to sit down! needless to say I got everyone with us out of there right away as I am waiting to be refunded my money, they call the owner back who by the way was in Chicago! and he again gets really nasty and obnoxious! why isn't the health department going to this hotel? I pray that none of those kids who had to stay there comes down sick. I would never recommend that place to anyone. By the way I took pictures because I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Was a quick easy check in room was clean and comfortable. Will stay there again when traveling through . Spoke with the manager says that are working to improving more .the breakfast was good for a motel breakfast
Overnight stop between Florida & Wisconsin. Were skeptical about EconoLodge but pleasantly surprised. Walked into 2 story foyer with huge crystal chandelier and polished floor tile, lots of comfortable furniture. Clean, quiet, comfortable, friendly staff, waffles for breakfast (my favorite) delicious coffee & fresh fruit. We have not seen a price like this in years; $48 including tax for 2 queen beds. Plus Cracker Barrel is across the street for a wonderful supper. After a long day driving it was great. They were in remodeling process but did not affect us. Were glad they are making improvements for future guests. We would go back.
