We arrived early and the check in lady rang the cleaners to double check. She was thoughtful, friendly and went above what I’ve had from other hotels. Asked about the kids etc. I wasn’t expecting that having paid £17 for a room for 5 people (quadruple). 10 mins later checked in. Room was 220 a double a bunk bed and a sofa bed. We did not need 5 as it happened which is good as the sofa bed could not be used. Obviously we didn’t complain because it was redundant. Bunk beds and double comfy clean and safe. 2 tvs in room and nice bathroom. The hot water room about 8 mins to run through but that’s because we were one of 4 rooms booked that night so I’m not surprised. I’m not taking any stars off for the sofa bed and water as it didn’t affect us and it was far outweighed by the staff and cost. We came home after tea and it was just us in the function room with 5 adults and 4 kids. The lady put a film on the big screen for the kids! That’s above and beyond, she could have just been ignorant and served our drinks but she was personable and kind. The kids had fun, the adults could chat and the atmosphere was chilled. Obviously this isn’t what it will be for everyone but I’m not reviewing anyone else’s stay! Rooms could do with a bit of updating but you get what you pay for. You need to drive into the centre so bear that in mind. The drinks weren’t the best but maybe because it was quiet the lines hadn’t been run through. Staff make the place. Lifts and corridor decor in need of tlc.

I booked a triple room with a sea view what arrived? We checked in and went up to our room. The lift is very small and could only fit one person and a piece of luggage if you wanted to be comfortable and not feeling claustrophobic when arriving to the door to our room, we opened it and was welcomed to somebody else in our room when going downstairs to mention this to reception at first they didn’t believe us so I’ve got my friend to send me pictures we were stood around for about half an hour for them to try and find a alternative as the hotel was fully booked it was 8 o’clock at night and we have been travelling all day so we’re very tired and we just wanted a room. They finally found a room and it was their Airbnb by the time we just accepted it that was too tired. We had to walk through the entertainment department to get to the room when arriving into the room it needed cleaning from the previous guests, which means we had to hang around even longer we asked where the closest shop was as we needed something to eat and drink a member of the staff told her where it was and we did not feel safe walking to the shop as being three young girls we received no compensation from the hotel from the hotel for the misunderstanding the following day we had a knock at the door from the hotel management. Ask us to swap rooms to go back to our original room which we refuse to do.

Evening meal information wasn't give an when we went back at 17.00 we was told its now so if we hadnt got back would have missed it. When we got our meal wasn't very hot starter soup tepid and main meal only a little bit warmer. In room 214 window in bathroom didn't close properly and the wind was whistling an howling all night.

Prices in bar were a joke, food in restaurant in evening was mediocre, sausages were burned looked like they had been left from breakfast, room was poor pull out bed had sunk so couldn’t be used as a sofa. We have stayed here before with Blackpool promotions but it is another company that own the hotel now and would not book again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, good to have parking on site (booked in advance - fee payable, but that's the same everywhere) and a 24 hr bar. Very slight delay in checking in, but still given a free drink which was very much appreciated. Room had a sea view, and there was a really nice breakfast.

Nothing royal about this

Once we checked in and recieved our room keys we headed to the lift and upon existing the lift to the first floor we were greated by this vile smell of rotten eggs. We were a group booking with 6 rooms total and most of which were unfortunately down the same corridor (smelly alley) one room 120 a premier room, the smell was unbearable. We spoke to reception and went straight out on an adventure. We came back post midnight and again was hit with the smell. We had to keep the window open all night to ease the smell away. Upon check out we spoke to reception who advised she’s limited what she could do as she went in the room previously once we checked in to spray air freshener… this isn’t a air problem this is a drainage problem and it’s the whole corridor. I would urge you to shut this room off until it’s fixed. The room upon fist impressions (minus the smell) was nice, bit dusty and loads of cobwebs. I would say this is majority of the rooms. 117 window was covered with cobwebs. And the sliding door to bathroom didn’t work either. Breakfast was nice, small but nice! Could do with a good clean in there but still enjoyed the breakfast. Parking is limited and not specific on the instructions you need to reserve prior to journey. But we did manage to park on street for free

Lovely place to stay

Such a lovely hotel very clean and modern, rooms were lovely too, we had 3 rooms all very new and fresh two with sea view which was great. Bathrooms lovely too all modern with showers. Staff were lovely and friendly the entertainment was great so we’re the entertainment staff. Music and bingo was great, drinks were flowing nicely. Only downfall was the lifts are tiny we had a wheelchair had to take the peddles of to get it in it just about fitted. We will definitely be staying there again
