Was charged £3 more than the booking price. The new owners are trying to improve the hotel but no kettle in the room is a pain, especially as you had to go get it from downstairs. My other critisism was the mattress on the bed was terrible, everytime you rolled over it woke you with the noise. Not really nice when you can hear the springs next door creaking while they where having sex.

Staff attentive. Room so basic it didn't even have bedside lamps, toilet tissue in a container on the wall behind the toilet so whilst sitting i could only get one square oblved my shoulder at a time

Great staff!!

Kings Cross Hotel has a great team, nothing too much trouble at all. Location is central, which is great. Our premium room was okay, a few things could have made the world of difference, such as bathroom extractor fan working, bath mat and hand towel, and a second mirror, as the only one in the bathroom took ages to clear after a shower due to no fan. A downstairs coffee machine replaced the in room tea and coffee, but as a tea drinker, the tea wasnt good. Other than that, had a good stay, but it had the potential to be great one!!

On entry very welcoming, short wait at arrival time as the room was still being cleaned which was fair enough so bought a drink while waiting, then was told there were no tea/coffee facilities due to health and safety issues but could purchase from a coffee machine downstairs (this wasn't ideal for someone who drinks alot of coffee) £1.85 per cup is excessive when it’s complimentary with most hotels/b&bs, We stayed in a budget double room, it was spacious and tidy but there were what looked like blood stains on the blinds, we pulled the duvet back and there were a few small bits and 1 or 2 short hairs on the bedsheet and pillow, we couldn't get in the room at first as it had just been cleaned, other than that was a good stay.

Normally stay at King’s Cross as it’s one of the better hotels on Charnley road but not until some changes are made. Rooms are extremely small, can barely get around and beds are even smaller, definitely not a double. Bed frame and mattress seemed cheap, bed spring and metal racking noises were constant (and not in the good way lol) Room decor was lovely and staff very friendly, just a shame about the rooms itself.

Great stay

Really warm welcome and explained about the hotel and shown around very friendly and lovely people. Rooms were nice and spacious and clean. However the double bed was small and uncomfortable but didn’t put us off, will be visiting again soon. Xxx
