Shocking - we want our money back

We got there and the place didn’t actually exist. The owner of the new hotel explained that this was a scam, and that it had happened to over 20 other people that same day. We had nowhere to stay and had to go home and travel another 4 hours which was not ideal at all. We would like our money back.

A very last minute booking. On arrival the outside and reception area looked very clean and welcoming, once upstairs in the corridors and room, the smell was very unpleasant. We had booked a budget room but would have expected much more than was given. No hot water so unable to have a shower, decor very poor with patch up jobs painted over, cracks in the wall, rusty bathroom fittings alongside a leaky toilet with a dirty waste pipe. Broken window locks, broken and stained furniture. Definitely not worth the £51.00 we paid for this room. Would not return and would not recommend.

Didnt like that there was no one there to greet us at reception and we had to ring but not no answer was stood there for 5/10 minutes before anyone came to reception to check us in but other than that it was a good hotel only 10 minute walk into the town center
