Our 3 complaints were the heater was broken. We had to ask for a heater which they provided. The TV did not work nor was there a remote. We were in room 4 which we could hear every guest coming and going. The noise was constant. We could hear them at the front desk. Other than that it served its purpose for being close to the event that we attended. The front desk staff was personable.

Firstly the positives. Staff were absolutely lovely - friendly, helpful and polite. The hotel is in a great location, and is very pretty, not just your bog standard boring hotel. Unfortunately, our ground floor room was like a fridge. The radiator got no warmer than just above body temperature, and the small shower room was seriously draughty and even colder than the room. The water from the shower was just over a trickle and nowhere near warm enough. Stepping out into the room was a horrible experience! The breakfast was very over priced - £15 for 2 of the nastiest sausages (the type that are £5 for a hundred), awful dried shrivelled mushrooms, rock hard bacon and cheap beans with instant coffee. The toast was ok though. For £15 I expected far better.

Just an overnight stay as we were going to the NEC,very convenient location.very helpful with ordering takeaway .Room very small but on ground floor which was ideal for my husband.Bed quite comfortable but pillows were so hard and not comfortable.

Do not pay for breakfast at all as it is really not worth £3. No sockets in the room that are accessible Ensuite is tiny. No hot water for a shower. No teaspoons or saucers at breakfast. I put a plate out to put teabags and sachets on. No sauces available and the continntal breakfast was very very limited. Cooked breakfast was awful. Bacon was that crispy that you couldn't cut it. Eggs weren't good. Staff were nice enough when you could find one. I will not be back

The hotel is small , set in a convent location , the welcome and service was exemplary, parking charge could have been clearer , but not a problem, £6 for night was ok , my room was basic but enough for what I wanted

Located very close to bus stops, actually makes it a hotel with a very small amount of walking to the NEC. Staff was friendly and respectful. Card machine issue but he resolved it very quickly ay check-in.

Room very small and basic Bathroom ensuite tiny and had the smallest shower cubicle i have ever seen you couldnt stand without touching the wall on both sides and if you drop anything you have to get out to be able to bend over to pick it up. Breakfast was very small portions and very dry

The little things

The staff are friendly and welcoming, the bed was comfy, the room had tea coffee available. Breakfast was good as there was a nice selection of food and drinks. The only downside is the walls are not soundproof. So any noisy guests talking or banging doors would be an inconvenience. The shower took a bit of tuning to get the temperature right. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.
