Not the apartment I stayed in

I booked this apartment for a short stay in Birmingham as a solo traveler. On the morning of check-in, I still hadn’t received check-in instructions, so I had to reach out to the property manager via email and phone for status. After being told there was a delay in contacting me about the check-in instructions due to confusion about my phone number, the apartment was suddenly unavailable due to a leak. I was told verbally that the location of the booking would be changed to a different apartment on the opposite side of the city. While I was grateful that an equivalent accommodation was provided, the communication aspect for this change was lacking. I also did not feel very safe in the new neighborhood as a solo female traveler.
