I've stayed here before and normally don't need directions but this time had programmed my Satnav. Instead of exiting at the NEC I exited a couple of miles West and thought this was a short cut - Wrong! I had to circumnavigate a ring road and ended up at a Holiday Inn three miles down the road. There are three Holiday Inns in close proximity. Parking here is always difficult if there is a wedding but I managed to park after a 10 minute wait for someone to leave. Usual HI, clean rooms and value for money.

Rooms not ready when arrive however not to worry we had a very welcoming visit in the bar by Anaya who was absolutely fantastic , really chatty professional and couldnt do enough for us while we waited for our rooms to be ready

I was really looking forward to spending the night here, arrived had had to wait 15 minutes to check in. Check in was rushed and we weren’t given any information. Had to ask about the use of the pool and what time check out was. I was then informed that even though my room was paid for they needed to take £10 off my bank card to validate my room 🤷‍♀️ This would then be used to pay my parking £10 to park my car at a hotel I was staying in?? When booking I was not aware of the car parking charge I had not seen it anywhere on the booking site!! Used the pool and jacuzzi highlight of our stay. Room was clean and tidy but the neighbouring rooms where a nightmare, doors banging all night long people talking loudly at daft o’clock. Also the smell of drugs was very strong. Sorry holiday inn it’s Travelodge all the way from now on

We decided to stay at this location as we were visiting the NEC the next day. Fantastic we were so close, made it a lot easier for us! Check in was easy, informative and friendly. Room was ideal for an over night stay, practical, clean and more than adequate. Breakfast was fab! Tables clean, lots of breakfast options, staff friendly and you weren't on top of each other even though it was quite busy as we expected for a Saturday am. Loved the "build your own bap" idea. As always with these hotels, due to heavy fire doors, it was a bit noisy until everyone settled down but hotel can't odds that. We'll definitely return next time we are visiting the NEC.

I stayed in the hotel for one week, on business. The hotel and the room were clean and tidy, and the staff were very accommodating. But, only one member of staff on reception in the morning, when guests were trying to check out or validate car parking tickets, (the machine was broken). On three separate occasions guests had to ask if more staff were available to deal with the queues. Secondly the restaurant: On the first night, the food was lukewarm. Last night I waited 40 minutes for my food to arrive, that was only after I inquired whether my order had been placed. It hadn’t, so another wait whilst it was prepared. This evening they weren’t particularly busy, still I waited until the manager took my order, apologising that I’d had a long wait. There were lots of young staff, who didn’t seem to know what they were doing. I was in the restaurant for an hour and forty minutes. On the whole, a nice hotel, unfortunately the restaurant lets you down.

The reception who checked us in at 2 am really friendly and helpful and amazing Vicky at breakfast made our stay a good one.vicky went extra mile comin g to find us at bustop to advise time next bus to train station and served breakfast with a smile and a welcome "can do"attitude.

Booked a room here for some friends of ours for their wedding night. Although The wedding was a quite affair away from the hotel, we wanted the room to be special for them, and I have to say the housekeeping team went above & beyond to help make it a special night for our friends. Special thanks to Michelle Lowe, Sylvia Elpick, for the spotless room & all their help and Kasia & Jola for the wonderful towel art, and Tracey for the special note on the mirror. Well done team Housekeeping you are doing everything right.

Comfortable rooms and good staff . Nothing much to do around . Lots of events taking place and are already set up for xmas. Rooms do get a bit noisy due to the neighbouring airport. Just had breakfast and it was alright.

A short one night stay this weekend. Nice location, plenty of parking, good rooms and public areas. Nice food at bar and for breakfast. (Did not have MPW restaurant dinner). The staff were all good and happy to help.

I booked this hotel online for business as an advanced booking on my company credit card. I booked 1 room for two nights and I was surprised to hear when I arrived that the transaction had gone through twice. I only got one confirmation email for £274. The hotel reception said said they would look into it, but kept saying they were still looking into it during my stay. After my work event I rang Holiday Inn reservations and a lady shouted at me and said the manager has decided I won't get a refund. Now i've got to explain this to my accounts department and it's very likely I will be £274 out of pocket as I will need to pay the second charge. What a waste of money..... If you book here be careful online and don't pay in advance, because you could be out of pocket
