I always stay here when I come to Birmingham. This time I booked the suite, because I had additional guest. On the web page it looked ideal for what I needed. That is not what I got..when I arrived. The gentleman that helped me was very accommodating about changing rooms. That is my only complaint and the pool wasn't ready.

Hotel is ok for a short stay duration. The only bad thing and major for me was the bed was not comfortable and loud. The AC was loud too. I see they have upgraded some of the rooms but those type of beds with metal frames make loud noises eveytime you turn. Sheets and pillowcases could be a little fresher too. Few long hairs left from previous guests or whoever made the bed.

The property in itself was superb with one of the cleanest rooms I've ever stayed in a hotel room...The staff was very cordial and polite...the only thing wrong had nothing to do with the hotel facilities, but it appeared that the location was in a kind of seedy location next to an abandoned coal processing plant...other than that if I ever go back to Birmingham...I will automatically check into this facility...Regards, BJA

The proximity to our ultimate destination and price sold me on this choice. The condition of the room, lobby, 'breakfast', and the lack of communication between the cleaning crew lead me to my not wanting to return to this Days Inn. I understand the current corporate focus on profit over people. I just wish you always knew what to expect when staying at a Wyndham property. There is a lot more to say specifically but the overall problem, and therefore the solution, is not with a single hotel but rather the entire system. As they say, "Buyer beware."
