Some ridiculous nit-picking in some recent reviews not withstanding, a stay at the Tradition should be on the top of anyone's list looking for a stay in the Endicott/Vestal area. First of all, it's a piece of history as the virtual birthplace of IBM. Magnificent scenery alone, perched atop a hill overlooking the valley is worth the room price. Too early in the season to enjoy playing the golf course, but the wandering road up to the hotel gives you a feel. The staff, from check-in (Mark?) to waitress (Emily) to the morning chef (Wayne) were all friendly, personable and efficient. The rooms are comfortable (splurge on one of the 2 room suites if it's in your budget!) and well attended. We were happily surprised to see the TV accommodated our ROKU HDMI plug in! Water pressure in the shower was impressively strong. This is absolutely NOT a place to be missed if your stay is in the area. Abandon the named hotel chains and stay here.

Said breakfast and got granola bar and water in white bag. Room very worn and everything felt old.

All the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was just perfect to start the day it had a nice variety. The hotel sat in a nice secluded area away from traffic.

Trevor at the front desk help us out quite a bit and was always friendly. Ice machine near 2105 was frozen up twice in the 8 days were there. Had to go up to 2nd floor to get ice. Thank you Trevor. The room wasn't cleaned one day and Trevor brought extra towels.

Friendly staff, elegant old building with all the modern amenities, beautiful grounds and great views.

Comfortable and quiet. Wish food service was available Sundays.

Had a nice 1 day stay on these beautiful premisses. Staff updraded our room without problems. The original room was too hot. The HVAC system did not pick up T change in that room. Breakfast choices could be better. No fruits, cold cuts, cheese.

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was made to order and in a nice small quante room. Our favorite room to gather in was the sitting room by the fireplace. Perfect for February cold night. Only complaint would be that our bathroom was not cleaned as well as I would have liked. Would definitely safe again!

This was a beautiful setting! A clean and comfortable room with extremely pleasant & helpful staff. We were here for a local basketball tournament and rooms were tough to get. we were pleasantly surprised. This place is not geared for children and we did not spend a significant amount of time on the grounds, but it was an overall good experience!

Room was little too small for 2 queen size beds, very clean ,quiet

What a great stay; got nothing bad to say. This is a beautiful place set of in a serene area. It must be BOOMING in the Summers!

This is a great, historical, well managed, clean, fun resort/hotel with golf and a spa too. The best Sunday buffet around (the food was delicious) and the staff couldn't be nicer. [...] checked us in and was ever gracious and included the buffet tickets for our stay as noted on the reservation. [...] in the dining room was outstanding as were the three servers in the dining room and the two cooks were friendly and pleasent.I found the entire front desk staff to be very helpful and furnished a map and directions for me.This place is a bargain and a gem. It is the only place I would stay in the Endicott/Johnson City area. Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy one of the 41 rooms. I had room #2106 a suite thanks to a free upgrade at check-in.Enjoy this hotel, you will not be disappointed. Make sure you know where it is located as it is just a bit hard to find.

During this pandemic we are not able to provide a breakfast buffet. We do provide a grab and go breakfast, water, granola bar, and danish. Vincent Sano General Manager

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent stay at Traditions at the Glen. We are happy to see that Trevor was able to make a positive impression on your stay. I have spoken with our maintenance department who informed me that the ice machine was down for a few days but is now back up and running as normal. I will investigate with our Housekeeping supervisor to discover why your room may have been passed over for one of your days so that we can avoid this issue happening to future guests. Thank you again for your review and we hope to see you again during your next trip to the area.
