The place was falling apart: loose and broken tiles in our bathroom, peeling ceiling, broken and very old caulking in the shower, dented microwave, one working elevator, and a staff that was honestly, a buzzkill. The lobby was clean and updated but everything else was not. I would not book here again.

Nice location, friendly service. But….the television situation is a mess. 4 trips to the front desk, very complicated system to operate the tv. Channel buttons don’t work, on purpose. You have to type in each number and can’t just scroll around. Also, my shower head dripped the entire time, not an issue until trying to sleep. I’ve stayed here a few times and will stay again, but could use some updates on small things.

First time there..The room was okay but had better at other places in big rapids..pool ice cold. Hot tub green/ yellow never went in the 2 days I was there pool or hot tub. Breakfast was ok/ good. Just depends. Probably will stay somewhere else in the spring.. Hopefully gets better.

From the outside, it is evident they are renovating. Walking in, the lobby was bright, clean and appears to be new. While the staff was great, the rest of the facility was not as desirable. We checked into a room undergoing maintenance which the front desk staff was unaware of after checking the system with no record of the work. She quickly switched our room though. When we went to use the hot tub and pool, HUGE disappointment. For one, there were no pool towels available. The hot tub was literally yellow, looked like urine but probably an overload of chemicals and there was debris floating around. The pool did not look much better so we chose not to utilize either. The rooms are definitely dated but quite clean. The towels were fresh and fluffy. Clean comfortable sheets and pillows with high quality mattresses. We slept well and our room was clean but that is the only good I can write. The breakfast was less than mediocre. Slimy premade omelettes, dried out potatoes and disgusting breakfast sausage. I opted for toast with yogurt and was satisfied enough with that. I will likely not return to this property and go to another hotel when visiting my daughter at college.
