Stayed with colleagues whilst on a business trip, lovely little quaint hotel in a quaint little town with an amazing 16th century church. Prices very economical, rooms comfortable, dinner was excellent. Has a gym and pool, restaurant has a nice courtyard where sat and enjoyed one of those great Spanish G&T's Highly recommended

We found most things about the hotel were Superb especially the evening meal fantastic food and service The only thing that lets the hotel down is the rooms ours was tired particularly the bathroom I don't think the rooms were up to 4 star . It was also very noisy at night with doors banging

Firstly this hotel is in a medieval village so don't expect to find London style 4 star service. Having said that you will find the staff very friendly helpful and keen to get everything right for guests. Food is good with a huge varied selection available for breakfast (not the norm in Spain). I find when something is running low it's just a case of asking one of the staff to replenish it. Dinner is typically Spanish and again in my opinion very good. Vegetarians and those requiring a gluten free diet are well looked after. Rooms large and clean and unusually for Europe have kettles in them. Lovely garden with an outdoor pool (it's cold at this time of year).

Great location. Walking distance to everything in the village. Fantastic 3 day festival. Great staff , helpful polite friendly and had a can do attitude. Nice dining area great food. Nice outdoor pool😎

Pleasant hotel let down by Fawlty Towers type experience at breakfast - various items did not appear from one day to the next, scrambled eggs left to cool off in the open etc... Staff were helpful especially one of the evening waiters and the overnight receptionist who dealt with breakfast on his own the last morning. Had to wait until middle of the afternoon on the first day before our room was ready which also happened once again during the week we were there. Strongly recommend the Cate Soller in the town for coffee and cakes.

I was in room 307 this time and it was really quiet, although the hotel was full. Really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is a good size with plenty of areas to sit and relax. The restaurant is a must! Mediterranean menu and very tasty - plenty of it too. The pool was freezing! I felt I must try it out though, so I tried to put my feet in - so cold it hurt... Mind you, last time I was here was in August and it was cold then too, so no surprise.

Recently returned from Biar, stayed at Villa de Biar and thoroughly enjoyed our stay....despite the blizzards! On arrival the staff had no record of our booking! They were extremely helpful and assured us that we had a room to stay in :) , later they managed to find our booking in the spam folder! The food in the restaurant was very enjoyable with friendly and helpful staff, when looking out of our bedroom window the following morning we discovered that it was snowing! And settling quite deeply, we had appointments to keep so set off early. The trip back to Biar was unbelievably challenging, the snow was relentless. We only just managed to get back to Biar, I had to abandon the car on a steep side road leading to the hotel. On explaining this to the hotel manager he walked with me back to the car and reported where I had left it to the local police, this most certainly put my mind at rest. We shall never forget our four days in Biar, the hotel staff were simply amazing. Mucho Gracias muy bien!

Great location in the very attractive town of Biar. All the staff we met were fantastic, helpful and I would definitely recommend this hotel. The evening menu was quite adventurous and very varied. Lovely furnishings in reception and a very welcoming feel.

I went here to participate in a training course and stayed 6 nights. The hotel was like a Tardis - from the outside, from the front it is just a normal property on the roadside, but when you go in it is so light and bright (but thankfully cooler). From the street you walk into the reception area - only small, because the rest of the room is full of comfy settees and chairs and a small coffee bar. Bedrooms are located either spurs from this floor or on the next 2 floors up (there is a lift). Downstairs are the dining room, bar, conference room and access to the outside area which includes many sitting out areas, gardens, swimming pool and the undercover parking. The bedroom was spacious, and although it looked over the narrow front street, it was very quiet. There was a TV, tea/coffee making etc - everything you need. I did find the free wi-fi to be unstable so would not recommend relying on this. The food was fabulous - my only complaint (if it can be called that) is that there was so much of it! Note that it is Spanish food - not meat and two veg! - and service is efficient, but typically a meal took just over an hour. Excellent presentation and very fresh. On arrival, having not been there before, I did not know how to access the parking area, but I simply parked in the street and walked down. I was given a map with directions which were very simple to follow. All in all, an excellent stay and I will definitely be returning.

We took a road trip around France and Spain, Biar and this hotel definitely our favourite. Our other stops were lovely and great in so many ways but this was unobtrusive, beautiful and everything we wanted. Biar is stunning, we had friends who live locally which was a plus but the town itself is just stunning, a real hide treasure. The hotel owners were really helpful and so friendly and nothing about this hotel is corporate;quite important when you've stayed at a variety of places along the trip. Beautiful,Thank you and we'll be back X
