Okay for a one night stopover

We booked a family room for four, which showed on Expedia to have beds for four. When we arrived they either had no such room in the hotel or none available. They honoured the price and gave us two separate rooms. One smelled of stale smoke, so they gave us another with no issue. It is an old hotel with sloping floors but the rooms have been decorated in a modern style. Everything was in good condition and worked fine. The restaurant was closed when we arrived late, it they brought us a meal to our room and it was good. Breakfast was very good. It is directly opposite the train station so not a quiet spot, and not really a part of town to want to spend any time. Fine for a stopover.

Couldn't get in at hotel as it seemed closed,went to restaraunt next door and eventually got checked in! We went to room it was clean enough however mattress was so hard I have a back problem but even this was too hard for me!! Breakfast was €8.50 extra each and for that we got 1 croissant, half a baguette, orange juice , coffee and yoghurt!! With various sachets of jelly!!! It was ok but not great!! Won't be staying there again!!!

B Hotel - Bethune

We stayed in the family room - 2 adults and 2 children. It was a large room with 2 twin beds in one part and a double in the other. Small bathroom only had shower but was all we needed for a short stay. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Food in the bar in the evening freshly cooked and tasty. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend. Parking was in gravel carpark opposite free (station carpark). Although hotel was opposite train station - we were not bothered by noise from trains or buses. Rooms are all on 2nd floor - no lift - so would not be good for people who cannot do stairs.
