This hotel is large but showing its age and heavy use. There are cracks in the pavement, and the wall paper is coming off at the seams. Every thing worked TV, Wi-Fi etc. Beds clan and comfortable. Needs over haul. Worth the price. Oh and the charge for breakfast.
The hotel is very nice to spend your time with. The rooms are very clean. The staff is very good. The food is delicious. I recommend this hotel for everyone!
Staff was friendly upon arrival and accommodating. The rooms are nice and large-perfect for families. The breakfast was okay. I think they should have more than one waffle maker as the line to make waffles got long. The pool looked nice and cool. The mattress cover for the spare sofa bed was dirty. However staff quickly arrived with clean linen upon request.
The hotel exceeded my expectations. I thought that because it was so cheap it would be kinda gross -- the type of room you're afraid to be barefoot in. Instead, the beds are really comfy, there was tons of parking, the rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and professional, and it's near a small outdoor shopping area where there is a grocery store and some restaurants. About 10 minutes away there is also a Target. We stayed there about a month for UMCP's graduation. I very much recommend it if you are trying to be in town for a local graduation because it's far enough out from DC/College Park that the prices don't spike, but close enough that you are struggling for time the day of. There aren't any super nice restaurants near by tho, so we had the grad dinner in Silver Spring.
The Quality Suites Hotel is a beautiful facility situated on beautiful grounds. But the rooms need a complete overhaul. You will feel the wires running across the floor under the cheap carpeting. Some of the furniture was damaged. But, the price was a bargain! (Under $100/night.) If they remodeled the rooms, they could easily charge double the rate. They have a pool and hot tub, but both are closed at night. Why have a hot tub if it's closed in the evenings? That's when everyone uses it! It's supposed to be an all-suite hotel, but they gave my parents a tiny, single room (which they refused to accept). Still, it's a good hotel at a great price!
Check in late at night.on our way to room at second floor,we use the elevator and stuck in the elevator for 10 minutes with other guest and thanks God with one of the staff.i come with my mother in law and she's really scared.really bad experience.i hope they fix it soon.the carpet have a couple stain.the room smell of something that bother me.and I suspect there's a bug at the sofa coz my skin keep itchy every time I sat on the sofa.outside I think need more maintenance and need to be clean.it looks kinda scary especially at night.i like its have kitchen.the room bigger than I thought.the wifi good.need to pay $3 per person for breakfast.
It is good suit room and living room, although it is chesper than a lot of hotels for just a room
It is fair to stay. Simple and clean also beds are comfortable and the living room size is reasonable. The suit has Full kitchen hich is good.
the hotel is clean and nice but the service is not that good
The only place I will go back to when I'm around MD
It is an excellent hotel, great location, close to everything, very friendly and helpful stuff, and just a wonderful experience.
The rooms were clean, the towels were fluffy, the location was convenient and the price was great. Couldn't have asked for a better stay for a moderately priced suite hotel. Staff was courteous and helpful.
October visit to DC areA found this gem! Convenient to expressway and Metro via shuttle. Great staff, very helpful, friendly and diligent. Highly recommend this as it is a suite hotel at a very reasonable price.
Had a great stay at this hotel. Staff were courteous, responsive, and went to great lengths to help out. Hotel area was pretty clean/kept up to standards.
Very spacious room and kitchen w large pull out couch and table! Clean too:) no complaints.
There were numerous problems with this hotel. First, the front desk clerk named "T-Boy" was extremely rude when asked questions (which could have been answered with simple literature inside the room, like the shuttle schedule, etc) The air conditioner did not work properly. There were no drawers in the room, so we ended up putting our suitcase up on the table and living out of the suitcase for the duration of our stay). The kitchen was sparsely filled...not even a single pot or pan could be found, only 2 plates, one fork, one spoon, etc.. The room faced the highway and was extremely loud with highway noise (not the hotel's fault, but certainly not a pleasant room to stay in). We were given incorrect driving directions two different times. If I ever return to Rockville I will stay at another hotel.
Thank goodness for their stellar staff's performance; they were so polite, helpful, and responsive that I wanted to hug them. Day 1, Room 1 - #150: air conditioner screeching when not in active cooling mode. Hour 2, Room 2 - #245 Its sleeping area vent cover was missing; no headboard, filthy bathtub + hair; self-cleaned with personally purchased supplies. Leaking shower head; water drips behind faucet. Fitness center door access required employee assist. One cycle couldn't be programmed, and the treadmill speeds didn't increase properly. Day 3, discovered the #245 door was actually not locking - one could jiggle the handle and the door opens - demanded new location after sitting 1.5 hr as the hard-working employee tried to repair. Delayed getting to an appointment. Day 3, pm - Room # 361 - Finally an acceptable room with all amenities intact that we then only used for sleeping!!! Black mold stain in bathroom ceiling. Safety Notice each room: Bathtubs are very low to the floor, and there's no hold or grab bar to safely leave the shower. In Rm #1, the tub bottom is rounded so feet are always bent at an unsteady inward angle! Hoping this is just a franchised location, but I will avoid all Choice hotels! I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and never had such an experience. I am very suspicious of the positive experiences listed on their website and will locate the owners to complain and request partial reimbursement! They will not enjoy the photos we took. We selected what was to be 3-star rated; belatedly realized the place is being renovated, but guests should not be assigned those rooms. Arriving to see huge construction bins on the property is a shock!
It's hard to explain where to begin. Despite no line, it took 30 minutes to check in. She had no knowledge of our reservation and let the desk 4 times to yell something at a co-worker in another room. The room was dirty; actually scummy. The built-refrigerator didn't work so they scavenged a worn and dented refrigerator and simply plopped it into a corner of the room. The kitchenette had chunks missing from it, as though someone deliberately damaged it. The rug was filthy. The exterior of the hotel and walkways were stained and sticky from soda or old beer. The landscaping was overgrown with weeds and the pool was dirty. This hotel has no right to be in a 3 star category in any market. They also wanted to charge us 3$ per person for their all inclusive breakfast despite advertising that it was included their website. STAY AWAY AT ANY PRICE.
This is an excellent extended stay hotel with great location and fine amenities. Hotel is clean on quiet street with office complexes, but close to I-270 and DC. Stayed one night but would definitely return. Kitchenette very useful. Pet fees reasonable. Did not get chance to swim, but pool area looked clean. Grounds well maintained. Free breakfast could use more fruits, but was sufficient. Drawback was only one ice machine on property.
When we arrived, our room had no soap and no tea at the coffee maker section. We drove to the front desk to ask for soap and tea and the receptionist did not even apologize and just pointed us to a section where the tea are located for the continental breakfast.
