What an amazing stay we had at the Regent. The hotel upgraded us to a suite, which was incredible! Service, food and facilities were brilliant, and the hotel is in an amazing location. We hired bikes and spent several days seeing the sights. A great first visit to Berlin. Can’t fault it.
This is our ever preferred hotel in Berlin. Last March we booked 4 rooms for a family celebration. This hotel never disappoints, the rooms are implacable, specious, and elegantly decorated, service is courteous yet very friendly, breakfasts are sampteous, and location - most elegant in town. It has a feel of a boutique hotel with a service and facilities of a grand dame. We’ll definitely go back whenever we’re in Berlin.
What a wonderful hotel Previously a four seasons property but now the regent this has certainly maintained the standards set by its previous owners the four seasons Room are enormous at over 40square meters this is nearly double the size of other Berlin hotels. Rooms are immaculate with wonderful furnishings and added extras to make you extremely comfortable Breakfast and service a delight in the newly opened restaurant with its beautiful decoration and views of the churches on the gendermarkt Hotel has a nice decent sized fitness center in the basement If there for meetings the rooms are fantastic, beautifully decorated and equipped Public areas again wonderful and staff and service exquisite. The lounge area for afternoon tea very beautiful with access to patio when warmer weather. Shame I did not have time to sample the afternoon tea New bar similar to decor of restaurant opening in a couple of weeks- again shame I was unable to experience this As you can tell I loved this hotel and would recommend to anyone looking for true luxury in opulent surroundings A must for me
An excellent hotel in Berlin - with many German colleagues recommending I stay here. Service overall was great, rooms are older style, comfortable and large. Centrally located and easy to get around. The breakfast area was under renovation when I stayed there so it was not your typical experience. Staff breakfast service was inconsistent, for example from some wait staff I had to go and make my own tea from a tea station and my own toast. Surprising for a 5 star hotel breakfast experience. I would stay again.
The Regent is perfectly located in Mitte with many of the main attractions in walking distance. It is classically decorated and we were fortunate to be upgraded to a lovely suite which gave us just that little extra room to stretch out. The bed was very comfortable. The amenities lovely and service delightful. There are a number of good eateries nearby as well as a great selection of shops which makes it even more convenient. We enjoyed breakfast each morning. The Villeroy & Boch crockery is gorgeous to use especially the tea cup. The hotel has a high tea in the afternoons which looked fabulous but we didn’t have time to sample it. The bar is a delightful intimate space where we actually took advantage of our room amenity and had dinner one night. We would highly recommend the Regent Berlin. Tip: join AMEX so you can utilise the Fine Hotels service to enable a possible room upgrade and receive the welcome amenity of a food and bar credit.
We came again to this wonderful hotel which is perfect situated in Berlin Mitte. Service, rooms, Tea-Time, breakfast everything is perfect. We love this hotel and we come again for sure, because not only service is so excellent also you can walk to a lot of interesting places from the hotel
My wife and I stayed there for 5 days and were stunned at their service. It was the best among the many we have experienced. There never was a line, our room was large and kept perfectly clean, the food was fabulous, the staff was always helpful, and the afternoon tea in their tea room was the best ever. They are centrally located so we could walk to museums, opera, and fine restaurants. I would return any time I returned to Berlin.
The Regent Berlin is in an excellent location and we felt safe walking at any hour. The driver that picked us up at the airport was friendly and informational, check in was seamless, daily fruit in the room was a nice surprise, and it was looking to be an excellent stay. However, I was assured prior to our visit that the room was non-smoking and told the reservation agent that I was very sensitive to cigarette smoke. The room must have been a smoking room at some time or possibly the smell was in the ventilation system. Although the front desk agents were friendly at check in, others throughout our stay weren't as kind and service was inconsistent. The day before we left, our Nespresso machine broke. We told the room service attendant, the front desk, and housekeeping. Our flight was leaving very early the next morning and caffeine was a necessity. After seeing the sights for the day and arriving back to our room tired, we did not check to see if it had been fixed or replaced and were very unpleasantly surprised the next morning. We arranged a vehicle through the concierge to take us to the airport. This was our third vehicle arranged during the trip and the prior two were very roomy Audi A8s. The small Mercedes that was arranged to pick up three adults and bags was not sufficient. Two bags had to be placed in the front seat and the three of us (small adults) were packed so tightly into the backseat that we could not put our seat belts on.
My third stay at the Regent. This is a very elegant hotel, right at the heart of Berlin, adjoining the beautiful Gendarmenmakrt. My room had views over the Französische Kirche. Quiet, and very elegant spaces downstairs. But it is struggling to keep up with its Five Star rating. The rooms feel dated and a bit tired (v welcome Nespresso machines notwithstanding). Décor is a bit dull and lacklustre in the rooms, though the (limited) spaces downstairs are glitzy and elegant.. Ironically the part that least needs updating - the excellent Fischers Fritz restaurant - was closed for renovation on our visit! A good gym, but the services are not really what you'd expect from a five star hotel. The room service menu was also a bit lacklustre, and breakfast expensive - though there is a good range of places to eat on the square. So though I like this place, I'm afraid it's losing its shine, and will find it progressively harder to justify its high prices. I really hope they can arrest the slow decline.
We stayed, as a family, over Easter weekend. The Easter displays were stunning, and chocolate was being freely given away everywhere we looked! We could not fault this beautiful hotel. The fact our rooms were ready at 10am knocked us out, we were so relieved after a ridiculously early start. The staff were so friendly, rooms and especially bathrooms are stunning and perfectly appointed, L'Occitane toiletries, lovely coffee machine and sumptuous beds, bliss. The breakfast buffet was just unbelievable, the concierge, reception and door staff all super-friendly and helpful. We were made to feel very special, thank you!
