Incredibly central to everything, yet very quiet. It’s in a former factory, so the ceilings are high and the walls are thick. My favorite hotel whenever I come to Berlin.
Rude front desk staff: we checked in for a guaranteed room at 11:30 PM. We explained that our flight next day is at 6 PM and requested a late check out even 1 hour past their normal Noon checkout. The trainee was very communicative and tried to be helpful but his manager was curt and impolite. Told the trainee to tell us no because the hotel is sold out the next day. This could have been better handled. I went back in the morning and asked for it again. There was no problem this time and they gave us till 1:30 to check out. I knew this would happen but why couldn’t the night front desk guy say this with a smile. He needs some counseling. Johanna Schneider responded to my initial checkin review nicely and probably is the one that granted the late checkout request. Rooms are nice. Breakfast too expensive but must be nice. We didn’t want to spend €18/person for breakfast. Bathrooms have glass block. Fine for couples. A little embarrassing for families.
