Stayed here from 16/6 until 19/6, its a really nice hotel, well located. All of the staff bar one were really friendly and helped where they could with directions. It is in walking distance of the train stations.
A clean and attractive room. The staff are polite and professional. The breakfast has an adequate choice. We asked for a quiet rear facing room to be off the main road. PROBLEM is that the curtains have no lining and we were woken at first light. If they could invest in light proofing I would give a higher rating. Great location 8 minutes walk from Kedawe department store and 20 minutes from the zoo.
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. It is not in central Berlin but in a pleasantly quietish district to the west, close to the zoo and the famous KaDeWe store. Midway between two U Bahn stations (both under 5 minutes walking) and with some good local bars and restaurants, this proved to be a modern-looking and well run hotel. Reception staff were helpful and friendly, the rooms were clean, quite spacious and functional with comfortable beds and decent showers, the lifts worked well and our room at the back, away from a busy main road, was quiet and well serviced. Breakfast was generous...typical continental buffer style...and we enjoyed eateries and pubs located nearby. The walks to the U Bahns were very easy...one by turning left outside the hotel and the other to the right, both only a few minutes away: there was also a bus stop just outside Ivbergs. Our only query was a lack of free wi-fi, but as we were on holiday this was not a major issue. We would happily return and have no hesitation in recommending it .
Clean, tidy, quiet even though you're very close to the Kurfürstendamm. Great central location with 2 U Bahn stations within a few minutes walk. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Nice comfortable room, well stocked and reasonably priced minibar. Great breakfast spread. Couldn't have asked for more. If I had a single gripe with the Ivbergs, it would be with one of the young ladies on reception. She was quite miserable and unfriendly and couldn't make it clearer that providing any sort of assistance was beneath her. Unlike her colleagues, who couldn't be more helpful and polite. Overall, a nice hotel I'd happily use again, if I return to Berlin.
Visited for a weekend break, arrived on the morning flight,so had to wait till 1400 hrs for our room. The hotel took care of our bags till our room was available. We had a twin room, with bath and overhead shower, which had two heads, very powerful for a hotel. The room was clean with the most comfortable beds and pillows. There was no Beveridge tray but this is not unusual in European hotels, there was a fully stocked fridge and a safe in the room. The shower room did have one peculiarity, the door was see through glass.,but the toilet did have a wooden door. The hotel is situated near two U bahn stations, near to café,s and a short ten minute walk from the shops of Kafurstendam .The U bahn is easy to transvers and made the city conveniently on your doorstep. The food at breakfast was plentiful and lots of freshly made coffee( not from a machine) ,which is a lovely surprise today ,as many hotels have converted to the dreaded machines !! I would stay here again if I visited Berlin, hopefully in the not too distant future,to see the sights I was not able to see on this visit
Just returned from a four night visit to Berlin and stayed at this hotel. This hotel is extremely central and 5 minutes walk to two different U Bahn stations, and the KaDeWe! We received a room as requested, quiet and on a high floor. We got room 501, a room used for handicapped people meaning it was larger and with an amazing large shower. The hotel staff were pleasant, helpful and assisted with any "how to" questions we had. The breakfast was very good. Only bad thing to mention is the wifi which costs 5 Euro a day in the room, which the staff are sorry for stating it's a "management decision"! Would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it...
Really nice mid-price hotel in central Berlin close to Kurfürstendamm. Lots of good shopping close to the hotel. (Beware that the hotel is close to a small gay bar area to the east. Not that it is any problem in relation to the hotel, though!)
Very relaxing hotel, convenient on one hand for lady wife's shopping (lots of big shops) but easy to reach all the mainstream tourist attractions on the local transport systems. Great breakfast bar to keep you going for the day and a small restaurant finishes of the day well. Even the minibar prices are reasonable.
The rooms to the street are very noisy. You hear traffic. Needed better isolated windows. The service staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast quite good, but was better years ago. Will come again and can recommend this hotel. Please ask for rooms to the back of the building.
We went the whole family, on the occasion of a wedding. All very well, staff, rooms, food, cleanliness, services, location ... Great value for the price Highly recommended for any type of visits to Berlin.
