We eventually found this hotel in a very poor area of Berlin at about 11am. The reception staff were rude and very unhelpful! In fact they sent us in the wrong direction twice! We were told to come back at 1pm whrn our room would be ready. We came back at 1pm it was not. Told to come back at 2pm, no apology offered! Beware the hotel has no bar, restaurant or even an area where you can sit down! The rooms is nice but I would definitely not recommend this hotel because of the poor location, very rude reception staff and total lack of any facilities.
We stayed for short city break. Hotel is situated within 5/10 mins to tubes and buses near by. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Room was basic but we didn't need anything fancy as wasn't in there long only to sleep. Beds were huge and comfy which was a bonus. Shower bathroom was good. Only thing we struggled with is no wifi in room which made trying to find decent places to eat or go harder. Having to sit in lobby to use wifi. Also could of done with safe and iron, which we later found out you could get from reception after asking. Breakfast was good to get you set up for the day. Overall happy with the stay!

My partner and I visited Berlin in Dec 2016 to see the Christmas markets. We chose to stay in the Ivbergs hotel Charlottenburg as it was right in the middle of what we wanted to see. It was about a 5-10 min walk from the train station. Really easy to find. Lovely modern reception and decor throughout. Friendly helpful staff behind the desk. There is a supermarket opposite for anything you may need, there's also a gorgeous kebab shop opposite the hotel, their donner boxes are to die for!! The room was perfect, large bathroom with a HUGE shower it was lovely. Large wardrobe, mirrors, tables etc. Beds weren't the comfiest but we were only here for 3 nights so this wasn't a problem for us. We went to Berlin for the Christmas markets - and they did not disappoint! There is a market just left out of the hotel (about a 10 min walk) at the Charlottenburg palace which was beautiful, lovely stalls, gorgeous food, and brass bands playing Christmas songs all night long! However one of our favourites would have to be the one at Alexanderplatz (about 5-10 mins away on the train) We went to Alexanderplatz market through the day, it was just stunning! They had an ice skating rink, a big wheel, loads of stalls, food places and pubs it was gorgeous. Very Christmassy! Again this was really easy to find, get on the train to Alexanderplatz, then come out left at the train station (you will see the huge tv tower) and the market is directly behind that. Would also recommend visiting Berlin zoo! We had an amazing day there. Animals all seemed happy and they had large enclosures. Aquarium was great too. After the zoo we visited the Christmas market at zoologischer garten. This was the best one yet! Loads of things to see, loads of lovely food places and mulled wine stalls. It was just stunning and so Christmassy! All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel. It was very cheap but the location was excellent, rooms were more than efficient and Berlin was amazing! Would definitely stay at the ivbergs hotel again when we return to Berlin!
hotel for the money was excellent lovely breakfast well worth the money had to use tube to get to center but tubes are every few minutes staff were helpful show you on a map were you needed to go very quite around the hotel
Its on a busy main road, amazing shops around. It was very convenient living there, there was a bus station close by which i loved. The rooms was very clean but no TEA FACILITIES. I am British I need my tea making equipment, the staff were ok. Nothing bad to say about the place apart from the missing tea and coffee services. I would definitely stay there again, maybe buy ny own kettle alone withmy tea making things
We booked this through Groupon for a short break to visit the Christmas markets. The hotel was great for a short break. We did not spend much time in the room but it was good for what we needed. The rooms was clean! The only negatives would be that there was no safe or tea/coffee making facilities. Also only one pillow per person.
We were greeted by possibly the most miserable receptionist ever. He was efficient but grumpy. The room was also efficient but the bath towels were thin and small, as were the pillows. The breakfast is overpriced and you are far better off using the delightful bakery on the corner across the road. We asked why they didn't have kettles any more and were told they nearly caused a fire! Interesting ! Still musing on that!! The hotel is well placed for buses to the centre.
Went to Berlin on Dec-16 for a long weekend to the Christmas markets. Fantastic time had by all. Friendly and inviting atmosphere in all markets and restaurants. definitely worth going if you haven't been before to Christmas markets. great beer and food and not forgetting the sausages.
Flew into Berlin for a short escape from the festive season back home. A straightforward journey from Schonefeld Airport but no drop off bar on the street and through the snow. Reception staff are lovely, helpful and knowledgeable which is always a key factor. We didn't have breakfast included; mainly as we enjoy visiting as many places as possible in each break. So we cannot comment on that element. The rooms are nicely presented, beds are supremely comfortable (winner) but split duvets and only one pillow each isn't ideal. If you are visiting somewhere you do in this modern era wish to use free WIFI but there is only 1 hour of this and it's not got much strength away from the lobby to assist with planning your activities. Charged on credit card thereafter (no thanks). Located a short walk from an underground service on U7, many restaurants and shops so cannot go wrong. Also stones throw from the palace for you Regal types. Suits basic needs, three star hotel, three star delivery. Berlin itself is a 5 star location but cost was very acceptable and trip enjoyable nonetheless.
