Easy to find and located about 10 minutes by tube from main city centre. We landed at Schoenenfeld Airport walked about 5 minutes to the station (Bahnhof) bought a 72 hour travel card for just under 30 Euros. This gives unlimited travel on all the trains and buses (not the tour buses though). Be sure to validate your ticket in the reader located by the machines. There is usually a guy there to help you get your tickets. Then follow the red line on the floor to S line station and get off at Zoologister Garten station. Short walk to the U line station take the U2 in direction Ruhleben and get off at Theodor Heutz Platz. The hotel is about 200 metres from the station. There are a few restaurants and takeaways plus chemist and small supermarkets in the area. Suggest you buy a few snacks and drinks for the hotel as they do not have tea anf coffee facilities in the room (which is really the only negative thing I have to say about the hotel). The hotel is clean, comfortable, modern and staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning is about 9 Euros but we did not use it as we wanted to get out and about as we were only on a two night visit. The shower was great , really powerful and lashings of hot water.Beds were really comfortable and rooms were quiet with little or no traffic noise. All in all a good value place to stay for a visit to Berlin
Nice clean hotel! Comfy beds and powerful shower. No complaints for the price!! Would benefit from tea/coffee making facilities in the room. 1 minute walk to Ubahn to get to all main areas/attractions. Breakfast is not the best but was very happy with my stay.
Great hotel, staff are really helpful and friendly. Good location. Rooms are clean and spacious. Lovely bakery right across the road, and steakhouse too. U bahn within 100 metres that takes you everywhere you need to go.
Good hotel with spacious rooms and nice bathroom.staff friendly. Easy-ish to find. We landed at schoenenfeld airport. Because taxis and leading shuttle bus services are expensive, we opted for public transport. I had already been into the public transport system prior to landing BVG. it has a route planner , it planned the bus / trams and numbers and I printed it off to use The airport is small. When we landed go to arrival main doors where the buses stop. You need to buy a ticket €3.40 from a yellow ticket machine. The x7 or 171 run every few minutes..validate ticket on bus. Ask driver to tell you which stop to get off to get the U7 underground ,heading towards spandau. After a good few stops, get off at the stop called Bismarck where you change to U2 line. After 3-4 stops , get off at theodore platz. Look across roundabout and you will see aldi, it's to the right of there, five minutes walk. We found that the busiest area was the mitte area, where the U2 runs direct ..
I stayed here with my partner for 3 nights after booking a groupon deal to visit the Berlin Christmas markets. The staff spoke English and were very polite and happy to help, whether it was to make a drink at the bar or call a cab. The room was comfortable enough. The beds were twin matresses on a double base, which was a bit annoying. The pillows were thin. The shower was good. There is a cocktail bar across the road, as well as two steak houses and some takeaways (chicken and kebab). The Theodor station (U2 line on the U Bahn) is a 2 minute walk away and is incredibly easy to use. The line goes straight to the zoo station in 10 minutes and to Alexanderplatz in about 30.
The hotel didn't look much from the outside, as we arrived late and in the dark. But inside was nice and cosy, reception staff were very helpful, and were able to get us some rooms next to each other. As we had booked two rooms as 4 friends were traveling, but they had prepared a room on the second floor and another on the fifth. Breakfast was from 6.30-10.30 which is the lastest I've known breakfast. It had a mixture of foods. Cereals, cold meat, cheese, boiled eggs, sausage, bacon etc The selection weren't that big but staff were on hand to refill the stock. I had room 208, it was massive! They could easily have made it into a family room or a primere room. Small tv, which my friend weren't too happy about, but we didn't spend much time in the room. Walk in shower and a separate toilet. All very clean plus the rooms were cleaned daily aswel. Hotel is a great location, on the U2 line with many bus services outside aswel. We managed to find it with ease straight from the airport. Bar on the ground floor, music on. Was always empty but we used it, prices were very reasonable. Aldi was a few doors away, steak house opposite, and a few fast food shops all within walking distance.
Some twenty minute travel outside of the centre but well worth staying here. Comfortable room with standard facilities. Right by a main road but didn't notice any noise. Staff very helpful and buffet breakfast was varied with plenty of tasty hot and cold choices and limitless coffee, tea and juices. Recommend it for quality and price.
Strange review title but it will become clear later in my review. We stayed here over the weekend of 9th to 12th December - on arrival we were impressed with the clean, spacious foyer. The receptionist was very helpful and took the time to show us on the map, available from reception, where the Xmas markets were. The plus sides :- Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were on the 5th floor facing the back of the hotel so it was lovely and quiet. The air conditioning also worked well keeping the room lovely and warm. The negatives :- Separate duvets made for chilly times in the night, the shower/basin area was so tiny that one had to dry off in the bedroom and the pillows were so thin that if they took out any more stuffing it wiuld just leave the case! Now to explain the title of my review. On our first morning we realised that the shower head would not stay up meaning we had to kneel down to wash our hair. On reporting this to reception we were advised that the maintainence staff did not work at the weekend so it was unlikely that they could mend it! True to their word, on our return that evening, it had obviously not been touched. We managed to bodge it with a plastic toothpick and that was the way it stayed. No offer to move us to a room with a working shower was received. The hotel is on the outskirts of Berlin but only 2 minutes from the nearest underground station. Daily tickets are available at €7.90 a day. There Is a fabulous steak restaurant opposite the hotel and a couple of cafes if you don't want to eat in the hotel.
This is a great hotel for a 3star ,great location ,very clean ,overlooking a main road but did not notice any noise , only down side was the breakfast found it very expensive for what you get ,the wi/fi is only one hour free from the lobby but we still couldn't get it ,,the u-Bahn is just across the road and very cheap you can explore all off Berlin . I would recommend this hotel for anyone who wishes to explore Berlin , we went to five Christmas markets all were expensive but lovely .
We stayed at this hotel from the 6th Dec-9th Dec 2016 and all of the staff were friendly, helpful and polite. The hotel was clean and comfortable and was only a short walk away from the underground. We used this to travel around to the Christmas markets. There is a TV in the room. Wifi was free for 1 hour in reception but you could buy more for about 4-5euros. Clean towels supplied everyday if you wanted them.
