We stayed here on a short break during particularly cold weather. The hotel was warm and welcoming and the rooms were very good. The breakfast included hot options and was excellent. There are a small number of eating places within a short stroll from the hotel or one could walk about 100 m to the U-bahn and travel into central Berlin. The journey typically took 30-40 minutes. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Comfortable basic hotel with easy access by public transport to the city centre (Midstatt)- it takes about 20 minutes from Theodore Heuss Platz. Breakfast buffet included fruit, cereal, pastries, scrambled eggs, sausages, tea coffee and juice. Not exceptional but edible.
The hotel is fairly close to the Charlottenburg station (10 minutes walk) and it's in a very friendly neighborhood. You have a lot of restaurants near it and also a lot of stores in case you want to buy a quick snack or drink. The rooms are fairly large and very comfortable. A small TV, walkin shower, huge bed. They even offered us a queen size room instead of double twins which was amazing. The hotel staff friendly and kind. The included breakfast had everything you need. Warm food, eggs, coffee, tea, cheese, etc.
We stayed at the Ivbergs Messe for a midweek city break with family members during March. The hotel was welcoming and the rooms although small were clean, comfortable with nice fresh linen, I had a bit of trouble with the wooden bed frame as I kept banging my leg as I tried to manoeuvre round the room. They are obviously doing some work within the hotel and the lobby and lift area are showing signs of wear and tear! Breakfast was good with lots of choice. Very easy for underground and nice restaurants nearby. We were pretty happy with our stay.
The Ivbergs was an excellent choice. The nearby underground station has good connection to the airport via the zoo garten station. Get on at Wittenberg. The Hotel is exceptionally clean and comfortable. Air conditioning /heating was easy to use and the rooms are well designed with good lighting and plenty of electric points. A fridge in the room was a welcome addition. T.V gave several English speaking channels (22 onwards) Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of both hot and cold dishes, fruit and pastries. Staff are efficient and Reception staff gave useful information. The Hotel was very quiet and no outside traffic noise was heard (room 139)
We had a truly wonderful time in Berlin thanks in part to staying at the ivsbergs Berlin messe. It is close to shops (Aldi, netto) and various restaurants and bakers (steak house, 2 Italian pizzerias and 4 or 5 takeaways) it is also across from Theodor heuss U-bahn line 2 which can take you to all the main attractions. If staying here i would recommend flying from Tegel Airport as an uber from Schönefeld was €48. Inside the hotel is well organised, extremely clean with nice staff. Most of whom spoke English. With a lift it was acceptable to us as we are both disabled. The room we stayed in 104 was brilliant loads of cupboard and drawer space, separate toilet and shower, tv, huge windows, air con, heating and a surprisingly comfy german bed (2 separate mattresses in 1 frame) Reading light plus plugs at both sides of the bed. Overall a really well thought out design. We opted for breakfast included which was a let down to be honest hot food was fatty bacon and what looked like eggs (i wouldn't recommend the food tbh) overall though i would highly recommend this neighbourhood hotel. The house keeper was brilliant very polite and helpful leaving rooms spotless.
Just arrived back from our trip to Berlin hotel was very comfortable, everything you need for a short stay. Reception wasn’t too friendly when we arrived which was disappointing however the service was efficient. Breakfast - continental with hot option, fresh and enough to set you up for the day. Room - comfortable, duvet very thin and needed to ask for extra pillow. No fridge or tea making facilities but not really something I expected tbh. 1 channel which was American, nothing else for entertainment would have been nice to have a channel as Berlin was freezing cold and we came in early from site seeing. Take a good book. Travel - excellent underground straight across the avenue, head towards Pankow to centre of Berlin. Hotel 20-30 mins from centre but didn’t bother us at all. Overall - lovely city, clean and efficient, plenty to see with tons of cafes on your doorstep. Will certainly go back!
Wonderful staff, spotlessly clean and really good breakfast. I was trying to organise a money off voucher for a restaurant in Berlin and could not complete it. The female receptionist, was amazing and somehow managed to fix it all out for me. My husband is disabled and the hotel has a step in the front and two steps up to reception so is not wheelchair friendly, I did request an accessible room and did not get one so I assume the hotel does not have any. There is a step at the front of the hotel, and 2 steps up to the reception, so the hotel could benefit from installing some ramp access - or at least have removable ramps, and it also cost us quite a bit in taxis to get to and from Berlin centre. We did eventually find out that most of the buses can accommodate wheelchairs, so would know better next time. We were given a room close to the lift which was a bonus, but patrons with no lower body mobility would not manage in this hotel. We found the room very cold, the receptionist turned up the heating in the room remotely and the gave us extra quilts. The only other negative is the lift - the doors close in a few seconds and just about cut you in half, as they are difficult to reopen once they start to close - and they shut with a great deal of force.Having said all that it is still a lovely hotel with great, helpful staff.
Lovely hotel, small, clean, no frills but cheap and certainly adequate. We stayed for four nights and had no problems at all. Hotel is a five minute brisk walk from Theodor Heuss Platz on the U2 line. It takes about 30 minutes on the underground to Alexanderplatz. Hotel rooms do not have tea and coffee making facilities, we were room only so cannot comment on breakfast. The bar is in the reception area, staffed by receptionist. Take your own lemon if you want a slice in your G&T, unless you’re there in the next 48 hours as we bought some from Aldi down the road! Happy to share! Toiletries are supplied, towels are a bit thin, but adequate. We only met two staff, a hilarious Russian gentleman and a lovely young lady, both on reception, very kind and helpful. We would stay again, however, it’s worth considering hotels nearer the centre of town because what you pay per night there is offset by underground fares and time lost getting to places.
Me and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights as part of a trip through Europe, I can't fault the hotel at all, it had everything that we needed. The location was great, just outside the city but amazing transport links and the bus station was just a small walk down the road, which was convient for us as we were catching the bus to our next destination Prague. In the area surrounding the hotel there are some nice cocktail bars and places to eat which was fab for the evening when we didn't feel like travelling back into the city. Room was clean, spacious and very warm despite the freezing weather outside! Would stay again.
