Holiday Inn Berlin Airport - Conference Centre4.0 out of 5.0

Very close to the airport. Fully equipped rooms. The bathroom and shower are spotless, with a strong and hot stream of water (even in the best hotels we've ever had, it's not obvious). Good and inexpensive dinner. Meets the requirements.
I stayed in one of the executive suites during my week long business project in Berlin. The only one downside is the distance this hotel is from the center of Berlin, but then again there is readily available transport from the hotel (shuttle bus) that goes to the train station and several trains that go from there to Berlin center. The bar staff are extended friendly..the front desk staff not so much... The bar is pretty cool and chilled out. The breakfast has a wide variety of just what you need. Good hotel for business...and it’s very evident as most of the guests there are there for business!
Recently spent 3 nights at this hotel. The hotel is convienent to the airport and train station. We used the complimentary shuttle that runs 24 hours on a consistent basis and I believe after midnight you must contact them for pickup. The staff was very professional and the room was comfortable. Would stay there again if I visit.
I'm presently staying in the hotel on a business trip. I am an IHG Gold member. Generally the hotel provides some refreshments in the room .. but today is the second day and none have been provided. At check in, staff is required to acknowledge membership status, but no one even bothered asking me if I'm a member. Check in staff advised that breakfast was included, but the restaurant staff advised that it wasn't. The hotel needs to get it's act together as the group that has got this franchise doesn't live up to the IHG standards. Shall make a complaint when I receive a message regarding providing feedback. Poor service .. find other places to stay!
I stayed here by chance as I couldn't find a nice hotel in Berlin to attend IFA. I used some IHG points to pay for the stay and I have to say, I was very impressed. The hotel feels very modern and celebrates the local airport (formerly Interflug's main base prior to reunification). I'm IHG Platinum and did get upgraded from Standard to Superior and liked the room - very modern and everything worked, including good reliable free wifi. The sauna / steam room etc facilities are excellent and I really enjoyed my time there. Note that the facilities are 'FKK' e.g. nude - this is perfectly normal in Germany and nothing to even flinch at - nobody else does - just go with it. In the evening I had a bar meal and a few drinks. Despite the bar being full with people from IFA, the attendant still managed to keep my drinks topped up at my table and came over to take my food order. Top marks! So, overall, an excellent experience. I left feeling happy and will definitely return. Superb stay.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn the night before we were due to fly back to Manchester. The hotel is close to the airport but not walking distance. The hotel does offer a shuttle service though, which is good if you're not driving. The hotel is a nice, bright, modern hotel. There was nobody at the reception desk when we came in but someone soon appeared as we waited to check in. One thing that did disappoint me was that we chose this hotel after searching for hotels with free parking on Expedia but parking was not free, it was 18 euros a night. There did seem to be parking outside of the hotel as well as the hotels own parking in its garage so I don't know whether that would have been cheaper or free but we didn't want to risk getting clamped. If you're planning a stay, I'd research the different parking options in case there's a cheaper one. There are two separate set of lifts in the building, one is a panoramic (glass) lift with views of the roofs of the buildings, and this lift took us up to our room on the forth floor. The room was contactless to enter but you had to put your keycard into a holder to turn the lights on. The room was fairly spacious and modern, with a big comfortable bed. The hotel has it's own restaurant and bar and you can order food from either but it was expensive and the selection was limited so we decided not to bother. There aren't really many options to eat near the hotel so I'd advise eating before you arrive or travelling out. That being said, the breakfast was the best breakfast we had all trip. There was lots of choice, including fried eggs, hash browns, beans, mushrooms, sausages and what passes on the continent for bacon. There were ample pastries, bread choices, meats, cheeses and cereal choices too. I would definitely recommend the breakfast. They start serving from 0530 too, ideal if you have a flight to catch!
We wanted to stay in a comfortable hotel near the airport on the last night of our vacation and the Holiday Inn fit the bill nicely. The hotel is newer with a modern and sleek design. Our room was large, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom worked and everything was very clean. Service at checkin and checkout was quick and easy. There is a shuttle to the airport that runs every 30 minutes that was perfect for us. We had drinks and dinner at the bar and were pleased with the food quality. Breakfast was a huge buffet with an incredible variety of hot and cold items - something for everyone. It is a great hotel if you want to be close to the airport but we noted a number of guests took the shuttle in the morning to the airport subway stop and then went into the city centre from there. One of the better Holiday Inns I've stayed at.
Easy to find, clean, friendly staff, sufficient free parking outside or paid inside. We had some really good food late at the bar at a reasonable price. Modern, clean and well equipped rooms (we had a superiour). The only complaint I have is the price of the breakfast. Its really overpriced if not included in your roomrate...
The hotel offers a well proportioned family room. The meals available in the large bar area are of good quality and reasonably priced for a hotel of this size. The hotel provided free parking while we were abroad for 14 nights and an airport transfer was provided in both directions free of charge.
Stayed 4 nights 13-17 July 2017 nice hotel but only for business travelers with car 30 km from Berlin, shuttle to airport every 30 min and 30 min to Berlin by train. No one shop no place to eat near hotel. Breakfast is good. Sauna expensive - 10 EUR per person
